Brad Pitt’s Sons See Star Trek
Brad Pitt leaves a movie theater in Long Island, New York after taking sons Pax Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt to see Star Trek on Saturday (May 16).
The 45-year-old actor was spotted earlier last week picking up his Chrysler 300 car at a parking garage in New York City.
Brad arrived at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday while Angelina Jolie is expected to join him within the next few days. He is currently staying in a chalet on the grounds of the highly exclusive hotel, just along the coast in Antibes, on the Riviera, People reports. At the festival, he will be promoting his movie, Inglourious Basterds, which premieres at the festival on Wednesday.

Angelina Jolie watches child soldiers trial

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) - Angelina Jolie sat in a courtside booth Tuesday at the International Criminal Court and watched the trial of a Congolese warlord charged with using child soldiers.
In a statement released by the court, Jolie, a mother of six, said the case against Thomas Lubanga is a “landmark trial for children” and paid tribute to the former child soldiers who travel to the court’s seat in The Hague to testify.
“After watching the proceedings from the viewing booth, I stood up and found Thomas Lubanga Dyilo looking at me,” Jolie said. “I imagined how difficult it must be for all the brave young children who have come to testify against him.”
Tuesday’s visit was Jolie’s second to the world’s first permanent war crimes tribunal in less than two years. The goodwill ambassador for the U.N. refugee agency UNHCR said children deserve special protection during wars.
“Using children in conflict is a heinous crime and destroys the very fabric of a society,” she said.
Jolie also met with the court’s chief prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, during her private visit to the court.
Lubanga, founder and former leader of the Union of Congolese Patriots political movement and its armed wing, has pleaded innocent to charges of recruiting and using child soldiers in tribal conflicts in 2002-2003.
His is the first international trial to focus solely on child soldiers. It started in January and is expected to continue throughout this year.
The United Nations estimates up to 250,000 child soldiers still fight in more than a dozen countries.

Geez, Ass, it wasn’t a secret since I said it was me. DUH! Homegirl, you need to go eat your spinach and Wheaties. I don’t know if they’re “brain food” but at this point anything would help you in the brain department!
The straightline distance between Amsterdam and Paris is 267.22 miles. The distance by road is 315.7 miles, about a 5-hour drive.
I wonder if articles like these about Angie’s humanitarian activities, about something so serious as using children as soldiers, ever shame those who keep saying Angie is a nutcase, etc etc based on her “wild activities” 10 years ago? I mean, all of iuc’s posts, and the demonization of Angelina by posters in other blogs, seem so silly when contrasted with something as serious as a warlord criminal’s trial. I wonder if they (haters) feel embarrassed at all, or they just regroup after a debacle like this and then continue worshipping the fraud while putting Angie down. Boggles the mind, doesn’t it???

LOL. Whatever they come up with…you know it’s killing them that Angie’s in Europe. Now Brad’s trip to France 3 weeks ago makes perfect sense…they were intending to stay at Miraval this week…while everyone’s looking for them in Cannes. These two crack my ass up!
