OlderJeffrey Hornaday To Direct High School Musical 4
Jeffrey Hornaday will helm High School Musical East Meets West, the fourth movie in the franchise (he’s replacing Kenny Ortega, who directed the first three).
Said Hornaday, “I’m excited to be part of a franchise that, thematically, encourages kids to believe in themselves. Like the first three movies, my goal is to keep the art form of the traditional musical alive, yet bring a contemporary emotional response to the story and its characters through song and dance.”
Hornaday choroeographed for Flashdance and A Chorus Line and directed Madonna and Backstreet Boys world concert tours.
In High School Musical 4, East meets West in a classic love triangle set against the cross-town school rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights.

HSM4 is going to suck. It has none of the original cast and won’t even have Kenny directing. I’m not going to see it.
i love hsm and have seen all 3, however, i will most definitley NOT be going to see this. no kenny. no zac, vanessa, or ashley, no me. it sounds so stupid. just start a new franchise already. shm had it’s run and they ended it great with hsm3.
I don’t know whether I will watch this or not, I will have to wait and see the trailer, it depends on what it looks like, but as if Kenny is not directing!!! maybe he said no because he was used to working with Zac, Vanessa, Ashley and co.

LOVE THE ORIGINAL HSM 1,2 & 3
High school musical 1-3 were amazing and I really do hate the fact that its over but Senior Year was without a doubt the perfect ending to an amazing trilogy. The original actors made the movie like John Travolta made grease, and without the characters we’ve grown to cherish and love, it won’t be the same. I know the HSM franchise is a wonderful money making machine for disney but to go ahead with this next installment would be both a travesty and a disgrace to the entire franchise.
P.S.- in ten years, it’d be kick ass to have one of those class reunions like you have ten years after you graduate. Hell, that might even make an ok movie to see how things turned out for our favorite characters, just an idea is all…
Can these movies just end?
