Lost star Evangeline Lilly takes the June 2009 cover of Women’s Health.
When asked which Hollywood A-lister she admires, Evangeline chose Angelina Jolie. She shared, “No one knows that woman; she’s a complete ice queen, which is perfect. Why should she be any more? She doesn’t owe us anything.”
She added, “[The Lost producers] have seen that I haven’t picked up on the opportunity to become a big movie star. It frustrates [them] that they’ve given me this chance to become the next Angelina… Sure, I’d love to be her, but just the humanitarian side.”
Evangeline also didn’t divulge any information on the status of her relationship with former costar Dominic Monaghan “If I were to tell you that Sandra Miggum and Henry Pickett are dating, would you ever care? They’re completely fictional, so you don’t know them,” she says. “Well, people don’t know us. So why should they care?”

What is Evangeline Lilly smoking, the question should be what don’t we know about Angelina Jollie, she has been open book about EVERYTHING from her first boyfriend moving in a 16 and cutting themselves during sex, to her being bi , to her using drugs, her weird marriage to Billy Bob, to her relationship with her brother , her farther, her talking about having lovers and meeting them at hotels before she hooked up with Brad Pitt, even with Brad who is famous for not telling the press his personal business she has revealed very personal facts like how they like to have baths together at the end of the day , and in one interview she said they have never said I love you to each other and that after spending all day in bed they came up with his new tattoos on his back , she even had a T.V crew around when she got that hugh tiger on her back, please Angelina started the trend of selling celebrity baby pictures to the tabloids. Ice Queen my a@@ I have never seen a celebrity manipulate the media interest more then Angelina. Lilly is one delusional girl.

Evangeline Lilly, who is likely only known to fans who have watched the overacting little imp ham her way through the past five seasons of “Lost” as pouty Kate Austen, says she’s not a big movie star by choice.
I couldn’t possibly sum up Lilly’s self-absorbed delusional over-estimation of herself better she does. In the June issue of Women’s Health, Lilly says:
“[The 'Lost' producers] have seen that I haven’t picked up on the opportunity to become a big movie star. It frustrates [them] that they’ve given me this chance to become the next Angelia Jolie … Sure, I’d love to be her, but just the humanitarian side.”
Ahahahahahhaa. And we thought she’d hit maximum self importance when she said in 2007 that she almost left “Lost” because she was sick of being famous.
In Lilly’s defense, the one-time missionary does say she plans to quit acting and focus on humanitarian work once “Lost” ends its six season run in 2010. And, based on the footage below — from Lilly’s pre-”Lost” days as a Canadian singles chatline pitchwoman — that may be her greatest humanitarian act of all:

She doesn’t give a second glance to tabloids or gossip blogs. She refuses to apologize for loving her partner and the life they have together. But she could have worded it with a better phrase.
That’s why i love both of these ladies. They share the same thing….mystery. Yes, provided by the media, blood vials, kissing brother and so on and sooooo foooorrrttt!!! But there is more about Angelina as well as Lily Evangelina !!!

I think when she says no one knows Angelina she means that Angelina doesn’t mingle with the hollywood crowd, and she admires that. Angelina makes her press does her movies and goes home. You never see her mingling with someone outside of her circle. You always hear of people who want to meet her but then they don’t (miley cyrus). She is as excluded to them as she is to us and it makes her more desirable.
I cannot comment on Evangeline’s acting ability or potential, but I will say this, she needs to broaden her vocabulary. Calling someone “a complete ice queen” is not a compliment. To most people, an ice queen is someone who is cold, unemotional and uncaring, which Angelina is not (more reserved that’s all). Words akin to “cool, calm and collected” would have been more appropriate.
Her pose is somehow weird.
I previously made a judgemental comment about Evangeline Lily when I heard some of the comments, but now that I’ve heard more of what she said in context….I understand what she is trying to say. That said, she has a VERY POOR WAY OF WORDING THINGS!…
…the ‘ice queen’ reference pertains to how Angelina is BOLD, and HONEST, and NO INTIMIDATED by the Hollywood phonies who try to ride her coat-tails in magazine interviews, or while reporting about her on E!, yet, as someone stated above, Angie is fiercely protective of her kids and relationship with Brad.
AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT’S JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE WORSPHIPPING ANGELINA FROM AFAR, WHILE ANGELINA SIMPLY IGNORES EVERYONE AND CARRIES ON WITH CARING FOR HER KIDS & DOING HUMANITARIAN WORK AS WELL AS ACTING.

I agree with you. This time, Evangeline Lilly just used the wrong words or phrase in expressing her admiration for Angelina. don’t think it’s a backhanded compliment. I understand what she’s trying to say. That AJ is different from the rest as she doesn’t care what people think about her as long as she lives her life.

If you want total anonymity and hate your life as an actress, doing a magazine cover story isn’t the best idea. She really shouldn’t give interviews because it only makes her like a tool.
Also, you don’t have to be Angelina Jolie to be charitable. People do charity work every day–many without the financial resources of Jolie or Lilly so their sacrifices are even greater. If Nicole…er…Evangeline wants to be charitable, just do it and don’t name drop to get more attention for yourself while you keep complaining about how you don’t want attention.

EL’S interviews are laughable.
First she points out that people shouldn’t be concerned with celebrities’ personal lives, because they don’t “know them”, then she one sentence later, she says she admires AJ because “no one knows that woman” she is a “complete ice queen”. As far as I can tell, AJ has always been very direct and upfront about herself, even if it causes her a bit of bad publicity. So, hypocritical, much, EL?

This little tv girl is a legend in her own mind. There is only one Angelina Jolie. Her compassion for refugees,her acting chops( an academy award winner), her brains (girlfriend flies her own plane and is on the US foreign relations council),her pedigree (daughter of Jon Voight,another oscar award winner), her brutal honesty, her beauty,etc. are so far superior to this television child that i find it amazing that she had the audacity to even suggest that she could be the next Angelina Jolie. Give me a break! And one more thing. Angelina’s partner knows who she is, her children know who she is, her brother knows who she is, the refugees that she has supported over the years know who she is, the United Nations has known who she is for over seven years. She doesn’t just write checks,she puts her life on the line every time she flies to Iraq or Afghanistan or Pakistan or Rowanda or Haiti.The real person no one knows is this television child because she’s done nothing of any meaning.
