Adam Lambert Is Gay, Says Kara DioGuardi
American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is openly gay, says Idol judge Kara DioGuardi.
“I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet],” she says in a taped interview airing Friday on The View. “I think he was always openly out. I never thought he wasn’t.”
When asked by Barbara Walters whether Adam’s perceived sexuality may have swayed voters, Kara said, “Well, first of all, I hope not … because we should be judging on talent and viability in the music industry and they both [Adam and winner Kris Allen] had that.”

1 i don’t think that it matters that adam is gay he has a really good voice and thats what matters in the music world and kara is not gay but she took it 2 far with the bikini 2 just cuz adam is gay dosn’t meen we have to dislike him i bet u we all no at least 1 person in our every day lives who r gay !!!

I kinda liked Kara in the beginning, but everyday she proves to the world what a sad little person she is….
I mean, is it of her business to talk about Adam’s life?? In my opinion she was just trying to take the focus of the probable next question about the single that she wrote for the winner of American Idol!! Seriously guys, do you see Randy, Simon or Paula talking about any of the contestants private lifes?? Or did anyone ever saw Paula trying to prove that she can sing and be as hot as “bikini girl” by showing semi naked in the finale, with the excuse of “charity”??
As i said: Kara’s a sad, sad person. I feel sorry for her!
Kara is one of my favorite judges on American idol. Her advice, the majority of the time, is right on the money. Not to mention, she’s been in the industry for years, so she knows what she’s talking about.
However, I don’t understand why she is speaking out about this. It really isn’t anybody’s business, but Adam’s.
Besides that, it really doesn’t matter if he’s gay. His voice is incredible and his music is insanely amazing.

….and grass is green. Adam will have a great career as a cabaret singer or on broadway. His brand of talent does not have mass appeal (loser of AI). He coyness is also irritating and done for the sole purpose of giving hope to the grannies who are in lust with him.
DUH!! Didn’t Perez Hilton out Adam a few weeks ago when he showed Adam and his “boy? Yes ,he did!!
i totally agree with sillyme @ 05/29/2009 at 11:36 am, it is sad that this country still has double standards, when clearly men and women will and always will be equal at least seen as from an intelligent person.
Adam - a great talent - a forceful presence - a beautiful soul and a handsome face. What difference does it make who he chooses to share his life with. He has brought joy to many of us who watched and listened to him every week; and, wished we could be as at ease with our own lives as he appeared to be. I personally wish him well in his future endeavors and will be there in line waiting to buy his first CD. Way to go, Adam - enjoy your life!

or maybe he won’t come out at all. because for some of us gay folks being gay ain’t something we feel the need to proclaim from the mountain top. it’s one part of our lives. it’s not the end all and be all of who we are. that we don’t walk around yelling “I”m gay, I’m gay, I’m gay” all over, wearing pins and t-shirts saying “I’m gay” etc doesn’t mean we are ashamed of it. we would just rather be judged by the quality of our character as a whole,not on our gayness

EVERYONE LAY OFF ADAM.. IF HE WANTS TO SAY HES GAY OR NOT..its about talent not about if hes gay. STOP saying he’s gay because we dont know for sure yet! Hes a rocker and he dresses that way because hes a ROCKSTAR!! When the rolling stones issue comes out next week he will revile if hes gay or not
I am just getting over the disappointment that Adam was robbed of the American Idol title. Just ridiculous that any of the other lesser beings should get it. Kris should simply hand the trophy to Adam its rightful owner. Same in the UK Susan Boyle robbed of the title to a bunch of robot bores.
Adam has to be gay. If he isn’t, then what is he?
Puh-leez! American Idol is nothing but a stupid popularity contest. Talent doesn’t even factor into it.
