Ellen Pompeo is Big on Basketball

Ellen Pompeo and her husband Chris Ivery cheer on the LA Lakers at Game Five of the Western Conference Finals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at Staples Center on Wednesday (May 27) in Los Angeles, Calif.

The 39-year-old pregnant actress’ co-star, Patrick Dempsey, has taken himself down a notch from the lead actor category to a supporting actor in the Emmy race. Pompeo however, remains in the lead actor category.

Also, multiple sources tell E! that T.R. Knight will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy next season. Knight was said to have become increasingly frustrated by his character’s lack of storyline and camera face time.
