OlderKristin Cavallari To Bring Drama To ‘The Hills’
Former Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari will be “replacing” Lauren Conrad in the upcoming season of The Hills and bringing the drama with her thanks to her self-proclaimed acting skills.
EW reports the 22-year old’s first appearance will be the May 31st season finale (she catches the bouquet at Heidi and Spencer’s wedding). Here’s what she told the mag:
On stirring up drama: “It’s a TV show. I’m not going into it like, ‘I’m going to make great friendships with these people.’ It’s work! And drama sells. I think that’s why they’re bringing me in, because I know what works… The goal for me is to get my fans excited about me again. When I first started out, I had a celebrity name but I didn’t have the acting skills I have now. If I have some buzz with my name again, I feel like it will only help.”
On rumors that producers are plotting a romance between her and Justin Bobby (which The Hills producers deny): “I have no idea! (laughs) I don’t think MTV would be like, ‘Oh you’re dating him now. This is your boyfriend.’ But they might try and set up situations. I’m totally cool with that. Again, it’s a TV show and they need to make it entertaining.”

hey jared i was going to email you about this a couple days ago…but i figured the story kinda sucked. anyways but if you go on brody’s twitter he links a story about him and jade at a club in nava when they were hosting there, and there was an interview where brody said that KC will never replace LC on the show. that the hills is lauren’s show.

oh damn god.. forget this guy…
Boy is this a lifesaver to her career, and of course she’s going to be an obedient soldier. Regardless the show is going to suck with Kristin as the focus. Lauren brought (or tried to bring) some class and dignity to that hot mess. Without her it’s going to be another piece of reality crap. Think Bad Girls and the douches they love.

Ugh, the drama on The Hills is why I avoid watching it. Here’s a clue, MTV. the drama is not the only thing that sells. I actually watched for Lauren and lauren only. Shes a cutie pie
This girl Kristin should at least admit that shes only doing it for money and not implying that she’s good at drama reality television. If she was really good at Laguna Beach like people claim, why didnt she just continue doing reality tv like Lauren Conrad? It looks like she felt like she was too good for reality and started going off to act for real. but obviously that failed cause her name died…

@kay: I am fascinated by The Hills and try not to miss an episode. I know it is not totally reality but am in “shock and awe” that there are people that really live this way. I will continue to watch faithfully no matter how shallow the show gets because “in reality” that is how many of us really live! So Kristin-bring it on girl-hope you can add to the mix!
