Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie: Cannes Arrival!
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (in Ferragamo) arrive together in Antibes, France on Tuesday (May 19) ahead of their red carpet appearance at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
Brad, 45, was last spotted taking sons Pax and Maddox to see Star Trek in Long Island, New York.
Angie, 33, came from the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands, where she attended the trial of a Congolese warlord charged.
Tomorrow, the couple is expected to attend the premiere of Brad’s latest movie, Inglorious Basterds.

Those who read my comments would know the truth. Brad has been in the Riviera. Antibes is a town in the Riviera about 1 hour away from Cannes. Angie joined him.

Before heading to the glitz and glamour of the Cannes Film Festival in France, Angelina Jolie spent Tuesday in a courtside booth at The Hague in the Netherlands watching the prosecution of warlord Thomas Lubanga, calling it “a landmark trial for children.”
At one point, Jolie found herself under the watchful eye of Lubanga, the founder and former leader of the Union of Congolese Patriots, who allegedly recruited and used child soldiers, according to the Associated Press. “After watching the proceedings from the viewing booth, I stood up and found Thomas Lubanga Dyilo looking at me,” said the actress.
“I imagined how difficult it must be for all the brave young children who have come to testify against him,” said Jolie in a statement given to the International Criminal Court.
After meeting with the ICC’s chief prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, Jolie headed to Cannes, where she plans to walk the red carpet with Brad Pitt at the premiere of his new movie Inglourious ********. Jolie was able to get a couple of days off from filming her movie Salt in order to join Pitt in the south of France.
Pitt arrived at the festival over the weekend, taking in lunch at the Hotel du Cap. This will be the couple’s third appearance together at the prestigious festival.

RadarOnline.com has learned that The Benjamin Button star has just lodged new plans with the Malibu City Planning Department and plans to start the work as soon as they are formally approved.
The star – who bought the stunning estate for $8.4 million in 2005 after splitting with Jennifer Aniston – is reportedly looking to sell it for $18 million despite the recession. Neither he nor his partner Angelina Jolie have hardly spent any time living at the remote property recently and he may be doing the additions in a bid to entice some potential buyers to make a formal offer.
An assistant told Radaronline.com on Tuesday: “It’s all still up in the air - but if the right price comes along who knows?”
The estate includes a glass-walled contemporary house with a large swimming pool, tennis court, and A-list neighbors like Cindy Crawford and Leonardo DiCaprio. Pitt had also installed a state-of-the art security system with cameras and infra-red alarms to keep any unwanted intruders away. The architectural buff has already carried-out extensive renovations at his other Los Angeles estate in Loz Feliz to accommodate his partner Jolie and their six kids Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 2, and 10-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
A real-estate insider confirmed: “The Malibu property is for sale at the right price despite the fact that a permit has been lodged to carry-out some renovations.”
“It is in a stunning location and despite the fact that the market is not at its peak right now somebody could still put in a great offer.”
A spokesman at Malibu City Planning Department confirmed that they had received a notice of application for a coastal development permit on the property.

In December 2005 at the Japanese premiere of MAMS, they existed from opposite sides of the car. At the 2007 Cannes after party, they entered the car from opposite sides. I suspect all of this has more to do with security than the status of their relationship.
I’m sure there are many other times they got out on opposite sides and other times they got out on the same side. Depends of the event, the logistics of the event and security.

Also in response to the Daily News article above, Brad did not leave his X in the most public manner imaginable. Brad and Angie did not make a public appearance together until November 2005, after his divorce was finalized. His X however was on tv all of 2005 promoting 3 - 4 movies that year. She, her PR team and the media made it public - not Brad and Angie.

LOL. So true, TRL! My public library has one of them. It was written by another Brit - can’t think of her name and really, who cares? The book is a howl. It consists of UK tabloid bits mixed in with Angie’s quotes about her life. Damned thing had me ROTFL. Example - the author said Angie’s mother was French. Saw your last post to me from the previous thread. I’m with you 100% on your sentiments…the topic with the trial will eventually come to fruition with its legal ramifications but it is not the end. The Ugandan government came very close with Kony turning himself in but he demanded immunity for his crimes, consequently negotiations fell through. He has eluded the government for over 20 years whilst terrorizing the people of Uganda…twenty years is a long time for a child to grow up not knowing any other life.
Granted the appearance of the JP’s at Cannes is great for fans and although some are brought “down” by the tragedy of lives we cannot control, the balance of the JP’s glamorous side and the not so glamorous issues that both AJ and BP are working towards will hopefully not be pushed into the shadows.
If you do decide to rent “War Dance”, please bring your thoughts to the threads as an OT post…I’ll read them, those not interested or find it annoying can skip, rant or sulk if they want. I always enjoy sharing with those who can give some scope to a broader discussion. (or we can exchange emails if you deem appropriate. I’ve not been able to discuss this movie with anyone because few will view it because of the topic and it’s stark reality. I also love talking about Uganda and it’s wonderful people.)

If a couple isn’t happy together anymore, or even if one of them isn’t happy anymore and wants to move on, a split usually follows, children or no children.
Decent couples with children will always remain parents to them.
If Brad and Angie split, they will always remain good parents to the children they both love.

I could care less if this couple are together or not. I think they deserve each other. In fact living with the mad creature is Brad’s karma.
I agree with everyone who feel that their arrival was different from the norm. Usually they or she has her claws all over him but now there is a definite distance and coldness there. I did not see a single photo of them together, holding hands or acting like a couple and how convenient that they dined en masse. It’s a nice cover up to avoid an intimate tete a tete dinner for two. For a couple who has gone through great lengths to nip rumors in the bud by photo ops of “togetherness” in the past, I would say that there must be a lot of truth in those tabloid rumors. Guess things are beyond the acting stage at this point and it’s too much of an effort to pretend they love each other. They remind me of that reality couple of the quintuplets, Kate and Jon.
Anyway it’s just my opinion and those who don’t agree can shoot themselves or bite me. :) You could also take a chill pill. You know who you are lol.

And why have embryo implants instead of letting nature take its course? She is a show-off and trashy. Those tattoos. Those huge, unnatural lips. That vein running down her forehead. That altered nose and jaw. Those inflated breasts. Those ridiculously skinny arms and legs and flabby belly and wide thighs–and she was that way before she had three children. But worst is her attitude towards knives and buying one for a six year old child. She is weird, ignorant, and not very articulate. Let’s save our adoration for people who really, truly make a difference to the world, the unsung heroes and heroines who put their lives on the line to bring food and medicine to children not only in foreing countries, but here in the US. There are millions who donate their time, energy, even money if they have it, and devote themselves despite working and caring for a family.
