I think Clay is really great looking. I also think he is very nice and nice people are always crucified in the media, on the internet in gossip blogs. God forbid a celebrity is genuine, charitable and Christian. that seems to be a recipe for ridicule and haters obsessing about them. I also love that he seems to have broken away form Idol. I look forward to him making it on his own and forging his own path away from that machine. I know I will be very excited NOT to see RCA or 19 M on his next CD.

Clay is just living his life. He knows there are bullies out there who try to make something negative out of everything he does, but he just ignores. I think that is the meaning behind the Mother Theresa quotes. Clay has been bullied all his life and instead of getting better as he got older the internet has made it even easier for people to make up stories and say nasty things all the while hiding behind their computers using fake names. Anonymity seems to embolden people.

He is Nothing but a CON-MAN and what few fans he has left, keep going on every article trying to make people believe he is a…..Good Guy, very HUMBLE, Religious, Great Singer and a Funny Entertainer. Unbelievable how many haters are posting. As for the person who commented about Clay and Kelly Ripa, Simon Cowell also put his hand over her mouth when he was a co-host. No rant from Kelly on that one. Also no rant from Regis the numberous times Kelly did that to him. Or Kelly licking Howie Mandell (germophobic) door **** cover and handing it back to him. Anyone who knows anything about Clay knows he was kidding around with her. But Diva Kelly chose to trash him on the following show. Unprofessional? You bet. He had already sent flowers and apologized. Even on the show, when she responded the way she did to Clay putting his hand over her mouth, he immediately said “Am I in trouble?”
As for his fans, the ex-fan who commented makes it seem like fans left him in droves. They haven’t. Anyone who actually has met him or knows him personally, has nothing but good things to say about him. He’s been a target of the media since season 2 and has repeatedly told fans to ignore and not try to defend him. Other than keeping his sexuality to himself for a long time (his right, and he hadn’t even told his family until 2 years ago), this man is exactly who he appears to be. And that’s a good guy with a good heart. Not perfect, but nothing at all like haters seem to believe.
When he was in Spamalot, one of the employees working there told a fan that Clay was very nice and down to earth. He was surprised because of the negative things in the media and he found Clay to be nothing at all like that. The press seems to love putting a negative spin on things and haters love to hate. I’m sure nothing will change.

I happen to read alot of celebrity articles and I know some are pumped up to make them look good, but not the constant lying just to make themselves look good. I really think the lying, more than being gay drove fans away. He is answering questions and blogging on the OFC because after membership was over, and lowering the price, he knew how little fans he had left and he better do something to keep what little he had. Some renewed after his q&a. It won’t last though. Always excuses for him….too busy, sick, taking care of his son, etc, etc.

Lay off the Kool-Aid and think back about 5 years to now, and what was being said, (even in private sites about the rumors) and then to last year, it all ties in. He IS what they have said!

I think Clay Aiken is a very handsome man. And that’s not his boyfriend in that photo. Reed Kelly is a dancer presently on tour in Europe with French singer Mylene Farmer. And the story about him getting tossed out off the American Idol set is an out and out lie. It never happened. I think that’s why he blogged the Mother Teresa quote. The man has nasty untrue stuff said about him all the time. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be.

The same ones that invade clays personal space so much that they went to his boyfriends facebook and became his friend. Des - the reaction that the Clay fans are having right here on this site is exactly what I am talking about. It’s overinvestment in a celebrity to the point where they attack anyone who says something they don’t like about Clay. The charges of jealousy, bitterness, etc are pretty typical of the Claymate mantra.

You say it was a few of them but I belonged to the Clayboard and it was more than a few of them to the point where they ran off the more moderate fans and all that was left were the lunatics.

NO-ONE ‘anywhere’ can say anything bad about Clay..or….you are told you are jealous or you are too invested and mad because Clay did not talk to you, …the list is endless. Do they not realize that THEY are the ones that have stopped him from getting new fans? Or run off other fans?? Do they care? They have tried to shove him down everyones throat every place they go. Asking how they like him to the point that at the first Spamalot when his last CD was released, they were so sure that all these people they talked to would buy it. Well, we know how that turned out.

Clay is out and Proud. He looks happier than I have seen him in awhile. (good for him)…but…..doesn’t he have better clothes he could have worn at the D.F. and Friends get together? Most men had suits on, he had jeans that was so baggy in the knees and he looked bad compared to the others.

Not to the public but to his friends and associates. A lot of gay men do that before they fully come out as gay–Elton John claimed he was bi-sexual and married a woman before he came out as gay. George Michael, Lance Bass they were with women, too. Clay didn’t need to go into any of those explanations when he came out and he shouldn’t have to. If the fans don’t want to accept it and him, then they need to move on and let it go.

I won’t bother reading all the comments before this because I can see the usual haters are here. I just wanted to thank the folks here at JJ for these fantastic pics of Clay. He just keeps getting better looking as he gets older.

As someone who is far from perfect, I don’t bother to criticize every mistake or lapse in judgement by celebrities. It’s isn’t up to me to critique their lives. I love Clay’s voice and his heart.

I love Clays voice and his heart, and cant believe all the haters. Half of Hollywood and AI are still hiding in closets, and deceiving everyone. Yet Clay gets all the backlash. Very amusing. and pathetic.

Clay made his own choices and deserves the backlash resultant.

Where’s Parker?

Clay is a great guy and does a lot of humanitarian work with UNICEF and the Bubel Aiken Foundation. He’s also very talented!! I can’t believe all the haters. If you don’t like him, move on with your life. Clay is an amazing man.

Clay looks amazing. Wow, some creepy people posting like if they really know him or had a relationship with him. Poor Clay, he had some freaks on a leash for fans. Good riddance.

Clay became an over night sensation. Maybe each of you judging what Clay should have done, might put there self in his place. God hates all sin.

Next, time you judge maybe you should judge yourself. No one is perfect. Jesus came for sinners. I think we have enough to do to judge ourselves. Let Jesus judge Clay. Jesus looks at all sin as bad. After, all we all killded Jesus. He died for everyone of us. We are all sinners. Just, because I believe does not mean I am perfect. That, wont happen till the next life. I strive to be like Jesus, but no one has made it there yet.

Clay is a talented, wonderful man who has done some very good work using his celebrity. He’s making something special of his life, which wasn’t all that easy growing up. Be happy for him, rather than knocking him. what does that do for you. Be a good person, too.

Yes, he has had to put up with alot that was uncalled for, but maybe some of it was. MAYBE, he was as rude to them as he was with some fans I saw that did absolutely nothing. They were not causing a scene or screaming, but very quiet, and when he went by to shake hands, he was downright nasty. It wasn’t the only time I witnessed him doing it. You say he is not to blame for anything and I find that very hard to believe. They just don’t pick on someone without a reason.

Cricket, again I agree with most of what you said. I do not think it would have made such a difference, him admitting being gay, after Idol, as to be honest most people already knew, or should have at least thought he might be. He is not the first, by a long way, look at Adam this year.There are many other idols that have done really well as well that are gay, Will Young etc etc.

For me the tragedy is his talent always gets overlooked. As a singing teacher for many years, I can honestly say Clay is one of the best I have heard, and I do not think we have even got the best from him yet. He is also amazing on stage as an entertainer. It seems to me, so unfair in this day and age, when celebrities do atrocious things and get away with it.

I stand by what I think as well, in so much as I feel that Clay has been treated appallingly, by ex fans and the media. So Sad. I hope he keeps singing as he actually is tops.

Well, according to the lastest news and reading his blog, Clay has crossed the line again. NOT about AI because he was spot on. It is about his comment about Adam. Clay should know better than to post this, because he knows it would travel and be twisted,..but…..he has gotten to be such a sarcastic a** the last few years.
