Dita is a burlesque dancer who does both public and private performances. Unless you personally know her schedule, you cannot state for fact that she spends more time on the red carpet than working. She performs at personal parties for bigwigs like Stephen Spielberg. They probably don’t release photos from the private events to Getty/WireImage, so just because you see her several times a month at a public events or being snapped shopping or walking down the street doesn’t mean she isn’t working the rest of the month. Being photographed at public events is good for her line of work. She is not a huge Hollywood star. She’s carved out a niche market for herself, so remaining somewhat in the public eye is needed for her livelihood. Plus, like a few said, she’s at Cannes for AIDS charity work. That’s a good thing so I don’t know why people are knocking that. Hell, if I were at Cannes and had the opportunity to attend the premiere of Inglourious ******** and see the gorgeous Jolie-Pitts and I.B. cast walk the red carpet, I’d take it too. Dita has her own money and career and pays her taxes. She can do what she wants and seems to be having fun doing it.
