#150 - why do I get the feeling that saying he’s wearing an ugly hat would equate to making assumptions about the man and spewing hatred? There seems like a lot of overreacting here by his fans. It’s interesting they don’t get as defensive or angry over what is said about women he’s been photographed with.
I don’t think he’s good looking. I don’t think he’s a good actor. I don’t see what all the fuss is about over him. Those aren’t making assumptions or spewing hate. They are opinions. Hate is a very strong word. Racists hate people. To say you don’t like some actor doesn’t automatically count as hate.
Maybe if some here knew the difference, there wouldn’t be such extremes on either side. To react so defensively to opinions you don’t share is being unreasonable, or just plain crazy.

I’m not talking about the disagreeing with his hat or his life style. That’s a given. What I’m talking about is when it gets personal between those that disagree to the point where it becomes a battle of trading insults between the disagreeing parties. If the people who come here to admire his pictures aren’t hurting anyone, but possible themselves, what is it called if not hate to make fun of them and call them names? Friendly fire? You can say it’s just disagreeing with them, but it’s plain old mean and spiteful to me. Isn’t there enough pain and suffering in this world without people who clearly dislike the man coming here and making everyone miserable just for the entertainment value of it? I don’t hate anyone. I’m merely amazed at the dissension I found when I came here to check out a link someone gave me and started reading the comments.
to the die hard phan-gurls:
We have no life.

#152, how fascinating that you only mention the alleged haters being the problem. You don’t have one complaint about the worshippers going nuts on the alleged haters just for saying “Ugly hat” or “He should shave.” Most of what I see comes from their higher than thou need to tell everyone what they should say which amounts to glowing worshipy compliments.
What do you expect people to do when they’re attacked for their opinion? Of course they’re going to defend themselves when someone makes statements about hateful they are and that they should go away, yada yada yada. What right do they have to tell people what to think or say?
You seem rather biased in your finger waving. At least that’s how it comes off.
If you’re all that thin skinned, life must be pretty d*mn hard.
He is such a beautiful beautiful man!!
