@Cil: CIL, for the luva gawd, take a chill pill. Yes, so Clay’s gay. Big deal. And maybe he did withold some info from the public, but do you tell everyone about your life? I doubt it. I’ve been a fan from day one, and always will be. Gay ro straight, black or white, I love and adore Clay the man. He’s better now that he has come out because he is free to be who he is. Clay is a great guy and does a lot of humanitarian work with UNICEF and the Bubel Aiken Foundation. He’s also very talented!! I can’t believe all the haters. If you don’t like him, move on with your life. Clay is an amazing man.

Clay looks amazing. Wow, some creepy people posting like if they really know him or had a relationship with him. Poor Clay, he had some freaks on a leash for fans. Good riddance.
I met Clay once last year and he was a lot of fun, not at all what I was expecting from all the crap I’ve read about him. My coworkers ended up impressed with him, too. So I wish him the best and yes, good riddance to crazed fans who hate him for coming out on his own terms and may karma smite his haters who make up all kinds of stories that mislead people like me.
Clay became an over night sensation. Maybe each of you judging what Clay should have done, might put there self in his place. God hates all sin.
Next, time you judge maybe you should judge yourself. No one is perfect. Jesus came for sinners. I think we have enough to do to judge ourselves. Let Jesus judge Clay. Jesus looks at all sin as bad. After, all we all killded Jesus. He died for everyone of us. We are all sinners. Just, because I believe does not mean I am perfect. That, wont happen till the next life. I strive to be like Jesus, but no one has made it there yet.
The Pharisees, Judged Jesus because he ate with sinners. Also, rmembers Jesus told them to cast the first stone and they all walked away. Why? Cause everyone was guilty. I have seen people judge others when they are doing the same things or worse. All, is sin and Jesus is going to correct all of his creation. We will all be washed clean someday.

I see people called “Haters” here. I have read the posts and nowhere do I see anyone say they hate clay…just upset with him. Did I miss something?
The way I see it, everyone has the right to comment on their feelings and If I remember right, clay had said in his blog acouple of years ago,….’DO NOT DEFEND ME’……and yet, time after time, here comes the claymates defending him and Yes, they are always right and everyone else is wrong. I’m sure clay would be so proud of all of you.

Cil - You are absolutely right! I don’t care who is gay or not gay, but he deceived his fans in MANY other ways. His personality has done a complete 360 in the past year. He is rude and cavalier and dismissive about the people he has hurt. Don’t let the ignoramuses and the Kool Aid drinkers get you down. People don’t understand what some of us have gone through unless they went through it too.
Clay is a talented, wonderful man who has done some very good work using his celebrity. He’s making something special of his life, which wasn’t all that easy growing up. Be happy for him, rather than knocking him. what does that do for you. Be a good person, too.

@AngelaAlbania: angelaalbania, just because you are a christian and no longer support him does not at all mean no christian supports him anymore. i am very much a christian and i totally support clay, always have, always will. people like you give christians a bad name. there are plenty of christians who can see past someone’s sexuality and see how amazing they are. it is a shame you have to be so close-minded. i hope someday, you will be able to practice forgiveness a bit better like Jesus Christ himself did.

Unlike Mother Teresa who actually showed up and helped people, SOME humanitarians (like Clay) show up for photo ops and OTHER people do the work.
His fans throw money at him because they have a crush on him…..and they have ALWAYS been wrong about who he truly is.

Cricket, you know, I can see what you are saying, in some things, I am still a huge fan though, as I love Clays voice. Having said that, I cannot see how Clay can be blamed for what happened, and called a liar and a con man .I have a gay nephew, and he kept it from all the family till he was 32, all his friends knew.
I think the fans themselves are to blame for going OTT. They put him on a pedastal themselves, and made him into something NOBODY could possibly live up too. As hard as I try I cannot see why it is Clays fault at all. I do not agree with the life style, but that is none of my business.
Clay is different, and I do not think he cares about how he looks either.
Maybe he could have done things a bit differently, but NONE of us has walked in his shoes, so we cant judge. He probably wishes he had done things differently as well. How many of us have wished we had done things differently,and that is out of the medias glare .
He has been given a lot of unnecessary stuff to deal with, all negative hardly any positive, it is a shame.
It has never been about his amazing talent ,which is tragic.

Yes, he has had to put up with alot that was uncalled for, but maybe some of it was. MAYBE, he was as rude to them as he was with some fans I saw that did absolutely nothing. They were not causing a scene or screaming, but very quiet, and when he went by to shake hands, he was downright nasty. It wasn’t the only time I witnessed him doing it. You say he is not to blame for anything and I find that very hard to believe. They just don’t pick on someone without a reason.
