The Real Housewives of D.C. — In Development!
Bravo just announced that a spin-off of its hit docu-series franchise The Real Housewives, is in development, this time set in the influential metropolitan region of Washington, D.C.
“We’re tapping personalities who are among Washington D.C.’s influential players, cultural connoisseurs, fashion sophisticates and philanthropic leaders – the people who rub elbows with the most prominent people in the country and easily move in the city’s diverse political and social circles,” said Frances Berwick, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Bravo Media.
These leading members of D.C. society will be attending important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings and fundraisers in Washington society.
The Real Housewives franchise has made its ways through Orange Country, New York City, Atlanta and New Jersey.
WILL YOU TUNE IN to the Real Housewives of D.C.?

This will be SO BORING.The only people who will be on will be very tacky social climbing wanna be’s.
Anyone can buy a ticket to a charity event. They should have fun with this show and tape in Miami,LA places where the contestants can get wild. Boring idea. I think the producers will be in for a surprise..
I am a Washingtonian. While I think most of the Real Housewives on the various shows are embarrassing self-serving narcissists, I think a DC series could be interesting. If only to dispel some uninformed ideas that the city and her population are only politically or governmentally oriented. Since the DC Metropolitan area has the most highly educated demographic in the US, I hope Bravo will choose a diverse group of ladies, who may actually, in some way represent the women of DC. Not just some wannabe embarrassments. Hopefully these women will not only be defined as “the wife of….” I suspect most candidates will be from NW DC, Bethesda, Potomac, McLean and Vienna.
Note: The word is discreet not “discrete” and DC is not a state!
@ Dave - a bunch of WASP’s???? Have you never been to DC???? You must be picturing a bunch of old stuffy whitey politician types… only a small percentage of the population, my friend. DC gets a bad rap.
DC is boring.
