Jason Mraz Shares Toilet Tissue Tips
Jason Mraz shared a naked picture of himself in his latest blog, which also suggests an eco-friendly solution to one of nature’s biggest pains in the ass.
The 31-year-old singer writes, “Americans’ addiction to two-ply, super soft toilet paper is causing greater harm to our environment than our gas guzzling cars. No s—…. In order to produce all that perfectly plush paper, companies must harvest tons of virgin trees, which the reaping of means less oxygen for the atmosphere to offset or all the carbon that seems to be frying us here on the surface.”
Here are some great toilet tissue tips from Mr. Mraz:
- Start small. Challenge yourself to use only 8 squares in your session. We’ve all been in that place where it’s close to the cardboard roll and you have to be MacGuyver to make a clean get-away. This will force you to get creative while taking good care of each square.
- Use both sides. I mean that. I bet some people are afraid to look at or get close to their own skid-marks. But I say it’s better to know how your body’s handling the business of your health. Fold the paper again and again using a clean angle from the very same square. There’s a lot of real estate wasted on each sheet when you only wipe once.
- Should you find the paper too thin and become the victim of too many breakthroughs, try using a stronger material as a backing. This worked when I was camping. The paper wasn’t holding up in the dampness of camp, so I used a leaf to give the paper more strength from behind. Plus the leaf was textured, which handled the job with far more efficiency than just the paper by itself.

How about just washing your ass with like a pressure cleaner device in the toilet? Somebody needs to invent an alternative! And then a blow drier just like a car-wash kind of deal!!! I am genius!
i disagree.. its not too much information. everybody poops. and using obscene amounts of toilet paper is a problem, so someone should be talking about it.
yeah. i don’t get it…well actually i do because i know it’s disgusting but i guess i don’t have a severe aversion to it like how i have irrational fears about blood. everyone takes a dump and everyone takes a piss. it’s natural. i don’t see what’s so abnormal about it, and #77 is right. this isn’t a grossness issue. infact you should actually THINK about what he is saying and think of a better way to add onto his advice. really. then that would be progressive thinking, and it would be helpful…instead of denegrating into insults and all these superfical matters instead of taking what he is talking about seriously.

don’t they have those kinds of toilets in europe? i’m sure they have something like that available already. i don’t know about the drier idea, but if it’s like those hand driers and it’s automatic heat then it could be harmful…but if it is adjustable heat and that would be more effective. start a toilet company. it’s actually big business. i don’t think i’d have the stomach to be in that business but i’d definately design the technology for it. it’s like that dude who made the urine purification system that turns it back into clean or as clean as possible water. it’s really neat technology.
Ehh..I’d still do him.
Who the hell uses toilet paper anyway? It is disgusting! Baby wipes are they only way to go! I have a box in every bathroom and keep them in my purse too. No member of my family has ever used toilet paper and I dont buy it. If you use toilet paper, you have a dirty ass!
Jason, that’s what your boyfriend’s tongue is for!
@s. h.: Sorry, but “opening minds” to a bunch of people who post on celebrity gossip blogs is a lost cause.
Even if you agree or disagree with him, he has a right to say whatever he wants, just like you have the right to say whatever you want.
If you want you celebrites to “shut up and entertain” has it ever occurred to you that you should “shut up and be entertained” and not run the gossip blog and use your pay or unemployment checks to pick up Star and National Enquirer every time it comes out?
Hey, try reading a book without pictures for once in your life, or is that not enough of a baby step for you.

oh, go read a book yourself…..Peter Pan or whatever…
You have a brain the size of a pea
Well, now we all know who has skidmarks. No wonder he’s sleeping alone out in the woods…lol…gross
Love it! Go Jason!
@Nutjob:
I so, so, agree with you. I couldn’t have stated it better myself. Let’s not
forget all the individuals who consider themselves environmentally
correct, who will likely protest the hefty ‘premium’ costs of doing things
the ‘green’ way.
considering money is created from some of the natural resources provided by the earth, i wouldn’t mind if we invested more money with effective solutions back into helping the earth instead of depleating all we can from nature. really. you take from the land and you have to give back to the land. and you respect all things, not just what humans have created. maybe then we can appreciate living the simple lifestyle and maybe we can reduce the superficial. it doesn’t hurt to try/strive for improvement.
@janiedoll:
That truly made me laugh out loud…
Nice pic Jason, but East Germany fell because of horrible toilet paper. What you propose is a return to barbarianism or its modern cousin communism.
OR you could do what the Europeans do and get a bidet. I really can’t understand why that hasn’t caught on in America it’s so much so cleaner and if you don’t want to get a full one they have ones that hook on the inside of your toilet.
what’s a bidget? is it cool? is it that thing i see on tv sometimes that the person was talking about that shoots pressurized water at your a$$?
lol. america and their lack of quickness…and because of them we can’t adopt really impressive technology used in europe or in asia. it really sucks being stuck under the might of the usa. really. you hear it all the time here. lol. but the americans wouldn’t know that because they hardly know anything about their neighbouring countries and have only certain perceptions of those countries. it’s hilarious for us observers.
Im on LOVE!!!!
The difference between America and other cultures is really highlighted in the comments!
- You know, in some parts of the world they don’t even use 1 square of paper - they don’t use any at all.
- The very typical “but you’re worse” reply is plastered all over the comments 8-)
- Chill out. It’s not *that* disgusting, we all do it.

you seem closed minded. It is not true about all americans.
same as people from other countries. people that complain or insult americans are the ones that are very jealous and know that the US is the most powerful country in the world.
No one country is perfect. Don’t say things that you are not fully informed about.
thats why we use water to clean our hineys. Hello!!! trust me, its ,much cleaner than any other substitute
Jesus Christ what a moron. there is a better alternative than his gross suggestion… it’s called a bidet! Hello, why use paper at all when you can get everything rinsed clean with water?!

When we visited Italy a few years back……our hotel room had a strange shower (right next to a regular toliet) and further down…was this funny looking toliet….which we later discovered was called a bidet. Had no idea how to use it….and did not know Italian to ask questions. When we returned home from Italy….I looked it up on the internet. HA!
However…..I found out that one does need to use the fingers when using the bidet. Ummmmmmmm…not sure I can do that! I a lot of the Italian bathrooms don’t even have soap! ugh!
I can’t imagine older people, handicapped people with back problems, etc…using the bidet.

that is true. it’s not only america, it’s the british, the french, the germans, the dutch, the spaniards, the italians, the russians etc…there are a lot of countries that i have problems with, even my own, and i understand that they don’t all have tabula rasa’s. it’s common knowledge that americans don’t know much about what goes on outside of their country just like it’s common knowledge that although you have some of the best post graduate institutions that the education system there is broken and that when it comes to national and international testing comparisons american students don’t rank very high. i was watching cnn today and it was funny to see the guy who actually isn’t american, who travels the world and reports from many conflict zones say that george bush has harmed america’s reputation abroad and that the when you ask people from other countries, america isn’t even worth mud to them. yes america is a great country and well known for hollywood, money, metropolis’, finance, junk food, etc…and although many people want to come to the country because it is the land of democracy and oppertunity and mostly the immigrants or refugees are coming from usually a place of oppression, america doesn’t have a good reputation in the world. i mean what really would we do if there was no u-s-of a? i think the world would vastly change…but like how the chinese are saying they want the international currency to change from the dollar to the rand…a lot of changes are happening in the world, and there is A LOT of unanimous feelings of anti american sentiments and decade by decade after decade even as events fade and memories fade (and as much as i would like a more peaceful world) history doesn’t change…and the next generation just grows up knowing about specific events and harbour the same emotions that their ancestors did. maybe if americans knew a little bit more about what was outside their immediate scope, then they would have picked up much earlier that although they may be the world’s most powerful country…that they aren’t endearing themself to anyone else and that in these times it’s all for one and one for all kind of mentality. what you guys are experiencing i guess probably over the past 40 years from your own people and from people outside yours has been going on in other countries for many years…and we all know who funds these atrocities. it’s always the one’s with the most to gain, the one’s with the power to manipulate/manouver, and usually the one’s with the most money.
# 99 ! wow….all that information. It’s too bad that 98.9 % of what you said is incorrect.
All Americans are NOT the same. Perhaps you could have said….some Americans.
And further more….very very wrong….and stupid of you to think America funds ” atrocities”. What cave are you from?
What country do you come from? Iraq?…Iran??
Not very intelligent are ya?
