The 24-year-old singer has reportedly turned down an invitation by President Barack Obama to the White House. “Leona was thrilled to be invited to dinner by Obama. She really wanted to meet him and his wife Michelle - who is a big fan and has her Spirit album. They both think she is a strong, inspirational and talented young woman who is a fantastic role model for children,” a source told The Mirror.
“They would love her to get involved in some of their charity projects. But it was really unfortunate that it clashed with her tight schedule to get her second album done,” the source said. “Leona would have felt it a real honor to sing for him too. So if Barack ever asks again, she’ll jump at the chance.”

My 19 year old son stated that Leona Lewis appears to be really stuck-up. He attends college in Los Angeles and he saw her at the Santa Monica Beach. He asked her politely could he take a picture of her and she said “I’m with somebody right now and I am going somewhere.” Therefore, I am not surprised that she turned President Obama’s and Mrs. Obama’s invitation down. I hope that she’s aware that her fans are keeping her employed.

I don’t believe that story for a second. Your son must have mistaken someone else for Leona. Leona Lewis is the least stuck-up of all celebrities and probably of all people. She is very humble and kind and has never snubbed her fans or been rude to anybody. I know this for sure because i have studied her a LOT.
