Cynthia Nixon: Wedding In The Works
Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon is set to marry girlfriend of six years, education activist Christine Marinoni.
The 43-year-old actress tells Extra, “My girlfriend and I got engaged last month. We’re hoping to do it in New York. We’re not going to wait forever, but we’re hoping it’s just around the corner…Sometime I think before the end of next summer, but we don’t have a date.”
Cynthia has an engagement ring but also reveals her fiancee chose not to have one: “[Christine] did not get a ring. She will have a wedding ring but she does not want an engagement ring.”
The sequel to the movie Sex and the City will “start shooting sometime in August.”

How do you know that I can’t make a difference - it’s that kind of defeatist attitude which fosters general ignorance. Loads of gays adopt - are you saying those children would be better off shunted round homes/ getting lost in the system? Biologically, yes, it is an ‘abnormality’ but do you find a partner according to his ability to procreate (subconsciously, maybe) but I sincerely hope that society (at least a samll section of it) has advanced to the point where we do not form relationships on the basis of physical appearance. Everyone knows that long-lasting relationships are based on a meeting of the minds……

i love it when people say that there are no rules or that all our norms are cultural instead of natural, people open up your eyes, look at your bodies, every species, even trees and plants, even insects have genders. Saying homosexuality is as normal as heterosexuality is just ridiculous. Why is there always a butch in a couple of lesbians? why do they need to use objets or fingers or whatever to recreate a penet-r-a-t-i-o-n? do gay’s a** get naturally wet when they have sex just like v-a-g-i-n-a-s???
I am against beating up gays and stuff they have always existed and will always exist and they have the right to live in peace and be happy but don’t tell me it’s normal. I forgot to say to you Americans to not believe the liars who say in Europe everyone agrees with gay marriage. In fact it only exists in 5 countries (Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Norway and Sweden) if I am not mistaken. There are 27 countries in European Community. Because of the growing strenght of gay activists some countries have created some sort of “contract” to create judicial rules (to avoid problems with inheritances or custodies for example) for people who actually live together without being married like gays, long time friends or even brothers and sisters. Even in France which must be one of the most secular and atheistic countries same sex marriage does not exist. I hope it will stay this way as long as possible.

I am happy that cynthia found love but being a christian I do not agree with the lifestyle. I am not for changing marriage to include gays since this is not how god intended it to be. I am tired of people acting like we need to change our religious beliefs because they do not like it. Tough, that is the way it is marriage is a holy tradition that is why it is called holy matrimony and ordained by a priest in a church! I feel if you want to be gay fine I respect that and don;t hold it against you but please respect and leave my religion and marriage alone!
I am for gays having basic rights for their mates but not marriage sorry.
It’s so not fair that indoctrinated people like the haters on this board have the right to decide if other couples can marry or not. Kids have grown up in split homes, without moms and without dads all the time. I my self had a single mom growing up who has the force of my being, I had a father who left when I was 2 and I’m just fine. The only thing get out of it is that I wish happiness for mother, no matter what.

Well, the fact that no one here has attempted to challenge my arguments prove their strength. You failed to answer my questions and only attempted to put me down. How am I the one bullying anyone - my arguments are rooted in logicality - I have backed up my arguments with countless examples. Yes, it was immature of me to call citydiva 19 a ‘puritanical freak’ but I despise it when people try to justify their behaviour using religion. If you feel a certain way - take responsibility for your actions, don’t hide behind religion! There is too much hypocrisy for my liking - Like Miss Prejean, She doesn’t agree with homosexuality but she will prance about in a tiny bikini and surgically enhance her body in the name of beauty - I’m sure they wouldn’t have approved of that in the biblical ages…….Now if I can admit my faults - why can’t others. You say I am bullying because you feel threatened by my arguments. Moreover, Obama is not my Messiah - he is not my President - how he decides to govern your country is not my concern. Furthermore, please do not attempt to patronise me with terms of endearment - if anyone’s screeching - it’s you. My posts aren’t bullying - I am simply trying to establish grounds for an interesting debate and so far, not many have responded with decent arguments. People telling me to ‘go back to the fields’ doesn’t even make sense and is irrelevent to the post.

Besanne, do you ever see their father with them - yeah they do have one- or does that not count with you? I have nothing against Cynthia and her partner, in fact I’m happy for them. I just wonder if the kids father has benefitted from this arrangement, something few people even mention.
