The rumors of marital strife continue to surround Hollywood’s golden couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

Rumor has it that after weeks of fighting and coming no where near a resolution to their troubles, super couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston took a break from each other. The boiling point was reached when Pitt took off for Vegas with friends. Aniston checked into an L.A. hotel alone for four days. This is just the latest rumor to engulf the couple.

Brad Pitt Eats At Palm Grove (Nat’s)

We saw Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston during our Christmas/New Year’s 2004/2005 Anguilla vacation. We were enjoying a meal of lobster and crayfish at Palm Grove when we noticed Jennifer Aniston, David Arquette and Cortney Cox sitting at the next table.

Where was Brad Pitt?

Eating down by the beach, alone. It seemed that things were a little shakey between Jen and Brad.

A couple of weeks our suspicions were confirmed. Brad and Jen announced the split!

My husband is still mad at me and you might be too, Nori. Why? Because I had forgotten my camera back at the villa. But you can ask Nat next time you eat at Palm Grove. It’s all true!

Jennifer Aniston threatens Jossip while Peter Brandt rewords those pot claims

The fight continues between Jennifer Aniston and paparazzo Peter Brandt, and somehow Jossip finds itself in the middle of things. Before we get into the latest court filings (and law firm lobbying), let’s catch you up to speed.

Back in December, we heard from Jennifer Aniston’s attorneys over at Lavely & Singer (who we’ve been in touch with repeatedly regarding Colin Farrell’s sex tape, but that’s a whole other matter), who asked us to take down photos supposedly depicting her topless in her backyard. Now whether those photos are the ones at the center of lawsuit Aniston filed against Peter Brandt (for details, go here) or the pics that circulated back in 1999 isn’t of much concern to us – details, schmetails – but her legal representation took issue.

So, fine, we took them down.

In the ensuing weeks, we were tipped off to defendant Peter Brandt’s Los Angeles Superior Court Notice of Demurrer filings (which we exclusively posted here and analyzed here), where he defended the photos he took of Aniston for reasons including, among others, that she had no reasonable expectation of privacy (sitting on the hill in her backyard in plain view of passersby) and that her exposed breasts were part of the public domain (GQ redubbed Woman of the Year issue, anyone?).

Oh, and it was also in that Demurrer filing Brandt claimed his photos depicted Aniston and boyfriend Vince Vaughn smoking pot. As you can imagine, Lavely & Singer (which rep Aniston as well as Vaugh) weren’t too pleased. They fired off this note to Jossip:

By posting an excerpt from certain documents filed by Peter Brandt with the Los Angeles Superior Court in the lawsuit by Jennifer Aniston against Peter Brandt, you have libeled Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn by republishing false and defamatory statements about them, namely, the false claim that the photos of Ms. Aniston and Mr. Vaughn taken by Peter Brandt showed them smoking marijuana. This is a lie and the photos filed with the court clearly show the statement is a lie. Moreover, in response to a demand from Ms. Aniston and Mr. Vaughn that Mr. Brandt withdraw the false and defamatory statement about smoking marijuana, Mr. Brandt immediately filed a document with the court (i.e., Notice of Errata) in which Mr. Brandt withdrew the false claim he had made about Ms. Aniston and Mr. Vaughn smoking marijuana.

We demand that you immediately withdraw and delete all of these defamatory statements about Ms. Aniston and Mr. Vaughn and we further demand that you retract and apologize for repeating the false and defamatory statements about the smoking of marijuana, which statements are provably false and had been previously withdrawn by Mr. Brandt.

As it so happens, these lawyers were telling the truth! Well, sort of. Hit us after the jump and we’ll explain the rest — as well as treat you to previously unreported court filings.

Brandt’s legal team at Lee & Kaufman, it turns out, did indeed respond to pressure from Aniston’s lawyers to change the language in his Notice of Demurrer filing. So three days later (Jan. 6), his attorneys filed a Notice of Errata, which stated the following:

Defendant, Peter Brandt hereby files its notice of errata to Defendant’s Request for Judicial Notice, page 1 for the purposes of clarification. The following language: “…and which show Aniston and actor Vince Vaughn together smoking an unknown substance which appears to be marijuana” will instead read: “and which show Aniston and actor Vince Vaughn together while Mr. Vaughn is holding a cigarette of an unknown substance in a manner consistent with a person holding a marijuana cigarette..”

Defendant additionally hereby files its notice of errata to Defendant’s Demurrer, page 13 for the purposes of clarification. The following language: “Additionally, as the Court will see when viewing the sealed photographs, Aniston and her companion, Vince Vaughn appear to be smoking a marijuana cigarette at the moment they were photographed on Aniston’s balcony..” will instead read: “Additionally, as the Court will see when viewing the sealed photographs, Aniston and her companion, Vince Vaughn were together when Mr. Vaughn is holding a cigarette of an unknown substance in a manner consistent with a person holding a marijuana cigarette, at the moment they were photographed on Aniston’s balcony..”

So there you have it, folks: Paparazzo Peter Brandt concedes that Aniston and Vaughn weren’t necessarily smoking pot, but were doing something “consistent” with someone who would be smoking pot.

Last night we spoke to Peter Brand to get his reaction. He wanted to make it clear: “We absolutely did not drop our intention[by filing the Notice of Errata]. Only the language has been changed.”

Meanwhile, over at Lavely & Singer, we’ve been assured the photos under seal do not, in any way, depict Vaughn or Aniston smoking pot. Could those attorneys be telling the truth yet again? We’ve got a hankering that we might soon find out.

I keep hearing that Jen can’t keep a man, but really, the choices she has made, my question is if they don’t treat you right, are they worth keeping?

What if JEN is the one that isn’t treating them right? After all, look at the vindictive lies she made about Brad in the VF article? Look at the way she made her tacky little friends lie about Mayer wanting her to pay for everything? Look at the snarky and snide comment she made about her making sure that Mayer keeps his mouth shut from now on? Its obvious who really treats who bad - and who wears the pants in these relationships! There is a real vicious streak Jen has that shines through in her interviews. Honey, even rose-colored glass wearing Jen syncophants such as yourself surely can’t be THAT starry-eyed that you don’t ask yourself, why CAN’T she keep a man! Honey, there is a PATTERN emerging. No matter how deeply in love you starry-eyed silly brainwashed fanbots are, surely you have to ask yourself WHY? Surely, it has occured to you that SHE is the one with the problem? Or is it just that you don’t WANT to believe it, because then it would cause you to question the rest of your guillible and brainwashed beliefs about Jen? Bottom line, its CLEAR it is SHE who doesn’t treat men right and who has the problem. It can’t ALL be a coincidence…. Even YOU have to admit that in your deepest heart of hearts, to yourself. Once, ok. Twice, yeah, 3 times plus? Come on! If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, treats her fellow ducks badly and is dumped like a duck - its not likely to be a cat.

Face it to yourself in your heart of hearts. Its all WAY TOOOOOO much to be a coincidence. She has an abusive pattern of behavior. She comes across as a standover bully and a ball-breaker. You can’t reat men like sh it and expect them to stay and suffer being bullied and mistreated. Men won’t put up with selfish, demanding, insecure, clingy, needy, bullying and abusive girlfriends. It is VERY CLEAR she is the one with serious anti-social interpersonal relationship issues. And deep down, even you can see this.
