I think he should have been cast as Donald Blake and Alexander Skarsgard cast as Thor. I hope that he does well though. He has a hell of a lot of Mighty Thor studying to do and twice as much physical training concentrating on mass and definition. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT FAVREAU AND BRANAGH GET TOGETHER TO MAKE SOME KIND OF CAMEO OF DONALD BLAKE IN IRON MAN 2 TO CREATE SOME BUZZ FOR THE THOR MOVIE!!!!! Thor isn’t popular amongst non-comic readers so casting an unknown is ok for Thor and Loki BUT The Warriors Three, Lady Sif, Surter, and Odin have to be cast by well known actors, aside from an Iron Man 2 cameo. Best of luck but make the cameo happen, it’s highly necessary to help sell the Thor movie.

I also recomend that he wear some boots that Thor normally does in the comics to help make him tower over all of the rest of the Asgardians and Avengers(except for Giant-Man & The Hulk for obvious reasons).

ok ladies, im sorry, but i dont think he got the role because hes hot, (well maybe, its hollywood, where looks DO mean more than talent), but anyone who knows anything knows that he is going to be a terrible thor, not only is there an extreme lack of physical dimensions, but he can not, and will not, portray the epic, heroic, passionate, fearless god of thunder. Sorry, but this is an epic fail on hollywoods behalf, they should have picked someone whos been in more than a couple tv shows and a movie lol.

Id rather have Alexander Skarsgård as Thor, cause 1. he is skandinavian like Thor, he knows the old language, and he looks like a real viking like the rest of us from skandinavia why the hell cast a man from the land down under?
