Brad Pitt’s Sons See Star Trek
Brad Pitt leaves a movie theater in Long Island, New York after taking sons Pax Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt to see Star Trek on Saturday (May 16).
The 45-year-old actor was spotted earlier last week picking up his Chrysler 300 car at a parking garage in New York City.
Brad arrived at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday while Angelina Jolie is expected to join him within the next few days. He is currently staying in a chalet on the grounds of the highly exclusive hotel, just along the coast in Antibes, on the Riviera, People reports. At the festival, he will be promoting his movie, Inglourious Basterds, which premieres at the festival on Wednesday.

PEOPLE didn’t say he arrived in Cannes on Monday but on Saturday. And you are saying these pics are from Saturday But another blog said they were from Friday. So where is he? Was he in Cannes on Saturday or NY?

He wasn’t in Cannes on Friday. It would be physically impossible for him to fly to France and arrive Friday evening. He was at the Mercer until 2pm lol

When Mom and Dad have to work in the family and one of them has to travel it is understandable thath one of them stay at home with the kids especialy if they have six children. All my friends do that one parent stay while the other travel and that does not mean they are having problems or they a re getting separated, it is just what people to work do even thought I hope Angie join Brad in Cannes they nare such a beautiful couple that jus irradiate love. Brad Pitt is not in Cannes yet. No one has seen him, he is with the love of his life, Angelina Jolie.
It would be impossible for Brad to be in both NYC and Cannes on Saturday. The movie wouldn’t have ended until sometime mid, late afternoon. Between air travel and the time difference, he wouldn’t arrive until Sunday morning. Either Brad left or leaving for Cannes on another day or the pictures are from a different day. I don’t get why there’s so much confusion of when or if he’s in Cannes.

It’s so wonderful to see Brad is the “‘boy’s dad”. He already said the girls would ‘crush him’ he loves them so much, but he really seems to enjoy his sons. So affectionate, and at the same time THE authority figure the boys need. I remember Angie said she was so touched the way Brad related to Maddox, and doing “boys things” together. Can’t wait for their Cannes appearance!

I just saw Benjamin Button on DVD this past weekend, loved it. Oh Brad looks yummy when he ages backward, when he’s young and blond, he looks like he did when he first broke out in Thelma and Louise. Even in his mid-40s, there is something about Brad, the way he carries himself, the way he casually wears his clothes, the way he is so confident, all this makes him super-sexy.

Besane - I agree with you. Brad really loves his sons a lot and loves to do different things with them. But he also loves his daughters too. He obviously has this really special father-son bond with both Mad and Pax. And naturally with Knox too. But he´s still too young to be taken out with the older boys for these ´boys-only´ outings. However, in a year or two Knox sure will join them and he´ll have a blast with daddy Brad and older brothers Mad and Pax. Both Mad and Pax look like they´re saying “Go away, you stupid paparazzis! This is our special time with dad!” Mad has grown a lot lately and so has Pax. When he came to the JP family he was a frightened little boy but now he´s much braver and isn´t afraid of showing how he feels about the goddamn photogs! Maybe something that big bro Mad has taught him (ha ha). Both boys sure are big Star Trek fans.

According to simplyBrad these are from Friday 05/15. The same day he was seen around Soho and was picking up his car from a garage. And it makes sense because he is wearing the same dress although his car changed.
Maybe he left Friday night and arrived in Cannes on Saturday.

It’s great that he took the boys out to the movie, but it is a PG 13 movie and sorry, it isn’t for kids this young. I didn’t wait till my son was 13 for PG 13 movies but he was around 10 years old, not 5.
We will see the pics of both Brad and Angelina together when they arrive at Cannes. The Today Show will be interviewing Mr. Pitt and it airs tomorrow morning 7am E.T., if it’s live from Cannes, then maybe there will be a live blog somewhere on this website!

My boys are 6 and 4 and they saw the movie. The only two things in that movie that they may need to close their eyes for is the beginning when the baby is being born and the scene with the green women other than that the movie is fine.
I am waiting for Brad’s interview with the today’s show…he is not on yet.

But then they did something else most kids don’t get to do, they jetted off with ma and pa so they could show their faces at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Why everybody has an opinion how ’s the Jolie-Pitts raised their kids - who cares? It is their lives and their kids and they can do whatever they want. You can raise your kids the way you want and we don’t have an opinion about it because we don’t care. The Jolie-Pitts are movie stars and I like them for who they are. They do movies that I like to watch. Stop being so judgemental because at the end of the day, the Jolie-Pitts don’t know who you are.

With the abysmal opening of Jennifer Aniston’s new movie, “Management,” we couldn’t help wondering whether she might benefit from a little extra professional supervision herself these days.

For one thing, it’s a bit curious that a star of her caliber should pick a movie so far under the radar: “Management” came in 16th at the box office last weekend, earning only $378,420, and opened in only 212 theaters (compared with 3,527 for the top title, “Angels & Demons”). Still, even if she can’t draw the crowds to prove it, Aniston is at her best in quirky, low-key pictures like this one.

Her high-profile hits, on the other hand, regularly leave us baffled. And every time we see a new picture of her on the set of “The Baster,” we have to ask: Why does America’s most famously single woman continually put herself in awkward positions onscreen?

Did she really have to make “The Break-Up” right after her husband left her in the most public manner imaginable? Was the unfortunately titled “He’s Just Not That Into You” truly the only script worth taking? And of all the films available, why choose “The Baster” (in which her character impregnates herself with a turkey baster) when the tabloids have made her biological clock the subject of obsessive speculation already?

Meanwhile - and though we hate to make the comparison, it must be done - Angelina Jolie has managed her career to near-perfection. Sweetie, “PG” means “PARENTAL GUIDANCE”. That’s NOT a minus sign between the PG and the 13. It’s a dash, which means, more information to follow. The rating “PG-13″ means Parental Guidance for any child under 13 is required. Brad is their father, ie, one of their parents. Therefore, if he takes his children to see the movie, they are allowed in the movie. Which, in turn, renders your comment completely idiotic.

CANNES — Everyone is on tenterhooks ahead of Wednesday’s premiere of “Inglourious ********,” not least the stars of Quentin Tarantino’s Nazi-slaying epic.
The director’s mad rush to finish the film in time for Cannes has meant that virtually no one, including “********” headliners, has seen the movie.
“When I arrived in Cannes and saw the posters on the Carlton Hotel and I wasn’t on them I thought, ‘Oh no, they’ve cut me out,’ ” German star Daniel Bruhl, one of the film’s leads, told The Hollywood Reporter. “I saw Quentin, and he said he hasn’t cut a minute. But I won’t know what’s in or out until the premiere.”
The version of “********” that bows in Cannes, however, is unlikely to match the one that Universal and the Weinstein Co. roll out at a multiplex near you. Wednesday’s screening clocks in at 2 hours and 40 minutes — reassuringly long for cast members worried about ending up as cutting-room dross — but a programming challenge for distributors.

X literally had no offers for almost 2 years after she made The Break Up. If she’d had any, you know homegirl would have done those movies in flash. But…she finally starts getting scripts again and the first movie she decides to do is based on a book called “He’s Just Not That Into You?” Bear in mind that at that point X had been through VV and PMBP and God knows how many others that were nobodies she had for fcuk buddies. So today I woke up around eight and started getting ready to go to the ICC. It’s quite an interesting endeavor to start going in the direction of something when you have no idea where you are going. So I started with buying a ticket to the Hague, and then getting on the train. I first got off at the Central station, and found the nearest tourist/map shop. There I was introduced to a very nice shop owner who not only sold me the map but also made sure I knew exactly how to get to the ICC, and he gave me a taste of the Hague (that’s what he called it). It was a little hard candy that tasted like coffee. It was just that extra boost I needed to head off to the ICC. (mental note to go back and buy the bags of the coffee candy…delicious) So I went back to central station and got on the train to Voorburg. Voorburg is another part of the Hague where the ICC is located. After getting off the train I started looking around…the shop owner said to look for the white building. Luckily it wasn’t far. Less than a block away was a formidible white building which exuded justice. It really did. It just looked like the ICC. As I got closer it really looked like the ICC with all the tall fences and special security. Today I thought it would be nice to get introduced to the ICC by simply just going to the hearings. I went to the hearing and as I was led into the visitor room I was instructed between the V.I.P. areas and the “common” areas and the witness areas. I took a seat on what ended up being the V.I.P. row. oops. One thing I do here is I always scan the room and check out what shoes people are wearing. So I looked to my left and saw a wonderful pair of black stilettos. Immediately I thought American…or foreigner at the very least, but the woman’s profile was gorgeous and it reminded me of Angelina Jolie. She seemed to be immaculately put together and I was quite surprised when during the private sessions (when the witness chooses not to have his answers broadcasted to the audience) she spoke French to her collegues. Yet there was still that distinct American accent. The witness was discussing the torture methods in the training camps, torture methods which were applicable to both adult and child soldiers within the UPC. Some of the things which were described were not even fathomable to me. They would also periodically show the face of the accused. At times, when the answers directly incriminated him you could see in his eyes a fire and a passion that I’m not sure I’ve ever seen before. Someone who was pleased with his torture methods and someone who felt little remorse. It was written all over his face in those moments. Yet there were also moments of just routine military discussion in which you saw a different side to him. A relaxed presence which could send chills down your spine because of his nonchalant demeanor suggesting he had done no wrong. After the incriminating testimony was given which suggested the perpetrator’s role in war crimes against children the woman sitting just a few seats down on my left got up to leave. I looked over to wish those wonderful shoes goodbye and I notice the petite figure which was supported by those shoes and that it was Angelina Jolie! She is much more beautiful in person than in any magazine or interview. If that’s what she looks like in print then she is not very photogenic. Now it all made sense why she was wearing ridiculous shoes and each of her hairs was in a perfect pony tail. She is also much more petite than I imagined her to be. I was a little star struck to say the least. But alas the trial was to continue and I was to hear more testimony of war crimes committed by the UPC.
Following the recess I went to check if I could just walk into the building…definite not. Apparently it’s pretty uber secure. So then I decided to go back in the the city centrum and get some food along with getting the next train back to Leiden. So now I’m here in Leiden. Completely amazed at my day. Oh and I almost forgot to mention. I have made some contacts to interview later this week. Success.

Hope this clears up any concern…not just ‘hating the Jolie-Pitts’ - but a child that was in a sheltered orphanage 2-3 years ago may be a little stunned to see a PG 13 movie especially at such a young age.
I have not seen the movie or clips, but you’d expect a 5 year old to be still watching disney type movies….at least my boys were.
I have no idea what these boys are used to watching and I’m not suggesting Brad or Angelina would force or subject the kids to scary situations - it just seemed an odd choice based on my experience with other parents and my own children.

I wonder if articles like these about Angie’s humanitarian activities, about something so serious as using children as soldiers, ever shame those who keep saying Angie is a nutcase, etc etc based on her “wild activities” 10 years ago? I mean, all of iuc’s posts, and the demonization of Angelina by posters in other blogs, seem so silly when contrasted with something as serious as a warlord criminal’s trial. I wonder if they (haters) feel embarrassed at all, or they just regroup after a debacle like this and then continue worshipping the fraud while putting Angie down. Boggles the mind, doesn’t it???

I HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE OR CLIPS, but you’d expect a 5 year old to be still watching disney type movies….at least my boys were

Why would you assume Brad and Angie didn’t make sure the movie was acceptable for THEIR children? Many 5 year old boys & even girls want action and excitement. At least some of the time.

If anything a child with a history in an orphanage might have been exposed to more than a child sheltered in a family. You think they don’t see movies in Vietnam? Do people really believe orphanage life is a hearts and flowers life?
I agree. This is not some fly by night thing she just found interest in. She gave an interview a while ago where she talked about this trial and how important it is. A person who is not serious about humanitarian work would not be this invested.

I know that MPAA ratings aren’t scientific so if those kids had been 11 or 12, I wouldn’t have said a thing but they’re not. They’re too young to see those movies.
Management was a limited release, The Break-Up either finished filming or was in the middle of filming when she did that movie, The Baster has a great writer and source material and He’s Just Not That Into You was a box office hit, #75.
