LICENSE TO CHILL
007 Daniel Craig’s sculpted torso is Del Monte Foods’ inspiration for their new “licence to chill” ice pop.
Del Monte Superfruit Smoothies said artists “worked tirelessly” to recreate a shirtless sculpture of 41-year-old Craig in the scene where he emerges from the sea in Casino Royale, the twenty-first film in the James Bond series.
WOULD YOU buy a Daniel Craig ice pop to snack on??

Fondling himself. That’s what it looks like. They should have put his hands behind his back or something. Not well thought out. I can’t see him having given approval for this, given how much he hates hearing about that shot. What should have been sexy, well…isn’t. I agree with whoever said it was creepy. He has a stick up his behinny, for goodness sake. At least, it’s chocolate, I hope.

The picture of Daniel Craig is great eye candy…nicely balanced and not too thin. The lollipop made me laugh and cringe. I say take it for what it is. We could use some levity in the world right now.
This does not look appetizing, it looks creepy and weird. Pass. He must be so embarrassed.
If they HAD made it look more like him so it wasn’t so weird, maybe it woudl have been FAR too sexy, so maybe they DID make it just right. those flavors sound gross.

i wonder if this is one of satsuki’s bright and intelligent ideas to promote him. if t works she gets the credit. if it fails daniel and his people can deny any involvement.

The licensing laws must be different over in the UK bec over here, in the states, Daniel could open up a can of WhoopA*s and sue the heck out of Del Monte if they used his likeness and image without his consent.
I suppose the laws are 180 degree opposite over in the UK…
If this ice pop was over here in the US….I think Daniel would HAVE to agree to it, and maybe even Sony/Eon bec the Character James Bond is being used for Commercial purposes to make money and the product is in Daniel Craig’s likeness and image.
MAybe that is why Del Monte is only doing it over in the UK…so they don’t have to pay Daniel or Eon/Sony.
This product has nothing to do with him, it was commissioned by Del Monte and is not an official Bond product.
Secondly, why the heck would Daniel need promoting as an ice lolly?
I cannot believe the makers of this ice pop have the Chutzpah and raw nerve to put a shadow image of his di*k on the ice pop.
That takes REAL BAL*S!!!
Now this Daiel Craig Ice Pop and all the commentary on it and the details and shape of it, and the little lumps and bumps in all the strategic places…that is REALLY going to set Daniel off in a whole new meaning of ‘hot temper’ !
The ice lollies are already shipped so any disclosure that these are not affiliated with him or EoN etc cannot be put on there. I know that the words James Bond or 007 are not on there so that speaks volumes.
His face is public domain so his likeness can be used.
I am sure that Del Monte will issue a statement saying that the lollies are not. If I was part of his Daniel’s management, I would demand that this be done very soon.
As for that, Del Monte will put it down to a “flaw in the mold” of the lolly.
They knew what they were doing. I am 100% certain that Daniel is mortified by this.
i can only imagine how ella feels looking at this..my god, daniel must not be the only mortified one..
i do hope her schoolmates dont buy any and tease her…

He is probably going ballistic right now!
I think that Daniel has gone under so much upset and humiliation and criticism when he was cast as Bond, and the DC haters and such, all the horrrible webistes…then he proved himself as Bond, and NOW he has to go through this.
I am really pulling for him to get through this week as best as possible, his public image and his personal self esteem remaining solid and intact.
I am also surprised that Daniel Craig is considered ‘public domain” over in the UK. He certainly would not be here.
