OlderMiranda Kerr Covers Rolling Stone
Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr appears nude and chained to a tree for the latest Australia cover of Rolling Stone’s Green Issue.
The 26-year-old girlfriend of Orlando Bloom wants to shine a light on the Koala Foundation’s “No Tree, No Me” campaign.
“It’s a sad thing. There are only about 100,000 koalas left in Australia,” she tells the mag. “Something like 80 percent of the koalas’ habitat has been destroyed since Europeans arrived in Australia.”
As for making the cover of RS, Miranda says, “Oh it’s incredible. It’s really surreal to be on the cover. Rolling Stone is such an iconic magazine. You know that song, (sings) ‘On the cover of the Rolling Stone’ – that’s just so cool and I’m really happy to be involved in this!”

it is a SAD SAD World we live in where people have to be, as you put it, ’sweetie’, SHOCKED into caring about things such as the Environment or Animals becoming extinct, etc….
Orlando’s cousin just made a very heroic and dangerous treck to the North Pole and back, to help bring awareness to what is happening to the Environment.
Orlando’s cousin has been involved with helping the environment long before Orlando ever became famous.
Orlando got involved in helping the environment because he was inspired by his cousin, not the other way around.
I trust Sebastian’s intentions far more than Miranda’s.

I am just glad there are people like Sebastian Copeland out there who are able to use their talents instead of their looks to bring people’s attention to the important issues that face this planet.

Actually, what Sebastian did isn’t all that different than what Miranda did when you get right down to it. Of course, their situations are WORLDS apart, and I have admired Sebastian for years (you aren’t the only one who knows about him), but what he did was EXTREME! He got people’s attention with his mission to the North Pole. He got people talking, and more people are now aware of the situation than before, thanks to him. But to use your argument, why should he have risked his life? Aren’t there other ways to get the point across? How would his family have felt if he didn’t make it back? Why do something that extreme….
If someone does something that grabs people’s attention, their message spreads farther than any other way. Sebastian, being an adventurer, trekked to the North Pole. Miranda, being a beautiful model, posed for a magazine. What they did is vastly different, but the ‘why’ behind it is pretty much the same. They both got people talking about their causes. That was their aim, and they accomplished that.
And as for constantly mentioning Bloom? Well, the articles with Sebastian that DON’T mention that he is Orlando’s cousin are few and far between. Orlando has even made appearances to help promote his photography, and his fundraising. He even included pics of Orlando in his book, and on his website. Not so different, hmmm?
She looks beautiful and good for her that she is using her profile to bring awareness to the plight of Koalas………The negative comments are from the same Delphi loonies posting over and over……though it’s rather lame that they don’t realize that we know it’s them……lol.
Why only for poor koalas? Why not for the peace in the world? Or for the Mount Everest climbers? Totally unnecessary because we all know that she is just trying to find higher reason to be naked on the cover of the magazine. What is going on? Dating Bloom is no more bringing enough attention. Even with engagement show and play with the ring and one day visit to Cannes. Naked on the cover, all photoshopped ( face, nose, hair ) is one step before stolen sex tape . Be patient, it is coming soon. BTW, I hope she did this cover for free and donate money for the koala foundation.
Celebrities do this stuff, get naked against use of fur, donations for Katrina, charity work against world famine, etc. Specific things. Peace in the world is kind of too big concept and too big fight for just one person, no? So people fight for one of the many problems in the world each time, in a realistic way. It’s normal for her to fight for an endangered species of her country and I’m sure she gave all the money to that cause otherwise the “No Tree, No Me” foundation would publicly complain for using its name and not helping it.
I think it’s fine you don’t like her but complaining when she does something for a good cause is a little bit excessive.
P.S. NO celebrity appears on the cover of a magazine without being totally photoshopped.

The difference is that Sebastian was doing work like this long before Orlando was famous. He was not using Orlando’s fame to get his books recognized. Even if Orlando had never become famous, he still would have created those books, and gone off on those adventures.
Orlando is the one who is inspired by him. Sebastian was letting his cousin share in his experiences, because Orlando wanted to.
Yes what Sebastian did was extreme. However the extreme part was not something that would make people want to label him as a S.L.U.T.

People who Sincerely care about the environment, Do Not Care for those who bring the wrong type of publicity to their cause. All I’m saying is that she did not have to be naked. Unless that is her only talent.
Maybe the reason why is that those Engagement rumors are just that, rumors. Just because no one has come out and officially said anything one way or another, does not make it automatically true.
Rumors of this sort have been started about many couples, and never addressed, with nothing happening in the end.

On the Miss universe contest all participants are always talking about how they are going to fight for the peace in the world - with their long legs, naked asses and boobs. And we all laugh on that- we know they want to be popular and rich and famous for themselves. But no one ever said the truth. Peace in the world and hungry children instead of their true reasons why they are there. Sorry, but I think this is the same case. Not only for Miranda. A lot of so called celebrities are always promoting themselves besides what you call “good cause”. It is their job to promote themselves and they are finding “good causes” for self promotion. Ladies on the cover of Playboy and magazines like Playboy are not trying to hide behind “good causes”. They are good looking, photoshopped or not, they are selling their photos for fame and money and that’s it. No koalas, no peace in the world. What would you say ( and VS, and DJ, and shippers, and OB family etc) if Miranda appears naked on the cover of some magazine without a “good cause”?

She flied there on the 17th, the promo for Main Street was taken on the 17th, the party was on sunday night, the 18th, on the 19th they were on a yacht and on the 20th she went back to NY.

Since that time 80% of the Koala habitat has been destroyed, there were millions of Koalas and now there is only 100,000 left.
I think it’s very clever of the Koala Foundation to enlist Miranda’s help
in bringing attention to the plight of Koalas……Miranda chained to a tree is a very effective way to highlight their slogan, No tree, No me.
So using your argument, Miranda isn’t FORCING Orlando to do anything, either.
And I’m sure that Orlando would have “wanted to share the experience”, even if he wasn’t famous. But would Sebastian have used his pictures in the book, or used Orlando to help promote his photographs if he WASN’T famous. NO!

Orlando is more famous, but not as controversial. Most posts on his threads are the “he’s gorgeous”, “he’s ugly” type.
It follows a pattern. Leo alone will not get that many hits. But leo and Bar will get a ton. Bar, by herself, will get almost as many hits as they do together, because the arguments just carry over. Leo is more famous, but he won’t get as many posts.
