Hugh Jackman & Daniel Craig To Hit Broadway Together in ‘A Steady Rain’
Wolverine hunk Hugh Jackman and James Bond stud Daniel Craig will be starring in a new play on Broadway this fall, according to The Post.
The drama, A Steady Rain by Keith Huff, is about two Chicago cops whose lifelong friendship is put to the test when they become involved in a domestic dispute in a poor neighborhood.
This will be Craig’s New York stage debut. In 2004, Hugh won a Tony Award for his role as Peter Allen in the musical The Boy From Oz.
WILL YOU BUY tickets to see two of Hollywood’s hottest hunks on Broadway?

Yeah, I forgot those scenes. It was the little touches like that. I love how Eva so knew that she had indeed just turned the tables on his little plan when she approached
i would so love to wrap my lips around a Bond “smoothie” too. I would so think of him! nice #377!!
PRIVATE: you said: “DC has not “always” received great reviews. Here in US he received close to horrible reviews for Defiance. His accent was laughable. His acting was very forced. ”
————————-
Here are the reviews from US critics as can be read on ya hoo…all of the criticism I read was regarding the plot, the director, the clichés in the writing of the character’s, but not of the performances—and NOT of Craig’s performance…
————————–
The N Y post says “it’s got a solid cast and three or four powerful scenes, but in the uncertain hands of director Edward Zwick (”Blood Diamond”), this promising premise is turned into basically an overgrown TV movie…. One of the movie’s big problems is that aside from the brothers, none of the characters are more than overly familiar archetypes… Craig is effective as Tuvia,” or this by the roll ing st ones mag critic Trav ers, who says “Daniel Craig, the best James Bond since Sean Connery, no matter how much Quantum of Solace sucked his spirit, gets a true story to dig into this time. And it’s a doozy. In Defiance, Craig brings grit and gravity to the role of Tuvia…” And this by another critic, “The lesson of “Defiance” is an awkward one: Not every true Holocaust story deserves a Hollywood feature…. an epic drama, no less, clocking in at 137 minutes - its fascination is diffused, and the movie becomes something of a long slog….Still, there is some built-in interest to the story, and the lead actors - Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber - are charismatic and committed.” Or this, from U SA today who writes “the cinematography by Eduardo Serra is evocative, and the main performances — particularly by Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber as clashing brothers — are strong.” Or L A times who says “”Defiance” has some genuine strengths but also some weaker elements… The strongest part of “Defiance,” frankly, might be those fraternal conflicts. Craig and Schreiber are two excellent actors, and both of them connect strongly with their roles as well as their fierce rivalry.”

Critics who did NOT like Defiance still PRAISED DC. The critics did not like Flashback either, but they PRAISED DC’s performance in it
—————————
I am in the US. The theater was packed the several times I saw Defiance, and people applauded at the end. Even the critics PRAISED DC in it. I didn’t see even one “close to horrible” review about DC’s performance from a critic. So, “wannabe, insider, private”—put a LINK where your mouth is and show us these “not ‘always’ great” reviews, in regards to his performances. Show us these “close to horrible reviews for Defiance”. Show us, who, besides YOU, here on JJ, has said his accent was laughable. I’m sorry, but YOUR opinions HERE don’t count as viable opinions of the considered merits of his acting by the entertainment industry. YOU have said his accent was laughable, here, on JJ, in previous posts, and you are trying to pass of YOUR opinion as “your boss” said. It’s just another lie, like all your other tricks and lies…. . So, no, “wannabe insider private”, no one believes that any CREDIBLE person in the entertainment industry would say of DC that he will get bad or mediocre reviews. Not even in the US. Not in Hollywood. And certainly, not on Broadway. BTW…No one said YOU were on the lowest rung. WHO is your boss? Maybe your BOSS is on the lowest rung of the ladder. Maybe the sweeper, on his cell phone, to his mother? But, in reality, no one actually thinks YOU are on ANY rung in the entertainment industry, except in your own wannabe mind.
I totally agree with you-he does not owe her a thing. The woman has a choice and she has chosen to do nothing but live the lux lifestyle without working. She obviously believes she must be around Daniel 24/7 to keep him. He has given her a very luxurious life and she has not lifted a finger to even maintain a minimal “movie producer” title. If a person choses to give up her identity for this type of lifestyle she will not gain respect only material things that money can buy.
To 371 that was my fav line also. I love the way Daniel plays Bond I just think they need to have more great lines like that that do show his subtle comedic side.
I wonder with Daniel’s Cocksickle on sale they will release a Monkey on a Stick too?
I wouldnt give ‘you know who’ the time of day. Addressing her obvious post is doing what JJ asked us not too.
@i wonder:
#380, are you comparing a monkey on a stick to Daniel’s cocksickle? Because I would sooo not eat any Monkey—-hheee! And i can only dream of meeting his cocksicle–what flavor would it be? ~guinnesslusts after Daniel’s GRAPE cocksickle!
Ah Guinness, you have not lost your sense of humour. Good to see.
I think Daniel will be very upset about these Ice Pops, if he did not agree to it, and I don’t see him doing that. What do you think?
@funny:
RE: Daniel and his Ice pop sucker…
I think Daniel would HAVE to agree to it, and maybe even Sony/Eon bec the Character James Bond is being used for Commercial purposes to make money and the product is in Daniel Craig’s likeness and image.
The ice pop inventor is making $$$ off of Daniel’s likeness and image and also from the James Bond character (product is shaped as Daniel coming out of the water in CR)- So I would think that Daniel, Sony and Eon are getting a piece of the profits, and/or maybe the ice pop guy paid some bucks and bought a license to use James Bond’s image…. don’t know the deets on that….
But I know that no one can make money off of daniels face and image without Daniel gettting something for it.
No, Eon have NOT agreed to it.
It does NOT have any Bond reference to it at all on it anywhere irrespective of the likeness. The image as such is not copyrighted as it might have been based on the trunk scene but that will be hard to prove.
Del Monte’s legal department know what they are doing and Daniel/Eon cannot do anything about this.
Yes Del Monte can use the likeness of anyone as long as they dont infringe on anything copyrighted.
In the UK, his face is public domain as long as D Monte do not claim it to be a Bond or 007 lolly.
Once again, Daniel does NOT have any connection to this and I hope Del Monte will release a statement stating that.
“Matt O’Connor, from Del Monte Superfruit Smoothies said; “Daniel Craig topped our poll of Britain’s coolest celebrities and thanks to our Del Monte lolly replica he is officially immortalised as super smooth and licensed to chill.”
The Daniel Craig lollies were commissioned by Del Monte to launch the new Del Monte Superfruit Smoothie, a refreshing blend of blueberries, pomegranate and cranberries, and are part of the Del Monte range of guilt-free iced refreshment which contain the finest fruits and juices”
(No connection to Eon/Daniel)
@Private: Yep, that’s true. Hugh Jackman is very popular and beloved in USA. Craig not that much. It’s more than sure people will go to that play mostly for Jackman. And I’ll be one of them, of course!
to #@re ; lollies: to #387…DC not very popular? Are you living in Idaho? or somewhere in a yurt–in Iceland?(I take that back-you still could probly get netfliks there—typo police bite that!). I disagree DC is not as popular as Gargantuan hot man! I didn’t really see Garganutan man until he started getting assinine reviews for the chick flick with the other aussie. nice. And I am “entertainment aware”. so poop on that! I will go to see the man from Layer cake-with a contrived chicago cop accent!!
to #383===so you dont have to put your name down here….do i know you and i could NEVER lose my sense of humor. Harsh as it is, you must “get it”. It releases good hormones to laugh! And really, Dan has to be laughing at the jolly-lolly he posed for! And be really mad!! It will be forgotten in the main stream if it got there, but brought up in some stupid interviewer mind–I give him permission to walk out on that interview-unprofessional. ~guinness said it here!
That is the most beautiful thing i’ve ever seen!
love Hugh but Daniel is cool too. Already planning a trip to NYC in October so tickets would be icing on the cake..er i mean BEEFcake!
I love both Craig and Jackman. In my honest opinion, Craig is the better actor, but they are both very very talented.
I find Hugh to be hotter but Craig is too<3 There’s just something about him.
Hugh has a better personality and he’s always smiling which makes me look more attractive.
But overall, they’re both great.
