Vanessa Hudgens: I Can Feel Your Halo
Vanessa Hudgens (in Black Halo) joins costars Alyson Michalka and Gaelan Connell at the Bandslam event at LA’s Grammy Museum on Friday (May 15).

Vanessa has talked about her role in the film, saying, “My character is a lot more darker, more introverted [than Gabriella in High School Musical]. She’s very deadpan throughout the whole thing. [She spells her name] S-A-5-M and the 5 is silent. She’s cool like that, it’s how she rolls.”
Bandslam opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, August 14.

Beautiful FILIPINO girl.
It’s funny how everyone wants her to go down and are constantly wanting her to fail, but she never does. She’s 20 now and can start beginning to do more serious roles unlike before. I don’t see why if you don’t appreciate her, you read the small artcile if her name is in the headline, then you open her post to comment on her and then examine her outfits and quotes. For someone you guys dislike you’re giving her alot of attention. It would almost seem like you guys want to know about her. And that’s either very immature or some form of jealously.

VANESSA is a beautiful person inside and out with lots of talent. I think she’s going to surprize alot of people when she shows how good she really can act. If you don’t like her thats your op.,then why read and comment on her threads?

Yes, I am 11 x 5. And maybe you would do well to take your own advice. You wrote some ugly comment about someone who apparently gives you no positive feelings and yet you obviously came back to read more about that same person. You must enjoy negative reinforcement—or maybe you are so desperate for attention and someone to talk to you had to say something insulting as you figured someone would respond to your pitiful attempts to bring down a beautiful young woman with lots of promise. You probably knew you would get no attention if you said something nice or even a CONSTRUCTIVE criticism so you took the cheap shot route to get noticed.

Back to topic, Van looks cute, I love the outfit but not so much of that boots, but she still awesome. Anyway, I am excited for ‘Bandslam’ looking forward to see and good luck to all the cast!

She looks fantastic. I think she chose the boots because they’re comfortable and since she took a flight right after this event I think the boots are just fine.
I don’t really understand why people spread hatred all over Vanessa’s posts. We, vanessa’s fans, don’t care about your comments whatsoever, and of course neither does she.

I don’t understand why everyone is always doubting Vanessa on her acting skills, I reallize HSM is what made her so popular, but she did have OTHER roles before it (Thunderbirds…Thirteen..etc). I agree though, I dont’ really think Bandslam is going to help her “break free” (love the HSM pun? haha) from previous character b/c they are pretty similar in the sense of being in a high school setting and singing. But I feel as though in a couple of years, Vanessa is gonna prove everyone wrong with her acting. I could be wrong, but I just feel like this role isn’t going to help much, but her roles in “Beastly”, “Suckerpunch” and hopefully “Dead@17″ will push her out of her Disney Mold completely! Good Luck V! And I agree, her outfit is adorable, except for the boots..
