Angelina Jolie Takes A Salt Slice
Angelina Jolie takes a break on the set of her new movie Salt to enjoy a slice of chocolate cake for a crew member’s birthday on Sunday (May 24) in Queens, New York.
The 33-year-old actress is back in New York as she continued filming for the new movie over the weekend. The set is full of NYPD cop cars as it’s being filmed right off the Queensboro bridge.
In the movie, Angie plays CIA spy Evelyn Salt who tries to clear her name after being accused of being a Russian sleeper spy.

She is amazing. JP fans this has been another great week. We JP fans need to stop letting the haters and tabs plant seeds of doubt. Brad has made it very clear that he and Angie are together. They do not need to be joined at the hip to prove their love for each other. There is no doubt that Brad and Angie are in love. God Bless the Jolie Pitts. All New Yorkers attention Angelina’s first movie ever is on the CW. It’s called Love is all There Is. It’s about two battleing Italian families who children fall for each other. Angelina looks as beautiful as ever and is just adorable in this movie. her Italian accent is however all the accents we have been hearing in her other movies with the exception of AMH. This is the first time I have see her photograph to be so small. She looks very tiny in this. Can she grow hair? Jeex her hair is past her behinnd. She must have been about 20 and Joy behar was in this movie.

Hilarious movie and wow Angelina is practically the same and this movie was in 1996. She’s been wearing black throughout the movie I think (I tuned in about 15 minutes ago) and her arms are as skinny as they are now. If you look at her face she still has the baby fat on her. Real women with kids work 40 plus hours a week plus another 5 hours of travel time. Plus the mother has to clean the house, cook and wash clothes. Don’t worry about Angelina spending enough time with her kids Worry about the other working mothers who don’t have enough quality time with their kids.

TODAY’S ontological question: what is Jennifer Aniston? The world’s most dumped girlfriend, a smirking over-age coiffure or a decent actress caught in the smog of fame? Aniston has often been better than the films she appears in, but what goes against her is her cover girl status and her willingness to put herself in awkwardly titled projects.
She filmed The Break Up just as Brad Pitt bailed, and was promoting it just as her new romance with Vince Vaughn sailed into stormy waters. He’s Just Not That Into You is possibly the worst film title you could agree to when you appear at the top of America’s Most Jilted; and as we speak, Aniston has elected to appear in The Baster, in which her character impregnates herself, while everyone in tabloid land wonders how Jen will ever have a family of her own. You can only imagine that she fell upon a film with the innocuous title of Management, like Oprah on a baked ham. Unfortunately, problems lurk in Stephen Belber’s directorial debut, too……………..

Anyhoo, dawne, as you pointed out, we had a deluge of anuston threads in the first two weeks of May. In fact, for the entire month of April there was an anuston thread on JJ almost every day and virtually no Angie threads.

Thats when many longtime JJ loyalist-JP fans were cussing him for being a sell-out and threatening to leave this blog WHICH WE PUT ON THE MAP BACK IN THE DAYS WHEN JJ WAS JUST STARTING OUT AND BEGGED JP FANS TO HELP HIM. (circa 2004-2005).

In the month of May the anuston threads were: Sat. May 2; Mon. 4; Tue 5; Wed 6; Thurs 7; Mon 12; Tue 13; Thurs 15. During this time there were NO Angie threads. Even tho she was shooting in NY and many other blogs had sightings of her, including her riding a motorcycle in the shoot.

We hardly had any Angie threads in the month of April, but there were some Brad threads. The last thread on Angie in April was posted Thurs. April 23.

Then in May, the first Angie thread came late in the second week of the month as the will-she/wont-she-go-to-Cannes speculation gathered steam, amidst all the break-up rumours which, interestingly, also became very intense.

Angie’s first thread in May came on Wed May 13 when there was a flurry of THREE threads that day. That came as the IB Cannes outing and, therefore, the JP’s imminent presence there, excited fans and foes alike. Then we had another flurry of posts on Tues. Then she abandoned her shoot and we heard it was due to “EXHAUSTION”. And we havent seen or heard of her since!

I love this movie. I had it. Some times I watch because I record when passed on the tv. It’s a light and funny movie and she’s adorable in it.

Well, The Baster is just about ready to wrap up (They started shooting the end of March)and it seems like Salt still has months and months of shooting.
Jen next goes to LA to receive the Women in Film award on June 12th then begins filming Bounty Hunter with Gerard Butler.

A week from now, no one will be talking about “Management,” and that’s an easy guess, because no one is talking about it even now. With “Star Trek, “Angels and Demons” and “Terminator Salvation” sucking all the available oxygen at the multiplexes, the only real chance “Management” ever had was to be a masterpiece, and, like most movies, it just isn’t.
Yet, before waving hello and goodbye to it (simultaneously), we really should pause and pay our respects, because this movie does something that only two or three movies to date have done: It gives Jennifer Aniston a chance to show that she’s a real-live actress, not just a light comedy personality or some tabloid poster girl for romantic disappointment. What’s more, Aniston makes use of the chance, without taking shortcuts or falling back on charm.
It’s a tricky role. She plays Sue, a successful saleswoman, working for a company that manufactures the sort of non-art art that you see on the walls of motels. Something in Aniston’s manner suggests that Sue is very good at her job but knows the job is pretty meaningless, and that combination results in a realistic and slightly rueful take on everything Sue experiences.
On a business trip, she spends two nights in a motel in Kingman, Ariz., where she meets Mike (Steve Zahn), who manages the place. Ostensibly, the hapless, lovelorn Mike is the focus of the movie, and yet almost everything we know about him, we get from watching Aniston’s measured reactions.
A lesser actress would have played Sue as a woman who immediately recognizes the good man underneath Mike’s hapless facade but Aniston holds back, and from that we understand a whole unspoken history of guys who never measured up. And we see why this one might not measure up either.
When it comes to movies, one’s looks are one’s destiny, which is why Aniston has been consistently cast in chirpy, adorable parts. But, in truth, Aniston’s emotional address has always had more to do with sorrow and dignified restraint, the humble watchfulness of an average, passive person.
If Aniston has a gift, it’s that she embodies a sort of exalted averageness, and she has maintained this gift despite the paparazzi that camp outside her door. It’s that quality that made her the platonic ideal of Girlfriend when she first came on the scene - even the lowliest guy could imagine her liking him - and it’s that quality that could still easily fuel an important screen career.
Every generation, after all, needs its screen exemplars of what it’s like just to be a person in the world.
In the meantime, there’s “Management,” painless and predictable, with an amusing if overwrought featured performance by Woody Harrelson, as Sue’s ex-boyfriend, and Zahn, stumbling and engaging, as a fellow with nothing to offer any woman but boyish devotion.
They’re fine, but it’s Aniston who does all the emotional heavy lifting, raising borderline cliche scenes to the level of art. Watch how she conveys an adult’s understanding of the limits of life and the limits of herself. Then watch her slowly regain her belief.
“Management” is just an average movie, but Aniston’s performance is a very lovely thing.

Angelina is earning 15 million for doing Salt. How many movies does Aniston have to do to earn that much? I’m sorry but the movies X is shooting sounds & looks like turkeys in waiting & will be shown time unknown. I don’t know why people sound surprise when a Jennifer Aniston movie doesn’t do well. The surprise is when it does.
I watched 1/2 an hour of Derailed whilst on a flight.
I’ve seen her on DVD RHI (yes, a girls night in!!).
The thing is, she’s always Rachel Green.
Now, my girls friends and I are fans of Friends and enjoy each of the 6 characters in Friends, including Rachel Green. However, we don’t want to see Rachel Green occupy the whole movie in a sequel to the Graduate. We don’t want to see Rachel Green in Derailed.
I wonder if the producers and financiers can understand the difference? Jennifer was great Rachel Green as one of 6 in friends. It’s the chemistry that they had. Rachel Green on her own is just irritating.

Let us not quickly overlook what is stated here Jasmine …the OPERATIVE word here is “IF……IF Aniston has a gift……” Even the Reviewer has to raise this question! And No conclusion has been drawn by the Reviewer because even he cannot be certain!
And after all her sit coms and idiotic rom coms that is ALL she has been able to attain to ….being a sort of “exalted averageness……” (And remember the Reviewer is questioning whether she has a gift or not…..) –
She has not grown one iota since the day she started “acting” (?)
And this fits perfectly with her skills because - as the Reviewer says in closing…..

What the ChinHen doesn’t seem to understand is that ANGIE IS MAKING AN $80 MILLION ACTION MOVIE. X IS MAKING A $25 MILLION ROMCOM. Therefore, X’s flick SHOULD take less time to shoot. Action movies, due to the fact that they do something other than sit around flip their hair about while moaning about being manless and babyless at 40, take longer to shoot. X’s next dud, when finished, will probably run around 90 minutes. Angie’s movie will probably run close to 2 hours.

Also, Angie’s movie started shooting the first week of March and included a 1 week delay because of cold weather and snow on the East Coast, plus Angie took off 4 or 5 days to go to Cannes and The Hague.

So our girl was really filming in NY yesterday. I t makes me even more disappointed, because probably if I had stayed a little longer, or gotten there a bit earlier I would have seen her. I think the young man when he told me to go to E 60th st, was giving me the right info. I was just so d*mn tired by that time. :lol:
Well, God’s willing, I will definitely be there for the premiere, as I am sure it will have it’s premiere in NYC.

lylian, only six hours or so ago she sang Memory and is now through to the Finals. People are putting money on her winning the whole thing. It’s on youtube. I found it through Google.
Great pics. It seems like they are really trying to finish up this movie soon. I do realize that weekends & holidays are often the best time to shoot certain public scenes so this makes sense.

According to Brad’s interview to German Bild, their children were in Cannes with them. I think the family had a mini vacation.

When Angie talks or talked about Brad/Kids the haters said she was gushing too much. Bragging about how great her life is.. rubbing Jen’s face in it..
When Brad talks about Angelina he is being fake, he is not expressive enough. He is avoiding her.. No matter what they do someone will find fault. This is the cycle we will always see.. Hate for the sake of Hate. When you hold them to a standard that others do not have to follow then comments and critisim is unfair and unjust.
When other celebs are out and about with their kids nothing is said. I have seen so many pics of Hugh Jackman and his kids then ever before. Note no one said he was pimping his kids for his movie. I have never seen him with his kids until his movie was coming out. Yet I will NOT say he is pimping his children. Will Smith and Jada have their kids in movies and take them to every premier that comes out. Yet no one screams pimping.
I see, Nicole, Halle, Jennifer, Christina, Heidi, Gwen, Tori, Marsha, Michele, Katie, Posh, and so many more almost everyday with their kids, yet never hear a word about them pimping them. Brad/Angie go out on one day and the web goes crazy. Brad’s movie will not be in theaters until August 21st almost 3 months away.. I hardly think he and Angie need to bring out their kids to sale a movie. But I think Brad/Angie have a great understanding of the media game. They know that crap is printed and as Brad said the avoid and do not respond. So yeah they don’t pay attention to it. I also note that most legit media outlets will not ask him or Angie about the lies printed.. And note that the studios must not care either.. It is not keeping them from getting roles offered.

ITAWY.. I am clapping like a nut right now.. You are so right. Friends was what 10 years ago. And yes most of the negative comes from women who are 35-50 years old. They are the ones still carrying the Brad left the “good girl” torch. Yeah you said it so true. Dynasty, Dallas, China Beach, Dawson Creek, so many other shows and where are those stars now. I think a lot of sitcom stars need to look at the history books. Jennifer like the rest of the Friends Cast are all 40 or older. That show showcased a time of young women and men in their early 30’s. That was 10 years ago. They all stayed on the show too long. All the other cast members went the route that most TV people go. She got more play only because of Brad.. Lets face it. She was not even the funniest member of the cast.. that went to Matt L, Matthew P and Lisa K.. So if she had not hooked up with Brad we would not even know her name. She would have been on one of those “Where is she Now” shows.. Her fans act as if she was the STAR of that show. He role was minium at best. If she had not had the romance with Ross then nothing. Yeah i did watch the show. But Lisa was my favorite character. It took 6 people to make that show a success. NOT 1. Jennifer’s character alone as a show would have bombed just like the Joey show did. Separate they all fail.. Together they were a success. They only person I know who was awesome on his own show was Kelsey G. but when he tried to not be Fraiser .. Look what happened..

Brad, who promoted his new film Inglorious ********, will be in the Amazon jungle to make a film about Brit explorer Col Percy Fawcett.
Angelina is off to Somalia to adopt another orphan.

Paul Newman met his wife on a movie set while he was still married, he divorced married Joanne and had another family with her. No his next movie is Moneyball shooting in June. That movie with Natalie Portman can’t get filmed possibly until Novamber or December of this year , The book still doesn’t have a script writer or director and no script yet. It will take almost one year to make it into a movie.
The romcom with Natalie doesn’t have the script yet. Steven Soderbergh has talked about filming Moneyball in June. Angie will wrap up SALT in June.
LOL so many rumors and probably all of them wrong. Simplybrad.com said nothing about that romcom with Natalie Portman being his next gig. It’s not even off the storyboards yet. Imdb.com said Moneyball is scheduled for release in 2011, not 2010. And they also said Brad and Angie are planning on moving the whole family to Brazil this summer while Brad shoots The Lost City of Z. However, that was back in February, and maybe Brad changed his mind about the whole project between February and now and moved up Moneyball.

There was a phone interview with Brad back in March or April with one of German blogs where Brad talked about IB movie and little about how papz tried to follow them in Berlin but how they were able to skip them and have found afew great stores and resturants to shop and to eat with their kids. At the end when interviewer asked what was his next plan , he said he is going to do a movie with Natalie Portman. I’m sure you can find it in the archive of SimplyBrad. It is from afew months back. maybe March or April , i can’t remember correctly. But bottomline is the book still doesn’t have a final script and director , so it will take months till they will film it. and in all honestly i hope Brad won’t do it , It is a romcom and i’m not interested in it. But maybe the book is interesting since i haven’t even read it.

First of all - there was report that Turkey Baster was filming 2 or 3 blocks from where Angie was shooting over the weekend. So the movie has not been suspended. Maybe X just doesn’t have any scenes to shoot this week. She’s not the only person in the movie - sorry Jason Bateman.

Secondly, Turkey Baster is NOT a studio movie. It’s an indie that secured a studio release AFTER it was already financed.

Therefore the real question should be - After misManagement bombed at the box office…will studio bother with a theatrical release, ie, spend money to market it, or send it straight to DVD. Spending money to market an X flick is like throwing money off the Brooklyn Bridge - you ain’t ever going to see it again.

Brad didn’t say the Portman movie will be his NEXT movie. He was asked about furture projects and said he’d be doing a romcom with Portman. He gave no starting date. Prolly cuz the movie has no freaking script! LOL. They just bought the rights about 6 weeks ago and hadn’t even hired a writer. There’s now way there’d be a shootable script at this point. Meanwhile, as others here have pointed out - Soderbergh said Moneyball starts shooting in mid-June…
