Jude Law Hones His Hamlet

Jude Law signs some autographs as he leaves Wyndham’s Theatre, after performing in a new production of “Hamlet” on Thursday (May 28).

The 36-year-old actor will perform in the sold-out production, which will officially open June 3 and play through Aug. 22. “A couple of thoughts spring to mind about the meaning of the play. One is that one must suffer in order to gain wisdom, the second that life is a journey, and it is the journey itself that matters, not arriving at your destination,” Jude said in an interview with the Telegraph.

“Hamlet is a bit like a great song that’s been covered by a load of different singers. It’s like Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Joni Mitchell all covering the same song. But they would each bring a different sound and color to it,” he said.

I was lucky enough to see him tonight and he really was awesome. Didn’t expect him to get there as it’s an incredibly difficult role but he did! Pure genius!

Wow, i have a long wait until the end of July but by then he will have made that role a part of him! No critics yet, but the people who have seen it are exctatic. never underestimate the power of good word of mouth - it has on occasion drowned out everything the critics can say.
Is that swishing noise I hear critics turning the pages looking for more
superlatives? BRAVO JUDE! You are my hero!

on the imdb jude law site one of our ladies saw the show and said he was beyond amazing. she went to the stage door, took photos which are on flickr…he was so sweet and thanked her for coming…she didn’t have a pen so he gave her his…..she couldn’t get over his face….sculpted….beautiful. we thank her for her valuable input.

jude was selected to be on a t.v.show featuring youngsters reviewing films. he was around 11…now this a video showing jude leaving the theatre after hamlet and signing autographs….hope it works.

maybe if you go to you tube. i have that video for so many years….jude, even as a child was brilliant. what alot of people don’t know about him is that he is extremely bright. his parents were both teachers ad intoduced him to the arts very early on. if you listen to jude law on interviews he is amazingly articulate. his vocabulary is vast…go to you tube and daily motion and search jude law…you’ll be delighted. he’s not your every day joe. you don’t see a jude law often….so said the french director jean jaques annaud when he first spotted jude…

i am delighted that you felt jude’s performance was so great. ‘tho it doesn’t surprise me. he is a great actor. sometimes his physical beauty detracts from his actual talent as an actor. people are so busy oohing and aahing over his looks they don’t take into account the depth of his performances….thanks again.

Guys, I’m about to faint from over excitement for you all who will see Jude in Hamlet! I hope everything is going perfectly well so you all can see him up close, hug him and who knows share some lovely few words if that’s possible like our ardent fan from IMDb :D. Everything you’re trying so hard to get from this unforgetable experience making it the memorable one and that you deserves for so loong of anxious waiting! I’m rooting for you my babies and for Jude, of course!
