Jon & Kate: $10 Million Divorce?

if they don’t cancel this show, there will be a lot of people ending up divorced because kate is setting a bad example…she actually makes me blood boil.
the producers of this show…tlc definitely know that this is morallly and ethically wrong since they pride themselves on being tender loving caring….this not a love show,,,,this is a hate show….the fact that she gets people’s blood boiling is an indication of how hostile she is as a human being and how that hostility is transmitted to the population and poisoning it.

for tlc to do this is unacceptable. marriage counselors and phds with a special interest in marriage communication already know the damage she is doing singlehandedly not just to herself but to her kids future…its called emotional contagion and i want it off!!!!!

Television is no place to air out your family “laundry.” These two need to get off tv and work through their issues (whether or not they stay married) without millions of people watching. The sad thing is, the kids are the ones who will be affected.

You can’t believe any “news” from the National Enquirer. Sadly though, many people believe everything they hear or read.

Some posters here are beyond mean and rude. To come on here and criticize people (even children) you don’t even know is pathetic.

If I only knew where to send all my money to help out this beautiful family. It is so sad what is being done to them. There are no innernets and no phone books at the shelter cause everyone here uses the paper up if you know what I mean,it’s softer than what they give us. They are beautiful humble people and deserve much better so I’d like to give them what I have, the new shopping cart can wait till another day for me. The cruelty of others can be so hurtful sometimes like when I’m arrested for trying to sit near a warm vent.. I can Idendify with their suffering. I hope they can hold out just a little longer.

I’m sorry but Kate can do MUCH better than Jon. He looks DISGUSTING! He looks so feminine and just plain weird in the face. The 23 yr old he slept with looked like a DOG! She was maybe a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. Just plain NASTY! GO KATE and get you someone as good looking as you are…let Jon stay with the likes of people like him…GROSS!

i used to love the show…now it’s so obvious it’s all about jon & kate and the money - not the 8, there’s no desire to watch it. it’s a damn shame what fame does….

OK - can any government body step in and make sure $1 million is set aside in trust for EACH KID - then let Jon and Kate wrangle over the remaining $2 million.

It’s funny, even when it’s the woman with the dough, the guy will still get screwed and have to pay.

In a perfect world, the amount they have made so far would be split equally between the parents and the children (the childrens money should be put in a trust fund not to be touched by anyone but them at 18). Because Kate will automatically get custody of the children, Jon will have to pay child support. But because Kate and the kids are the primary breadwinners, the spousal support for Jon should cancel out the child support. Meaning no one pays anyone.

In the end, because it’s not a perfect world, Kate will get custody of the children as well as 90% of the current fortune. The only money that Jon will get is Kate buying out his half of the house. No spousal support will be awarded to Jon because he just recently “stopped working” (though the show is work makes it an interesting case). And he will be ordered to pay child support even though Kate will have all the money and the moneymakers. Everyone will say he has to support his children no matter what…even if he makes 50k a year and she makes millions…pathetic.

Please go back a few months! Jon did not quit his job, he was FIRED.
Rather than do some work on th job, he was soliciting for freebies for his kids. He got caught. To add further fuel, Kate said he was fired because his employer would not pay for their health insurance.

Let’s also keep in mind all the freebie vacations, toys, clothes, food-organic of course, Chef Emeril and a multitude of other things for which she has prostituted herself and family.

I feel so sorry for these kids being pimped by their two PD riddled bio-parents. The nurturing comes from other hired sources. Face it, at their ages, the values, personalities and coping mechanisms they’ve developed to deal with these 2 selfish units are pretty much set. Big trouble ahead, especially for the twins. Wasn’t there a group of sextuplets in the 1950’s exploited in the same way who all endded up imploding as adults. Now they’ll play Divorce on the show, and Kate will get everything and still it won’t be enough because nothing ever is for people like her, and he’ll go off and fulfill his destiny as a lazy barkeep by night, hungover surferdude by day. The children are just a means to an end for them.

That is why I don’t understand why anyone would pay for their family photo. But, they must be making money off their pictures if there are people out there buying them- I still don’t understand it-
