Abbie Cornish is Quintessentially Cannes
Abbie Cornish and Ryan Phillippe both attend the Quintessentially Dinner Party at the vitaminwater beach during the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Cannes, France.
The 26-year-old actress wore a lavender gown as she premiered her new movie, Bright Star, last Friday.
On Saturday, Phillippe joined Malin Akerman and Taylor Kitsch,at The Bang Bang Club Cocktail Reception held at the La Plage du Petit Club.

I love this couple, they keep to themselves and live a decent life.
Godness, Ryan looks so happy, I haven’t seen him looking so happy never ever, not when he was with general Witherspoon. Soooo pleased for him.

Fact is Ryan appears only on JJ when Abby brings him here. He has never appeared on his own in a long time. He is insignficant as an actor; he is important only due to the women in his life.
@whortensia: If you say so. HIs performance in Stop-Loss was remarkable. I have yet to see Franklyn but he has been praised for that. The scuttlebutt from his new film “The Bang Bang Club” is very positive also. But this is a gossip site and as such will tend toward frivilous gossip…which is his relationships.
I think Ryan is a good actor and he has nothing to envy to Reese talent wise he did a couple of movies that I really liked NOT EVERY GOOD ACTOR WINS THE OSCAR IT CAN BE THAT YOU WIN OUT OF LUCK AND I THINK IT WAS REESE’S CASE. Don’t forget HE WAS THE FAMOUS ONE when he got with Reese and people wouldn’t know who the hell Abbie Cornish is if he wasn’t for him .
To be fair I haven’t seen Abbie in anything so I can’t say if she is a good actress or not right now she is just Ryan’s girlfriend who got caught in his divorce drama .

If there are negative comments about these two they only have themselves to blame. He was a married man with two kids and she was fully aware of this fact but still set her sights on him. I think she is not as sweet and innocent as she may appear. She wanted to make a name for herself in the US. (Who had heard of her before her home-wrecking? ) He was henpecked by his domineering wife so easy prey for a calculating Aussie. Makes me think of one Nicole Kidman who pulled the same stunt because of her ambition except she wasn’t as mousy as this one. Ryan wanted to call the shots and I’m sure she is letting him do so for now or letthing him think he does. No wonder he is happy. Don’t expect some of us to respect them however or be happy for them. Frankly I could care less either way and can’t say I’ll be sad if I hear that they broke up some day which can happen. She looks as boring as him. They suit each other for now.

@Sassy: I’m sad for you that you would be so judgemental and bitter about virtual strangers. What if everything you said is true. How would that be a good thing? Abbie didn’t break up a happy household. Look at Ryan and Reese today. Can you even believe they were once married? They are so different. But they tried, very hard, to keep it together. In the end they were just miserable. Now Ryan is happy. Reese says she is happy. The kids are well loved and well adjusted. I think Abbie is the best thing that’s happened to Ryan since his children were born. Mazel Tov.
Abbie looks a bit like Charlize Theron. but still, she is not as beautiful as Reese.
