Hayden Panettiere’s Tattoo is Misspelled!

Hayden Panettiere’s Tattoo is Misspelled!

The tattoo on Hayden Panettiere’s left side is apparently spelled incorrectly.

Her tattoo reads “Vivere senza rimipianti” (”Live without regrets” in Italian) but there’s one too many i’s!

The 19-year-old Heroes starlet’s tattoo says “rimipianti”, but it’s spelled “rimpianti”. Yikes!

The bikini-clad Hayden showed off her misspelled tattoo when she was soaking up the sun with her boyfriend, British TV presenter Steve Jones in Cannes, France.

According to http://www.freetranslation.com “Live without regrets” in Italian is “Vivere senza i dispiaceri”, the site also says that “rampianti” is “regretted”. Of course, all languages have slang so this may be proper in a slang term, rather than in a grammatical term.

Jeez give her a break .. shes not he first person to get a tattoo spelt wrong.

@vmars111:

Because Perez Hilton loves attacking her (remember he faked a picture of Hayden holding a dildo?). He’s the one people should be slagging off, not her. Not that most of the losers in this thread seem to be bothered…

Well…that’s embarrassing.

@gingerbreadmama. No slang at all. For sure in Italy we have slang words, but I can tell you, don’t trust those kind of web translations. “rimpianti” means “regrets” but is a verb form too, so the translator adapted it to a verb.
The thing is that the sentence is formally right. And it’s a lovely message too. But what a shame that “i”.

LMAO have to love irony..

I also have a tatto misspelled..It was supposed to say No Regrets, but the guy forgot the g so it sais No Rerets. Many people have got a good laugh out of it and I have even won a few tattoo contest.
It happens to the best of us.

shes an idot for going with it, you stand in the mirror and stare at every little detail .. she probably has no clue, she has the money to fix it she would of by now. its like when people get chinese symbols on them i often wonder how many of them dont mean what they think they are like heyy im getting angel on me in chinesse and really it means like a**hole or something crazy.

@adriana:

Umm,

“RIMIPANITI”

R-I-M-I-P-A-N-I-T-I
1 2 3 4

That is 4 “I” in the word, not 3. But you are correct on one thing, there are only 3 “i” in the correctly spelled word which is NOT what us tattooed on her back.

what a dumb *****, she must have gone 2 some beginner tattoo guy
btw she’s kinda starting 2 grow on me
she’s been looking pretty good the last few times ive seen her
tattoos r horrible, they’re just gonna look ugly in the future

that’s what you get for leaving education to pursue acting.

she is not the only dumb, everytime I watch the Ghirardelli advertising I think about the effort of Dante Alighieri to invent the italian language….
GHI sounds like Golf not like Jimmi.

sidewinder @ 05/22/2009 at 5:46 am

“rimipianti” is not a word, it’ s just rimpianti with an added “i”.
It’ s like “regerets” :-)

what an idiot. You’d think she’d at least google that crap before she gave it to the tattoo artist. LAME!

i’m italian and the i confirm that the word is wrong
the right word is RIMPIANTI

@ely
Damn if you’re going to get on someone for spelling rimpianti wrong spell TATTOO right, moron

for the Italian’s what is strength in Italian? i want to get a tattoo of it but need to find out the right way.

I’m italian: yes her tatoo is incorrect! ‘Rimpianti’ not ‘rimipianti’ stands for ‘regrets’ !!!! Idiot !!!

WHAT A STUPID B%TCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no worries @ 05/22/2009 at 4:40 pm

Ely goes to show us how easily someone can misspell a word. How many times did he misspell “tattoo”. LOL too funny!!

Y’all are the “idiots,” to use your favorite word. Take a second to think about it and a “misspelled” “regrets” makes a lot of sense, and is very witty to boot.

Strenght is forza in italian. But forza means also force and power. I think your significance for “strengh” is more like our “resistenza” (resistence, stamina) or forza fisica (physical power). I think your “strenght, power and force” don’ t an exact single translation in italian (maybe resistenza, potenza and forza but resistenza is not exactly the same as strenght).
MM i’ m getting down on this…
