Brad Pitt is Billy Beane
Brad Pitt gets down to business at Smashbox Studios in Hollywood and then hops on a private jet at Burbank Airport on Tuesday (June 2) in Calif.
The 45-year-old actor is set to star in Moneyball, which begins shooting on June 11. The flick centers on the major-league’s Oakland A’s and their general manager Billy Beane (Pitt) who attempts to draft players to the team using computer-generated analysis.
As producer Michael DeLuca tells LA Times, “If you try to think of a movie star who could embody someone like Beane – a former athlete who’s an incredibly physical specimen with movie good looks — you pretty much get to Brad Pitt right away.”

Angelina Jolie named by Forbes as the most powerful celebrity in the world
Angelina Jolie topped the list because of her omnipresence in the tabloids and magazines
Angelina Jolie has been named the most powerful celebrity in the world, forcing Oprah Winfrey off the top spot and into second.
Women took the top four places on the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 Power List, with pop stars Madonna and Beyonce coming close behind Jolie and Winfrey.
In a mixed year for Britons, Coldplay led the UK charge, coming in at number 15 thanks to the success of their Viva la Vida album. There was, however, no room for chef Gordon Ramsay and Harry Potter writer JK Rowling, both of whom dropped off the list.
The Forbes list is compiled using a mix of annual earnings and media visibility to determine the rankings.
Winfrey was named top earner, taking home $275m (£168 million).
But she was beaten to the top by Jolie who, despite earning less than a tenth of Oprah’s wage, was named most powerful celebrity due to her near omnipresence in the pages of tabloids and celebrity magazines.
The top place male, US golfer Tiger Woods, came in fifth.
Commenting on the list, Lacey Rose, senior reporter at Forbes, said: “It really was the year of the woman. What we see at the top of the list is tabloid-targeted people who command a big attraction through their artistic work and at the news stands.”
JK Rowling dropped off the list despite being the highest earner on last year’s list. The lack of a Harry Potter book over the period led to a lower profile for the writer.
Despite picking up an Oscar there was also no room for Kate Winslet, but other Britons were deemed to have enough clout to make the list.
Actor Hugh Laurie, the star of the US medical drama House, made his first ever appearance at 94.
Meanwhile, the continued success of Pop Idol, X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent ensured that Simon Cowell took 25th place, with his earnings for the year estimated at £46m ($75m).
Elsewhere, the list included its first sitting head of state. President Barack Obama, on the back of an historic election win and continued sales of his two books, entered the index at 49.

Just wanted to say that I was right! I remember the argument I had with several posters. I said BHO is a Christian with Muslim roots.
Now that he has to make a speech in Cairo, I hear he might take advantage of his Muslim roots. Why? Probably to win hearts.
In his book he called his father an agnostic. During the campaign his people did their best to keep away from any religion talk.
Now that he has won, the WH has done a 180. Now they talk about his unique past. His father was Muslim, his grandfather was Muslim, his brother is Muslim, and he himself became a Christian in his thirties. Does it matter? Not at all. Just wanted to say that I was right!

The fact is he is a christian now. His mother was a christian , his dad was a muslim. Big deal. He said at the Notre dame speach that it was his work with local churches helping the poor that convinced him to become a christian a long time ago.

I just heard on TV that his mother was a nonbeliever. Not that any of all that matters to me.
I was just thinking back to the time other posters bashed me for saying what turns out to be true, and what he obviously now hopes will win him friendship in Cairo.

Stepping out of her teeny-bopper image would be easy for High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens if the right parts came along. Lucky for her, she’s been getting offers she can’t refuse. The starlet already has an upcoming action flick called Sucker Punch, and she couldn’t help but describe it as her ultimate Angelina Jolie role.

Vanessa Hudgens told E! News that she was all ready to work on Sucker Punch, which will begin filming when she finishes the romantic retelling Beastly. Unable to contain her excitement, she compared her character to Lara Croft in Tomb Raider.

“I’m so stoked about it,” the actress told E! “I kept telling everyone, ‘I want to do an action film.’ But they were like, ‘Maybe in a few years.’ So I’m like, ‘Ha, in your face. I am doing one now!”
.
She also discussed her career with the magazine InStyle UK, in addition to appearing on its July 2009 cover, Hudgens said that despite all the difficulties of being in the entertainment industry, she wouldn’t trade anything for it.

“All the rejection is tough and discouraging,” she revealed. “It’s so dog-eat-dog, and who would want to subject their girl to that world? But it was just something that I loved so much. Man, I can’t imagine myself away from the business.”

Hudgens even reiterated her Jolie-metaphor for the magazine. On being cast for Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch, she said: “It’s totally my Angelina Jolie part. People are either going to love me for doing it or hate me for doing it, but I’m very excited.”

They are sick of people saying bad things about Angelina and think it’s time people moved away from the whole Angelina vs Jennifer Aniston debate.

Angelina’s spokesperson has just had to confirm that Angelina and Brad are not splitting up as reports suggest.

We have lost count of the times they have had to defend their relationship. People are forever saying Brad is meeting up with Jen in secret, Angelina controls Brad and that they don’t love each other anymore.

Angelina Super fan SARAH OLIVER told MyParkmag: “Angelina is a fantastic actress and people should talk about the great films she has been in.

“She is a stunning woman and I think people are just jealous. She has a good looking man and a beautiful family.”

I just checked out TCCOBB, and absolutly loved it, too bad Brad didn’t get the Oscar for that one. However, I heard that Shiloh had a bit part as baby Caroline in the flick, is this true? How old was she @ the time? She wasn’t the newborn, surely, but was that her @ the year old birthday party? Looking forward to “Moneyball”!

Let us put things in proper perspective. Whether you like Angelina Jolie or not, it doesn’t matter. What matters most is the content of the article.

The article is trying to let the people understand and be concerned about, something what is of great importance than the trivial list of so & so or whatever in which a lot of people would rather debate who’s no.1,2,3…..just for entertainment purpose and ego boosting, and for all we know, the people on the list seemed not to care at all.

The messenger just happens to be Angelina Jolie who wrote that piece to get the message across in her own capacity or own little way. She is just doing her part as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, as a member of Council on Foreign Relations and most of all as a citizen of the world.

Her writing the piece certainly caught our attention, whether we admit it or not.
WHO CARE THAT AJ MADE IT TO THE TOP OF FORBES LIST! SHE IS STILL A HOMEWRECKER, AND DISLIKED BY MOST SANE PEOPLE. IT IS OBVIOUS SHE IS A MEDIA WH… AND HAS USED HER RELATIONSHIP WITH BRAD TO HER OWN BENEFIT. BEFORE BRAD NO ONE CARE ABOUT THIS CRAZY GIRL.
I think with the things AJ is doing internationally for her world-related causes, AJ deserves a much meaningful or important title. Let me see, since there’s such a thing as “America’s Sweetheart”, how about “WORLD’s Sweetheart” for AJ. Nah, I don’t think AJ would like that. I don’t like the sound of it either, that “SWEETHEART” thing. It connotes some like of a curse. I don’t know but it just doesn’t fit her. Even if for instance a certain title with a “sweetheart” suits her, I don’t like it to be associated to AJ. Besides, AJ is not the kind of a person to be fully concerned of titles attached to her name. She will just be content to be called Angelina Jolie or Angie. She is not shallow to be needing some titles. She is much concerned of real suffering in the world.

Angie is a citizen of the world who doesn’t believe on borders. She embraces equality & justice for people around the world. Cannot place her in a “box” coz she does things more than what “America’s Sweetheart” or whatever sweetheart is usually known for. She is a UN Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR, a member of Council on Foreign Relations, Humanitarian, Activist, Lobbyist, a big financial donor, a very talented & respected professional multi-awarded actress, dedicated mother, committed partner to her significant other & all other titles which are not superficial as opposed to “America’s Sweetheart” which in my opinion giving the term of endearment “Sweetheart” a bad name.
