Jason Mraz Shares Toilet Tissue Tips

Jason Mraz shared a naked picture of himself in his latest blog, which also suggests an eco-friendly solution to one of nature’s biggest pains in the ass.

The 31-year-old singer writes, “Americans’ addiction to two-ply, super soft toilet paper is causing greater harm to our environment than our gas guzzling cars. No s—…. In order to produce all that perfectly plush paper, companies must harvest tons of virgin trees, which the reaping of means less oxygen for the atmosphere to offset or all the carbon that seems to be frying us here on the surface.”

Here are some great toilet tissue tips from Mr. Mraz:

- Start small. Challenge yourself to use only 8 squares in your session. We’ve all been in that place where it’s close to the cardboard roll and you have to be MacGuyver to make a clean get-away. This will force you to get creative while taking good care of each square.

- Use both sides. I mean that. I bet some people are afraid to look at or get close to their own skid-marks. But I say it’s better to know how your body’s handling the business of your health. Fold the paper again and again using a clean angle from the very same square. There’s a lot of real estate wasted on each sheet when you only wipe once.

- Should you find the paper too thin and become the victim of too many breakthroughs, try using a stronger material as a backing. This worked when I was camping. The paper wasn’t holding up in the dampness of camp, so I used a leaf to give the paper more strength from behind. Plus the leaf was textured, which handled the job with far more efficiency than just the paper by itself.

lol. i’m neither of those. and you are correct. i’m just generalizing, which i realize is dangerous and quite incorrect but i did it. i understand that not all americans are ignorant. and also the information isn’t incorrect…i may have phrased it wrong but the general gist of it is all there. we can compare the whole my wad is bigger than yours but i’m don’t want to get into that. it’s okay if i’m wrong…but don’t kid yourself if you think any of those countries i mentioned don’t have blood on their hands at any point in history. and it’s not even consipracy theory if it’s been reported on, documented, confirmed by employees about what the us has been subsidizing. yesterday on ac360 randi kaye had a report (an this is nothing new) about how terrorists are buying technology to create weaponry or spy kits from AMERICAN companies, and that these people are allowed to do that because there are no sufficiant laws to STOP the companies from selling this technology to someone who is going to come back and use it against you. this information is nothing new…it used to be called the black market, and now smart people have figured out ways to circumvent law and put protection/safety in danger. money talks huge in this world. people think it’s always surprising when you find out america et al are usually behind or have a hand in a lot of the **** happening in the world/third world countries et al…but foreigners aren’t surprised. it helps if you look outside the borders and maybe learn a little bit about the rest of the world.

lol. just cause i said those things i’m automatically from the mid east. not even close, not even muslim. but why do i have to explain myself to you. sorry for making this thread so political but i was responding to some things in the comment, and i wasn’t the one who brought up the whole america thing…but i’ve said it a couple of times on this website and gotten lots of hate for it. lol. and it’s either i’m american or i’m not american when i’ve clearly said otherwise. hilarious.

i mean look at what happened in sri lanka recently with the ltte and the government there…how funny is it that after the war people are finding out that the weaponse used in the war from the ltte and from the government weren’t from sri lanka but mostly from britain or from the outside. seriously. and look at the weapons in the sudan, darfur…you know china is providing weapons to some of these militias and curropt governments in africa but they do it in the name of advancement and a quid pro quo to provide infrastructure and aide in return for land, and resosurces. the world is really amazing. anyways
sorry for going so grossly off topic. back to talking about how we can clean our human waste, which is a natural process for everyone.

we can clean our human waste by pooping the bullshit out of # 101

lol

lmfao. thanks 102.

currently listening to the paskitani ambassador to the united states explaining to the caucasian interviewer the history of pakistan and how the americans and russians were involved in mobalizing these fundementalists, and how no one thought ahead about the consequences at not demobalizing these guys. and how the entire position of the bush administration instead of dealing with fundemental issues in the region included these countries into their so called axis of evil, and how even these fundementalists in pakistan weren’t even from that countrybut they came from the outside. love history. completely hilarious. also hilarious is the media extrapolating the news in pakistan or afghanistan or even iraq and not explaining the local history there but only framing it one dimensionaly. it’s all rooted in history. if you’re poor, young, living in one of these places, you don’t go to school, you may not even be devotly religious, but if someone comes to you and says hey i can help you out but i want you to join my group…we can give you money, food, education, a family, a religion, etc…lol, you think many youths are resisiting? higly doubt that. i’ve heard it directly from the mouths of people who’s world is shifting around them but they can’t get out of their bitterness. just look around and think about it. such a well spoken man the ambasador, especially after musharaff tried so hard to silence him and kill him. love when even villagers know what democracy is, so much so that they can act in support of the lawyers and drive out musharraf. look at how the us is involved in the elections going on in lebanon (i have friends who were impacted by the wars…and let’s just say not only do they hate the lebanese government/lack of one, but they also higly hold america in contempt)…so the point is that america shouldn’t get involved in everything happening in the world, most of the time they get involved in what benefits them, but what the government doesn’t get is that foreigners don’t appreciate it on masse…not all of them but a lot of them. i mean i thought bill bennett was going apoplectic at what micheal ware was saying about the sentiment about america and bush in those regions and bill bennett responded with the typical, they would have loved saddam to still be ruling eh? ahahaha and micheal ware didn’t get a chance to answer although he tried very hard and campbell cut him off but his point was that the people there didn’t agree with the means america took to oust saddam and if there is anything they dislike, it’s the foreign miilatary in their immediate territory/backyard. i mean north korea and iran was and is sitting there…why couldn’t bush have dealt with that. revenge much? the devil you know you hold much closer than the devil you don’t know…and in that variable that ultimately became the us and their agenda (s). it’s entirely funny that every 10 years or so people have to figure out america’s plans for their country and see if they are in support and therefore in support of the local government or against the american agenda for their country and therefore against the government. i think this was one of my favourite topics in elementary school, tracing the origins of international conflicts.

read the link. that subject matter of the time story is nothing new. lol. people aren’t stupid and if they are, they shouldn’t remain comfortable with their stupidity. people are also getting smarter about politics and politricks.

(BAGHDAD) — Teenagers armed with grenades and suicide vests are the latest recruits for Sunni insurgents trying to find new ways to outwit heightened security measures and attack American and Iraqi forces, the U.S. military said Saturday.

The use of boys also serves a propaganda purpose — the soldiers face criticism for harming children if they fire back.

Insurgents first turned to women to carry out suicide bombings, causing U.S. and Iraqi troops to step up recruiting and training of female searchers at checkpoints to seek explosives easily hidden under women’s billowing black robes.

Now they appear to be using youths and weapons that are easier to hide like grenades as they face omnipresent checkpoints and convoys aimed at bolstering security gains that have caused the level of violence to plummet nationwide.

“With grenade attacks, insurgents hope to capitalize on reports of civilian injuries blamed on a coalition response to the attack,” said Maj. Derrick Cheng, a spokesman for U.S. forces in northern Iraq. “However, the reality is that the grenade explosion itself causes the majority of civilian casualties.”

The military has said in the past it believes al-Qaeda in Iraq and other insurgent groups are recruiting children because of their ability to avoid scrutiny.

But a statement issued Saturday was the first to provide detailed allegations of teenage suspects in what the military called “a growing trend of children carrying out attacks on Iraqi security and U.S. forces.”

Cheng stressed roadside bombs are still the main mode of attack against U.S. forces but said grenades are often the weapon of choice in urban areas where it is harder to plant explosives without being seen.

Young men can quickly throw the grenades then fade into the crowd, depriving the soldiers of the chance to fight back amid fears that they’ll hit innocent civilians. The tactic has been used in fighting before but takes on added significance as the Americans have been trying to improve relations with the Iraqi public in a bid to stem support for the insurgency.

Army Col. Gary Volesky, who commands U.S. troops in northern Iraq’s Ninevah province, said grenade attacks are on the rise but a “more disturbing trend” was the recruiting of children to throw them.

On May 9, U.S. soldiers killed a 12-year-old boy who the military said was believed to be involved in a grenade attack in the northern city of Mosul. Local residents said he was an innocent civilian. But the military said the boy was found with 10,000 dinars, or about $9, in his hand, which they said suggested he had been paid by insurgents.

At least five other youths between the ages of 14 and 19 have been involved in grenade and suicide attacks in recent weeks in northern Iraq, it said.

Those included a 15-year-old boy who was captured Monday after lobbing a grenade at a joint U.S.-Iraqi patrol in Hawijah, west of the disputed northern city of Kirkuk.

Another teenage boy threw a grenade at a U.S.-Iraqi patrol in the same area on Thursday, then fled the scene when it failed to detonate, the military said.

Nobody was harmed in those attacks. Two U.S. soldiers were killed in separate grenade attacks elsewhere in the area on Thursday, although it was not known who was responsible for the incidents.

A boy between the ages of 14 and 16 threw a grenade at a joint convoy of U.S. soldiers and Iraqi police in Hawijah on May 26, but no injuries or damage were reported, according to the statement.

The military also said a boy as young as 14 was the driver in a suicide car bombing that killed five Iraqi policemen in Kirkuk on May 12, while a 19-year-old man was arrested while trying to detonate a suicide vest at a Shiite mosque in the city on May 1, the statement said.

Four alleged members of a group known to recruit children were arrested on April 14, the military said.

Insurgent groups are trying to take advantage of the fact “that children do not draw as much attention and soldiers do not want to harm them,” the U.S. said in the statement.

The United Nations also has expressed concern that rising numbers of Iraqi youths have been recruited into militias and insurgent groups.

The U.S. military released several videos last year seized from suspected al-Qaeda in Iraq hideouts that showed militants training children who appeared as young as 10 to kidnap and kill. Children have also been used as decoys in Iraq.

Good for him. MOST people don’t understand how many trees are cut down so they can wipe their ass or blow their nose.

They make TP & paper towels from recycled post-consumer paper. That’s what I use.

!st, we are not making the earth warmer, do some research, its a natural progression. Ask any actual scientist.

2nd, at least trees are replenishable

3rd, legalize hemp and use that !!

and finally 4th, I am NOT giving up wiping my ass with real TP. PERIOD

am I am not giving up wiping my hiney either. I like to use those wet wipes that are flushable.

Gotta remember bacteria nowadays!

He can use a corn cob…..I don’t care!

lol

Gross, but can i see more of him in that pic?

I am going to use twice as much every time just because I find his scolding so obnoxious. Maybe just wipe with an entire roll each time.

^^i hope you don’t really do that because that response would also be obnoxious.

I’m sorry, but hairy cracks require at least 16 squares.

Oh come on! He’s not saying go completely commando and just live like a bush pig, he’s just saying cut the amount you use, which is good advice. I realised after reading it that I use about 10 squares each time for no reason at all.

each person’s hiney is different. Some folks have tummy troubles….or whatever…..and they are gonna use whatever amt of tp that is needed.
period. There are so many much more serious things than toliet paper that you can cut back on for heavens sake.

I won’t eat at his house for sure! Wonder if he uses soap…or does he consider that taboo too?

HOT!!! very masculine/man vs. wild. and he has a point with the toilet paper thing. your **** stinks too so get over it pls.

He has officially gone completely insane!!

yeah……his head is now stuck up in his butt.

Need a huge wad to help him relieve himself

yeah i was counting my squares the other day (i wonder why…i didn’t think this would actually impact me) and i was at 8…and i cut it down to 4. it’s all good. do it within your means, but don’t just be happy being ignorant and uninformed. dumbness is a disease. don’t be a subscriber.

good for you Mertz- Hoped you washed you stinky hands.

Don’t be silly and an jerk calling people ignorant and uninformed over of all things…..toliet paper! LOL

Dumbness and being a jerk is a disease.

There real reasons some people can’t use 8 or less!

There are more important things to do on this earth to save the environment.

hey everything you do counts. that’s what i was agreeing with the girl previous (steph), and for people who keep saying more important things can be done, yes that’s true, but EVERYTHING YOU DO COUNTS, and you can’t discount that. there’s really no argument here. everyone starts in their own way. i had just realized that i do actually count my squares prior to the blog and after this blog, and i had just realized that what he’s saying is nothing new to me. and like some dude was saying it varies for each person. unlucky for me i’m really tiny and i hate acting human and using the washroom. i’m not better than anyone here. there are some really dumb comments here though about something positive in what jason was imparting. it’s okay if people don’t do it or don’t want to hear it, but it’s not really funny and people promoting their ignorance in their comments like it’s okay. i’m the first person to call on my own bullsh*t.

ok mertz….

Have a merry good time taking your little butt to the toliet and counting your squares a day.

LOL
