Hugh Jackman Loves American Theatre
Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra Lee Furness arrive at the American Theatre Wing’s 2009 Spring Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on Monday (June 1) in New York City.
The 40-year-old actor was the honorary chair for the event, and entertainment was provided by Kristin Chenoweth, Barbara Cook, and Audra McDonald.
Hugh and Daniel Craig are set to star in Keith Huff’s play A Steady Rain on Broadway slated for this fall. Earlier this month it was also announced that Hugh and his Fountain costar Rachel Weisz will be teaming up again for the 19th-century drama Unbound Captives, along with Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson.

Do you and those other 50-somethings have active 3- and 9-year-olds, a production company, various charity commitments, a world-traveling in-demand superstar husband, photographers following them around town, and formal events to attend? If they can do all of that and not look tired, more power to them. And of course they have to look that good no matter what snapshot of them is used; they don’t get the option of choosing the most flattering or deleting the ones that show them at their worst moments.
I don’t think it’s idiotic too think this man is wasted staying married to grandma. She is more than 50, she’s 54 or 55. All dried up already! He is pure sex, a GOD! Such a waste. I don’t think it’s fair, she caught him when he was only 26!! Not in his right mind hahaha.
Let’s see what happens when she hits 60 and he’s still in his 40.. oh yeah, he’s so going to love being married to a “pos-menopausic” woman. I give them 5 years and I might be stretching it a little. Love is not the only thing that counts when it comes to relationships, many relationships end and there’s still love. Too much of a difference.
interesting that no one mentions that Deborra-lee Furness is an extraordinary actress who has won numerous awards for her work in Australian films - she is now just beginning to work as a director - she is also an artist - and an internationally known advocate for inter-country adoption, with an impressive record of success in reforming Australia’s adoption policies - there is a video somewhere of Deborra-lee giving a speech on the adoption issue in Australia - Hugh is in the audience listening and when you see his body language and facial expressions it is wonderfully clear that he is incredibly proud of his wife - in Australia they call Deborra-lee a “lion of a woman” - I think that is what attracted him at 26, what attracts him at 40, and what will continue to attract him all his life

Nicole Kidman has said that Hugh is lucky to have her. Andrew Denton made the lion of a woman comment. Some other interviewer told Hugh that he intended to steal her away. She’s very accomplished and reportedly very vivacious and energetic. People who have actually met her, as opposed to anonymous chat room commenters, say she is radiant and very personable. Not that she needs any defending from me or anyone else here. She has the last laugh as long as she has that accessory at her side, lol.
I saw him on one of those late night television shows and he was talking about how he had to bulk up for wolverine and he said his wife said, “you’re getting so big, it’s ridiculous, now get into bed.” I couldn’t stop laughing. She sounds like she has a great appetite for what he needs (wink wink) and a great sense of humor to go with it. I think she looks beautiful. I’m 15 years older than my husband he grew up in a happy home with both mommy and daddy, no issues at all. We’ve been married for 12 years and it just keeps getting better. There are some men who simply like older women because they know that we got a lot more to offer than a silly inexperienced little girl (wink wink). Love you Hugh, you’re one of the best in the industry. Great couple.

I think she is a lovely and beautiful woman and I bet she has a great personality, your just jelous that she has him and you dont!
