OlderAbbie Cornish Cannes Look Gorgeous
Abbie Cornish attends the premiere of her new movie, Bright Star, held at the Palais Des Festivals during the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on Friday (May 15) in Cannes, France.
The 26-year-old actress paired her gorgeous Toni Maticevski grown with Jimmy Choo “Dane” satin sandals. Boyfriend Ryan Phillippe suited up and cheered on Abbie from the sidelines. Later in the evening, the couple attended the party for the launch of Belvedere IX held at the Le Baron in Cannes.
Bright Star is based on the three-year romance between 19th century poet John Keats (Ben Whishaw, pictured below with his hair up) and Fanny Brawne (Cornish), which was cut short by Keats’ untimely death at age 25.

I’m getting a smile and a laugh from the people posting hate here. Just can’t let it go, can you? Just shows those view points are not based on reality. Abbie is a beautiful woman as we can see here and extremely talented. This film is her official launch. I’ve never seen so many pictures of Ryan looking so happy and smiling. It is obvious that he is very proud of her. You can watch her walking the red carpet and entering the theatre on the Cannes video feed. It is so precious because after she and the other stars receive an ovation she is craning her neck to see Ryan. They are a cute loving couple.

According to the twitters Ryan showed up for all of his press commitments except for the very early morning pictures. What was interesting is Abbie was with him for everything he did today.
@Lena: It wouldn’t shock me if she were ‘fake-nice’. Everytime I see TV interviews of her, she always has a phony smile on her face. It’s so wacky and artificial.
As much as I don’t like Ryan, they do seem to be a happy couple and he has a little smile with her, unlike when he was with Reese. He’s still a dog, at least now, he’s a somewhat happier dog.
