Hugh Jackman is a Popscicle Parent
Hugh Jackman treats his kids Oscar, 9, and daughter Ava, 3, to some cold treats while mom Deborra Lee Furness watched on Thursday afternoon (May 21) at the West Side Park in New York City.
The 40-year-old Aussie actor hasn’t been updating his Twitter recently with good reason. Last week, Hugh tweeted, “Hey-Sorry, I have been quiet. spending much needed time with the deb and the kids.”

I think Hugh is just not shallow. He seems to be more into inner beauty which is a good thing. His kids are super cute and I’m sure he is a great father. I met him briefly at the Wolverine Premiere. He was so sweet to everyone.
His kids are lucky to have him. He is such an involved father. I wish my father was like that when I was young. He left us.

Hugh is absolutely wonderful. Deb is just way too old for him. She must be a “mother figure” to him.
Deb is only 9 years older than Jack…hardly old enough to be his mother. Deb is 49. Younger than Madonna and only three years older than Demi Moore. Her age difference is no different than Ashley Judd and her husband OR Halle Berry and her baby daddy. So get over it.
If she had a sleeker figure she would look much younger…but, this is why I love this family. Deb is very pretty - not Hollywood starlet thin, but pretty. Hugdh loves his wife - it’s obvious and loves his family. You never hear drama out of this family and it is so refreshing.
Now if you want to talk about a wife old enough to be her husbands mother thne you should point a finger at Demi Moore. Better yet there is the gross Madonna at 51 years old and her 23 year old boyfriend.
Deb looks so old… and she really does look like she could be his mother. I can understand why Ashton went for Demi… She actually still looks young and HOT.

Just at the moment I thought the posters at JJ and JJJ had reached heights of stupidity that have yet to seen in some parts of the world a bunch of you come on and show that there is no limits to ignorance, prejudice and just plain nastiness.
THere are more men than I can count in Hollywood in their 60’s with young children and 20 something year old wives. Debbie is 9 years older that Hugh hardly a milenium and having a child at 49 is not exactly a crime.
But beyond that all you do is show how unhappy you are in your relationships if you have one which I doubt by your remarks.
In the end Hugh loves his wife and no matter what she looks like to you she makes him happy - something I’m sure a good portion of you have no idea how to do even for yourselves.

she didn’t exactly abandon him. she kept in touch with her kids. I’ve seen jackman and his mother together and they seem to have a good relationship, and he always talks about her with a great deal of affection.
Love how this family revolves around everyday routines. Hugh is a big star, but you don’t see him carting around gigantic bodyguards just to go workout or shopping like Tomkat.

I know people who have met her and they say she is VERY bossy and

Sorry but just calling it how I see it. Living in NYC, I see celebs out all the time with their families and Katie-doll courted those awful paps EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!! I know some actors who have worked on set with the Jackman’s and they comment on how loving this family is together. Hugh and Deb are a team and have been together a very long time. Both are respected in both hollywood and broadway circles. To each is own and I wish them much happiness.

Oh trust me honey, he will one day! Look at what happen to Tom Cruise and Nicole. They were married for years and adopted (for whatever reason) two children. Then they spilt up, remarried, and had kids of their own. Nicole has Sundae Rose and Tom has beautiful Suri. It won’t be long before this happens to the Jackmans. Hugh will remarried a beautiful woman, a little younger than him. And will make his own kid. His wife on the other hand, I’m not sure what she’ll do. She’s too old get pregnant and considering her looks, it will be extremely hard for her to find a man to remarry. She more than likely be left to raise their two adopted kids. I have to agree with one poster that said they married with no-prenup. If it’s ture that they met while the were both in Australia filming a tv series. And he was a new actor and she was already an known actress in AUS. Then maybe they did married with no pre-nup. I heard he married her like 6 months after they met. They look like a really happy couple, and I hope they are happy, because if they are not, then Hugh is screwed financially if they ever divorce!

Hugh is just the perfect man. Smart, talented, gorgeous and totally devoted to his wife and kids. It is so nice to see someone who judges someone by their soul not their looks. Too bad that so many people posting can’t see it. They probably have not experienced it in their lives and therefore do not understand that it exists. Just because he is a movie star doesn’t mean he has to be shallow. I am not as pretty or as skinny as I was when my husband met me, but to him I am always beautiful. Hugh Jackman’s family is blessed to have a man like him.

Deborra-Lee Furness was a hottie and well-respected Aussie actress. Hugh was just out of film school, geeky kid when he did a movie with her. She was considered a real catch at the time. Honestly, if you Google her bio, you will see that she was absolutely stunning. Sad that she has aged very badly, and let her body go. He is 40, she is 53.
She also badly needs to go to the dentist for a cleaning and perhaps some light cosmetic dental work. There is no excuse for Deb to resemble Camilla Parker-Bowles.

I like how the Jackman-Furness couple does not present their kids with some strange but highly fashionable “bio-energetic-kabbala-zen-or-fengshui-sweets” but simple popsicles.
These kids seem to be allowed to be kids, although the Hollywood-Treadmill surely presses on the family.
I think the comments are always the same because lots of people are shocked at how ugly and old Deb is… in comparison to Hugh. The kids are really cute though! :) Oh well, I am sure Hugh likes Deb because she’s nice.
What a sad theme going on here….so much focus on age and looks….isn’t it what’s inside that matters?
Surely all that folks writing that Mrs. Furness is old and ugly are beauty-queens and -kings….If I will be in my fifties and stil be looking as good as she does I will be very happy. Why don´t all of you scorning her show us a pic of you…if you dare…What is the measure for beauty?
