looks goood! stunning as alwayys
vanessa is the best, i love her
cool poster.. the movie will bomb though, should have gone straight to DVD, would have been more successful that way .. can’t compete with all the major summer blockbusters :)
it’s annoying how the main characters are aly and that guy
but because vanessa is VANESSA HUDGENS, she gets featured as the main one..
like look at the ’synopsis’, it doesn’t mention her at all..
jippppppppp
I don’t normally like these films at all, but this one looks a bit more promising. With Lisa Kudrow it could actually be quite funny. But you never know.
The movie looks a good. Looks like a fun indie film for people to enjoy. I have to watch it first though.
@mary:
Yep it’s true, Vanessa is not the main character yet she is at the front. It isn’t right but you would be suprised how many times that happens in the business. It’s just because she’s better known.
To any adult’s who are going to say this looks like crap. This is a teen movie. A fun summer film!! It is not for you in the first place. It was frustrating when adults said HSM was horrible when the truth is you weren’t supposed to like it in the first place and if you did that’s great becuase you are able unlock the child in you. That’s a great quality!
If your a teenager and you still think this film is crap. That is fine, you are entitled to your own opinion. All I have to say is take the time to watch the film before you criticise it.
can’t she do any role beside singing?
@Saudia:
I understand where you are coming from but I don’t think it will bomb. Even though i don’t think it will top the box office or anything. It wasn’t made on a large budget. It will probably make a modest profit becuase it seems to be the only teenage film out of the summer blockbusters.
Not only that but it comes out after most of all the huge summer bockbusters have been out for at least two weeks so it has a chance. We won’t know till it comes out though.
P.S I meant to say “looks good” in my first post, sorry :D
At 1:30, Vanessa is reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower! Haha I just noticed she’s reading 3 or 4 different books in this trailer
WE ROCK! WE ROCK! that looks like Camp Rock
This is ’school of rock’ lite! That guy on the poster looks like the teen Shia Labeouf.
From the trailer, the movie seems to follow the script. I think it’s going to be an amazing movie. Can’t wait to see it.
Only 82 more days.
. . . and it’s not an indi film. It’s being distributed by Summit Entertainment.
soo ugly vanessa :S
JJJ, please.
@Malia:
Oh, i meant it has the kind of feel. Sorry, i should’ve explained that.
ALWAYS GORGEOUS VANE!
LAME
really, the only onw who’s seeing this movie are Vanessa’s fans who can’t make any difference between a good and a bad actress
@eliza:
Agreed. If you see the way Naomi, Malia and the rest of the fantastics praise her, they act as if she’s the next Audrey Hepburn.
GORGEOUS ♥
I meant fanantics.
the movie seems really stupid….but, for some reason i bet you i’ll still end up watching it.
and so many tweens/kids are probably dying to see it.
I really am wondering as well why they had to pick such an attractive guy. That’s definitely going to pull from the numbers.
He needed to be adorably awkward like a Michael Cera type or hot like a Zac Efron type. Fail. Vanessa and the other chick may save it though.
Who knows? Maybe she IS the next Audrey Hepburn, and you’ll never know cause you’re so steeped with ignorance and hatred, that you can’t ever understand that people grow and improve with experience. NO ONE is Audrey Hepburn when they start out.
I’m excited to see all these new projects of Vanessa’s; so many people believe in her and her potential, and I’m happy to be one of them!!
can’t wait for the movie!!!
love vanessa!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t wait for this . It’s just the kind of film to see to take your mind off
your troubles and just have fun.
I’m super excited for this movie
seems to be a movie with good music
a good story
fun
and beautiful people
super excited, the wait
vanessa this beautiful as always
@go sox: only Audrey Hepburn is Audrey Hepburn, no one can emulate her, she won’t have any heir, u must know this…at least u can say vanessa may become a good actress but plz, leave Audrey alone!XD
Sofia, hold your horses, dearie. Go Sox was just replying to the poster who said that we treat Vanessa like she was the next Audrey Hepburn. Well, now that it is mentioned, one never knows right. Noone would have thought then that Angelina would be what she is now, same goes for Brad Pitt and countless others. What I’m trying to say is have an open mind and don’t be too hasty to discount it out. Noone would have thought that we will be having a Black President of the US so soon, well it has happened.
bandslam?!? hahahahahaha.. “bandslam”?!!? hahahahahahahahaha.. oh man, to funny.
@go sox:
Compare High School Musical to Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I bet you haven’t seen any Audrey’s movies. You’re delusional if you think Vanessa could ever one of the next greats from the last generation of actresses like Audrey, Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Elizabeth Taylor, Meryl Streep, etc. Or this generation with Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet, etc. This girl is just a Disney girl who’ll fade away like the rest of them.
Vanessa is going to do amazing job in this movie,
I’m saving judgement until I’ve seen the film but from the trailer it looks like a okay fun film to go and watch.
I’ve gone and seen films with my favourite actors/actresses in and have enjoyed the film but have’nt raved about it but still enjoyed it and maybe even bought it out when it came out on DVD, the thing is your favourite actors/actresses are always going to make some films that you don’t like but other people do it’s a personal choice thing.
Vanessa is really just starting out on the big screen on a more regular basis so with every choice she makes some will like it some won’t but I don’t get why some people have to be so nasty about a film that’s not even out yet and so nasty about Vanessa as well.
Wheather it’s a big hit or a small one it does’nt matter it’s what she chose to do and by all accounts all the cast really enjoyed making it and had a good time. I think like it’s been said that Vanessa will suprise a lot of people with each movie role she does as a lot of people still see her as Gabriella and that role she done is now done with and she’s ready to move on and do more grown up roles but she is doing it gradually and not rushing. And in this one she only has 1 song to sing and that’s at the end.
@rosileee9:
I totally agree.
@nina:
Give us some credit, we’re neither fantastics nor fanantics. I think the word you were looking for is fanatic. ;)
I must say I’m flattered, you remembered my name. Since I rarely visit other threads I’m assuming you’re a regular lurker here to be able to identify us.
Now I wonder why a non-fan will constantly sit on the threads of a ‘no talent’ ‘wannabe’ actress. That’s dangerous, before you know it, you too won’t be able to tell between good or bad acting, we’re already corrupted so there’s no hope for us.
Thanks for the compliment, though. We think she already has Audrey’s grace, poise and style. She’s still 20, there’s time enough to step into those huge shoes.
Now scram and go take your spelling lesson.
Go Sox and Boji,
Ignore them. They are so obsessed with Vanessa and claim she’s fading away and yet will never leave her threads alone. I can assure you neither of them have watched any of Audrey’s movies.
They just can’t control their resentment and they won’t disappear to Meryl Streep’s and Kate Winslet’s thread so we’re spared the sight of them.
I guess it’s impressive if at the start of her career, Van is already being compared to Audrey Hepburn and actresses twice and thrice her age. Gosh, when she hits 30, she’ll be a legend at this rate.
Back to the more pleasant topic:
That is such an adorable smile Van is sporting on that poster. Love the play of colors on the poster and the guitars she and Aly are sporting.
I keep watching the trailer over and over again. I’m really excited about the musical performances in the movie. I can’t wait to hear the soundtrack and check out the movie multiple times.
=======================
Hopefully, someone will explain to the twats that there are different genres in movies and people generally go to see what appeals to them. That’s freedom of choice.
If a movie doesn’t appeal to you, don’t click on the thread and stay away from the theaters. Period.
I don’t get this online stalking of someone or something that doesn’t appeal to one! It’s not anyone’s business what fans think of the movie or actress or who is going to see it. But then resentment rarely reasons. What sour grapes!
@eliza:
Thank you, thank you. At least there will be more than enough room in the theater for us to fully appreciate the lameness. Can’t wait!
Now if only you can ‘make the difference’ between a Vanessa thread and a non-Vanessa thread and stick to the latter, we will be giddy all round. :)
Vanessa is awsome……cant wait to see this!!!!!!!
Looks interesting. Love Aly, so i’ll definitely be watching :)
@Naomi: I’ll be there enjoying what should be a “feel good film” I love my classic films I enjoy Audrey in every thing from ‘Roman Holiday” to “Funny Face” but lets just be realistic here if the same movies were to come out today opening the same day as Star Wars 12 or Terminator 100 while they might get critical acclaim which films would rule the box office? So I won’t miss the people who want to spend their 10 dollars watching cars flip and blood and gore. Remember while these films make 60 million on their first week, they cost over 100 million to make. Do the math to really be successful they have to make back the 100 million and then another 100 million. A small film that costs less will be consider a success making a lot less. It’s like comparing apples and oranges.

_____
Omg, are you really comparing a 32-year-old woman’s performance to a teen’s? Come on. Give the b*tch time to grow and evolve, which any actor was allowed to do without all the invasive sh** we have now and conglomerates that would rather make you a cash cow than mentor you.
@tee:
I know right? I have all Audrey’s dvds. Truth is that very few films will match those classics but then films are made today to the level of today’s audience or rather the loudest ones. Good films will always get good or mixed reviews but are hardly Box Office hits.
I burst out laughing when I read the inane comments because obviously anyone who has the good taste to appreciate Audrey’s movies would not be making the kind of comments those twats were making and for sure if Audrey’s movies were to be shown in the theaters today, you will not catch them dead or alive there irrespective of the ridiculous posing.
Box Office Mojo estimates Bandslam’s budget to be in the lower region of $10m -$15m, and considering the kind of movie it is, hopefully it should make a decent profit. It’s a feel-good movie with great music, perfect for the end of summer.
I’ll admit I watch very few teen movies (10 things I Hate About You being one of the few) but I think I’ll enjoy this one based on the trailer and the music, besides, Vanessa is in it. Definitely seeing it, whatever.
Hopefully we’ll only have like-minded people in the theaters with us while others go appreciate the blockbusters. At least, we won’t have to stand too long in the queue to get our pop corn.
hmm..she play the “rebelious” one, and when she sing, shes still sounds like chipmunk..very disney for a punk kid huh?
but she is the selling point of the movie though..
love nessa!
she is the best!!!
I reall like the trailer!
It’s really cool!
n the poster is nice!
I hope the movie is nice!
goaaaaaaaaad i love it , and i love that vanessa in the center she’s So gr8 and i’m so Exai
Uuuuuuu
LOOKS GOOD!
Go Vanessaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
HAHAHAHAHA!
Naomi just go kiss Vanessa’s a$$ already
and why is she the one in the center?
Goof! Awful actress…..bombs away delusional fans!
love vanessa.. can’t wait for the movie.
Thanks for posting JJ
@Naomi: I guess it’s impressive if at the start of her career, Van is already being compared to Audrey Hepburn and actresses twice and thrice her age. Gosh, when she hits 30, she’ll be a legend at this rate.
yeah sure…but she was not be compared to audrey by the oscar accademy though, just by a fan… a supportative and great fan…but i repeat, not the oscar accademy.
i hope you were joking.
@Sofia: LOL sorry for the mistake, i meant “she was not compared”!XD
Vanessa is not Audrey Hepburn, she is Vanessa Hudgens. The comparison was not made by a fan but by someone who doesn’t particularly like Vanessa as an actress.
People continue to forget that screen legends themselves all started from the bottom. They had to grow and learn as they moved forward in their careers. No one is legendary at the beginning of their career especially at Vanessa’s age. On top of that, the material she has put out so far isn’t at that point yet because she hasn’t had the opportunity to work with that kind of material.
In no way am I saying that Vanessa will end up like Audrey Hepburn or anything like that because we can not tell the future. All I am saying is you should give people the respect of not underestimating them in their craft. Give her a chance to prove herself over the next couple of years. Vanessa is young. She hasn’t really gotten anywhere in her career yet.
@Sofia:
She pretty much meant that if Vanessa works hard and grows in her craft over the next couple of years, she has the potential to reach that status as any other actress does in this industry. Any actress has the chance to get there if they work hard and prove themselves.
All you who are so outraged by Vanessa’s somewhat comparison to Audrey Hepburn…
1. How do you KNOW what Vanessa’s movies or acting will be in another 10 years? How do you KNOW she won’t be like Audrey or Katherine or Meryl? You are so resentful of her popularity now that you can’t bear to think that you will be proven wrong.
2. Do you know that many people are not that enthralled by Audrey Hepburn? I am not. I LOVED Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Charade and a few others and have them on DVD. However, I am not particularly a fan of hers. Two of her male co-stars who were very famous like George Peppard and Humprey Bogart actually did not like her and made fun of her. Now, I think they were rather full of themselves but still she was not all that loved by everyone. After years of having movies like Roman Holiday and such become known as classics people of the younger generation have accepted these particular actors are “great”. But as someone said, IF these movies came out now they woud probably be greeted with the same disdain as HSM just because they wouldn’t want to allow anyone to think someone beautiful could act or have any talent.
Once again, the emotions of resentment, jealousy, spite, anger, etc rears their ugly heads.
@Sofia: Geez, I was just putting down the poster who mentioned Audrey in the first place. I was in NO WAY comparing them.
@nina: You people don’t know how to interpret the English language obviously. I NEVER compared Vanessa to Audrey. I was merely saying EVERYONE starts out somewhere, and to belittle anyone for an early role is just ludicrous. And YES, sweetie, I am WELL aware of ALL of Audrey’s roles, as I GREW UP WITH HER. But I also believe in watching and supporting young actors as their careers develop. These morons think being Oscar-worthy starts in the womb. Ridiculous. Good acting takes years and years of experience, in most cases, and working with great directors who nurture that talent. I believe Vanessa has talent and I’m willing to watch it grow, and see what she does with it.
And thanks to all of you who DO have good language comprehension skills, and knew WHAT I was saying!! ;o)
vanessa looks cute.But I’m not sure if gonna be a good movie.
Is is just me, or Vanessa is trying to much to lower down her voice?
@LOL:
Done. What else?
@LOL:
Because she’s Vanessa Hudgens.
@Sofia:
Well, you don’t know what the Oscars will compare her to when she is Audrey’s age now, do you?
Awurbii, Karen and Go Sox, well said.
IT LOOKS AWESOME!
i can’t wait watch it!
@Karen:
So true, there is no way of any of us knowing what the future will bring for anyone, Vanessa included, her carer will go as she wants it to and in the direction she wants it to, not what some haters say.
Considering the fact that some of the new generations more popular directors and producers are showing an interest in her and wants her in their movies show that Vanessa does have potential of becoming something great, because I doubt that they would want to hire someone they found…what was it you called her “terrible” and someone who “can’t act” or w/e you’ve wasted time saying over and over again over the last few years. It wouldn’t be a very smart choice on the directors behalf, so sorry to burst your bubble haters, but Vanessa isn’t go anywhere anytime soon.
I think this movie will do better then we think, but we can’t know how well at this point. I have heard from Vanessa fans, Aly fans, Lisa fans and even David Bowie fans that have all shown interests, not to mention how many ‘Twilight’ fans that first said that they only would go to see the ‘New Moon’ trailer but after seeing the new trailer fro ‘BandSlam’ they have shown real interest in it, for me (and ok, I’m not in the business), a movie success don’t just come from how much money it gets in, it’s also from what people get from it, if nothing more then a fun movie experience, it’s worth a lot.
Michalka with Connell pair rockzzz in this trailer!
http://makeupadvice.blogcu.com/
lame
@Malia: summit is an indie studio lol
i dont understand why she likes to be in these lil kiddy movies
looks like a typical kiddy movie
i love vanessa but i wouldnt watch this crap
just like hsm3
@lakers fan in boston:
Vanessa knows she have a lot of younger fans and she isn’t one of those stars that just wants to get rid of them just because she tries to move on from HSM, so I think it’s why she have decided to go slow and not just do something really drastic so soon after HSM, which is a great way to go and shows that she knows what she’s doing, besides ‘Bandslam’ was filmed before HSM3. However, after ‘Bandslam’ she have two new movie projects to do this year, one ‘Beastly’ is based on a book directed towards young adults and so I’m guessing the movie will be toward older teens/younger adults, and then after that she will be working on Zack ‘300/Watchmen’ Snyder’s ‘Sucker Punch’ which will be rated R so that will definitely not be a kid movie. If you don’t want to watch ‘Bandslam’ because you think that it’s to immature for you then fine, but you won’t have to wait for long to see her do something lore mature so it should be fine.
Trailer looks stupid and the movie is a joke. Except for her avid fans no one really will pay money to see it.
Comparing her to Audrey is just so wrong. This girl stinks at acting and singing. She may be rich because of her tween fans but she is awful.
The only thing that keeps her in the spotlight is her relationship with Efron and even he is becoming full of himself. She acts like a baby and sounds like one too in interviews.
Somebody please make this jerk go away. Vanessa Hudgens is so over hyped it is disgusting.
She is such a loser. Sounds like a stinker of a movie to anyone over 12.
Well if it isn’t the 20yr. old Miss Slutgens. Vanessa will you be releasing anymore naughty photos when your career tanks? She wears a kiddie hat and bears all for the internet….what’s wrong with this picture! Efron is a fool for settling for that piece of white trash.
All of you haters get lost. We all love Vanessa on this site. She is our idol.
@leo: Man, are you gonna eat those words pretty soon. What an unforgiving, vicious, self-righteous piece of work you are.
the movie looks good.
The trailer looks amazing, can’t wait for this movie!
No matter where, Vanessa Hudgens always looks cheap!
@bluerose: I’m pretty sure she is out of your price range, and anyone you know, now or in the future and all your future/existent progeny.
And did you see those curves on Michalka, holy moly!
Oh dear, the twats are having serious ulcers and have come out to get some relief.
How can we help? We’ve recommended avoiding her threads but that doesn’t seem to work.
Oh well, here’s another recommendation:
When you hear or see the name Vanessa Hudgens, put your heads between your legs and chant ‘loser’ 100 times, ‘crap’ 24 times, ‘jerk’ 80 times, ‘disappear’ 46 times then end with ‘vamoose’ 200 times.
It’s been known to work ;)
again, this is a teen movie…should we raise the bar of expectations? no — shall we expect trash? no— i would say, in this time of economic crisis, this kind of movie wont hurt. a feel-good, relaxed, funny film, is what we need. take for example night at the museum, it went good in the box office…so everyone, chill…. don’t show your immaturity to something that is simple and relaxed movie.
Vanessa Hudgens is a main character too you know
@Gege: well said!! I couldn’t agree more!
i can’t wait for this. V and aly look fantastic. And the thing is i am not gonna watch the movie because of my fav friends star lisa KUDROW!!! <3!
@bluerose: cheap??? 2M ain’t cheap to me !! nor driving an audi..or having a big house! not to mention those movie line ups vanessa has…man, i dont see any cheapness in her…so maybe instead of throwing hate comments on some people you rarely know, better look at your own reflection, and reflect, and contemplate…you’ll be surprise. no one deserves to be called cheap, as life as it is , is not cheap….go and think about it, brother!
@Gege: You tell ‘em, Gege. Again, you are so right.
cool poster.. the movie will bomb though
i really wont to see this movie im realy exaiting lool
Eres unica!
i actually can’t wait to see this movie :D
Can she just stop being musical?
GO ALYYYY!
i love youuu

THE POSTER IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD AND VANESSA LOOKS SO STUPID!!!!!!!!!! NOT ATTRACTIVE AT ALL!!!!!!!! I SWEAR THAT MOVIE WILL GOING BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST LIKE THE CASTS!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPID!!
Vanessa Hudgens is soooo BORING! I don’t think she can carry a movie and she can’t act! I will not be wasting my money on this crappy film!
