OlderJeffrey Hornaday To Direct High School Musical 4
Jeffrey Hornaday will helm High School Musical East Meets West, the fourth movie in the franchise (he’s replacing Kenny Ortega, who directed the first three).
Said Hornaday, “I’m excited to be part of a franchise that, thematically, encourages kids to believe in themselves. Like the first three movies, my goal is to keep the art form of the traditional musical alive, yet bring a contemporary emotional response to the story and its characters through song and dance.”
Hornaday choroeographed for Flashdance and A Chorus Line and directed Madonna and Backstreet Boys world concert tours.
In High School Musical 4, East meets West in a classic love triangle set against the cross-town school rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights.

no offense… but HSM4 is just plain stupid.
i believe that HSM3 made the perfect ending to the story. anymore movies and it will destroy the very thing that the first movies made, and it will be overkill. it just like the books i read, at the very end, i want there to be more, and ill even come up with more. but unfortanity, it doesnt change the fact that the story is done. there is nothing left to really make. we just have to let it go.

Looking forward to it. Hope the music is better as in HSM 1 and 2. The Disney range is geared towards young and middle teenagers; Zac and Vanessa are now too old for this market to some degree. Was walking through a food store and noticed that on the covers of various teen mags, there was no more Zac and Vanessa; that was quick.
We thank Zac and Vanessa for their work and wish them well in the future and with their other projects. If their agents were smart, they would keep the same cast and roll into College Musical 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc….
I still watch HSM 1 once a year as it is a very spiritual and uplifting movie.
I don’t like the story east meets west i like the story collage years i is a love story like the others and we should bring all the casts and act it out without the casts i is just a waste countinue making more hsm’s
