This whole thread is wrong! Who cares about circumcision. My two boys are both circumcized and it was never a problem. This baby should be clothed with all those predators around the web.

Wow a lot of crazy comments but to clear things up I am a doctor and I got circumsized as an adult due to my foreskin not retracting, I won’t go into the infection details. But it was he best thing I could have done for myself. Being Mexican it was not the cultural norm but it should be required. Circumcision lowers std and HIV rate by 70% and those are the facts all else is crazy anti-circumcision propaganda. Save lives and circumsize your newborns. If the world circumsized their boys then in a generation HIV would be cut 70%, millions and millions of lives saved. drgarcia, the vast majority of adult American males are circumcised yet the United States has a higher per capita HIV infection rate than all of Western Europe, Canada, MEXICO, Australia, Japan…. just about every other country outside of Africa.
Explain that.
Read the history of circumcision. Aside from the obvious religious ritual, it was thought as a way to keep little boys from masturbating. When that didn’t work, American doctors just kept inventing new excuses. STDs/HIV are just the latest. Wrap it up or better yet, practice monogamy with a trusted partner and you’ll have much better protection than any blood ritual.
In America, circumcision is being reduced to people with a religious mandate and dumb hicks. Guess which category these guys fall into.

In Europe mostly only jews and muslims are circumcised. It wouldn’t even cross our minds to do such a thing unless you belong to those 2 religions.
Anyway, I believe there is a good reason for boys being born with their body just the way it is. I am against any ritual or medical belief that involves modifying your body.
Come on people. Well known parents the world over get paid to show off their children, just because these two are young and still unwed doesn’t make them the exception. The Jolie-Pitts, amongst others, get paid millions upon millions for the same darn thing. Yes, I know they “give all to charity”, but the wouldn’t if they already didn’t have a combined net worth of 300 million. Yes, they’re young and yes, just like every other parent they’ll make mistakes. I think they’re doing the best they can. I have the upmost respect for their decision to follow through with the consequences of previous choices. Regardless of what the law says, every woman has a choice…and that choice comes BEFORE she gets pregnant.

I firmly agree with the few on here who’ve posted that there is nothing wrong with a baby au naturale. This is how babies come out of the uterus…their natural state.

Also the part about you being a doctor - yeah right. If circumcision is so great then why do NO medical organizations support routine infant circumcision? Hmmm? Got a link to answer that one? The majority of the world is not circumcised and they are doing just fine.
