‘Sherlock Holmes’ Movie Stills — FIRST LOOK!
Jude Law, Robert Downey Jr., and Rachel McAdams (pictured below) are all featured in this first batch of movie stills from USA Today.
The core of the story portrays the relationship between the bohemian Sherlock Holmes (Downey) and bourgeois Dr. John H Watson (Law).
“There are many duos we wanted to draw from,” Jude says. “Something as eccentric as The Odd Couple to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Withnail and I and Laurel and Hardy. It’s the kind of friendship you can only have with someone of the same sex, a person you adore but who infuriates you.”

Isn’t Downy a little short to play Holmes? And I never knew Doc Watson was supposed to be ‘hot.’ Oh, well. My curiosity has been spiked and I’ve no doubt I’ll see it anyway.
Thanks Jared. It’s been a long wait for these stills but they are worth it. Everyone is is for a big surprise because this is not your father’s ild Sherlock. It liooks like it will be sensational and representative of
the world today.. They’ve searched for the real Holmes and Watson
and wewill be the better for it. Bravo to the cast and Ritchie and to you
jared for bringing us these pictures (and I’,m sure there will be many
more to come.)

It does look like a great cast. I’m not too sure about Guy Ritchie, but maybe he’ll surprise me. I’m looking forward to seeing it.

i saw him on the set of my blueberry nights. he was filming in a little cafe in soho in new york city. i wasallowed to watch them set up the scene and he smiled at me. i tell you i still feel that look. the guy’s a blooming wonder. he can certainly melt a heart….

could you comment a little about jude and your reaction to him…what was he like….where did you see him etc.,
@dolorescraeg: I saw him and RDJ on the way to the lab where I work in north brooklyn. There were a lot of people standing around with cameras and screaming, so I went over to see what was going on. A lady told me that they were filming the sherlock holmes movie, which I’d heard about on this site. They were really nice signing autographs and taking pictures, They looked really tired though :(
