Brad Pitt Wins Guys Choice Award
Costars Brad Pitt and Edward Norton and director David Fincher are honored with the Discretionary Guy Movie Hall of Fame award for 1999’s Fight Club at Spike TV’s 2009 “Guys Choice” Awards held at LA’s Sony Studios on Saturday (May 30).
The Office star Rainn Wilson jokingly tweeted at the show, “Saw Brad Pitt. I would totally do him.”
Fincher also directed Brad in 1995’s Se7en and 2008’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Angelina Jolie picked up the award for hottest Femme Fatale but did not attend the show with Brad.

Looks like Brad Pitt has found a new celeb to heckle: Mel Gibson.
The actor poked fun at Gibson’s 2006 DUI arrest at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards Saturday in L.A.
Just before the show began, Pitt entered the room and sat in a booth off to the side of the stage with Fight Club costar Ed Norton and the film’s director David Fincher.
Gibson opened the show riding in on a horse and wearing a Viking helmet. He then introduced Fight Club, which was inducted into the Guy Hall of Fame.
“Thanks, sugar t***!” Pitt told Gibson as he accepted the award. (When he was arrested for DUI, Gibson reportedly called a female police officer “sugar t***.”)
Pitt, Norton and Fincher then read all of the bad reviews of Fight Club and cheered at each criticism.
After plugging his upcoming movie, the intentionally misspelled Inglourious ********, Pitt told the crowd, “Thank you for the greatest moment of my f****** life!” He stayed on stage for a few more seconds, pumping his fists above his head and egging the audience on to scream.

All of this promotion for the Fight Club makes me want to rent it now and watch it. I have to admit that I never saw it before (((hangs head in shame))) because I hate blood and violence (whether in movies or real life). We’ve learned the oldest daughter of Billy Bob Thornton has been charged with child neglect in the death of a 1-year-old she was babysitting.
Amanda Brumfield told cops he child died in October after falling from her playpen, but a spokesman for the Ocoee Police Department said Amanda Brumfield’s story didn’t add up.
An autopsy determined the child suffered a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma due to blunt trauma.
Police said Brumfield, 29, did not call for help for two and a half hours.
Brumfield is Thornton’s child with his first wife, Melissa Gatlin.

I hope she gets a really good lawyer. Prosecutors love to mischaraterize these incidents all the time. I don’t know what happened here but children do have accidents and accidents can cause blunt trauma. As we all know bumps on the head may not be recognized as serious until it’s too late.

As for what she is alleged to have said, I’ll reserve judgment until we actually know if she did say that and in what context she said it. Prosecutors love to put words in peoples’ mouths and “suggest” what might have happened and before you know it those words have become your own. As for the police timeline, we’ll see what the evidence shows on that as well. She probably unthinkingly estimated some time and they took it and ran with it.

Gibson opened the show riding in on a horse and wearing a Viking helmet. He then introduced Fight Club, which was inducted into the Guy Hall of Fame.
