OlderAngelina Jolie Takes Time Magazine
Angelina Jolie takes to Time Magazine to voice her case against Sudanese President Omar al Bashir, who has been indicted on seven counts of war crimes and five counts of crimes against humanity.
The 33-year-old refugee advocate writes, “Friday is a defining moment in the history of justice. The members of the United Nations Security Council will be presented with the results of the International Criminal Court’s Darfur investigation — an investigation that they requested. Their response will determine whether there is going to be an international standard of justice that holds perpetrators accountable for the worst crimes in the world.”
She continues, “Today the Security Council member states will be faced with a simple decision — to embrace impunity or to end it. As they are considering Bashir’s fate they are also considering their own.”

I dont care what the naysayers say, but in my book Roger is the GREATEST of ALL TIME… Even if he never wins the French (of course my fingers are crossed, because i want him to get the career slam as well as tie Pete). I am just going by all that he has accomplished thus far

Sweetie, I work for the gov-o-mint. In case you didn’t know we’re only allowed to do actual work once a week and I did mine on Tuesday. Oops…my bad. That was the Bush admin policy. Now that Obama’s in office we have to SAY we work 2 days a week. And really, when you think about it, at least I have a job. You’re locked away in the nuthouse with limited computer hours…which you rather oddly spend stalking me. Then again…you’re not in the nuthouse because you’re sane.

ITA. The argument for Sampras doesn’t hold up for me simply because Roger’s made it to 4 French finals and Pete never made it to the French final at all and only got to 1 semi-final round.

I have not been on JJ for a long time. Lurked today and I saw this and had to break my break and post.
Angelina is a committed woman and dedicated to the causes she beliieves in; in addition to her kids and her man. She works hard and really makes sure she educates herself before she speaks. She has never to my knowledge tried to pressure others to believe in what she does. She has never to my knowledge pushed her beliefs on anyone. That to me says a great deal. So as a fan I am proud to call myself so. I hope the fans will post many comments. Put this thread count over the top. It will hopefully send a message on what kinds of post the fans would like to see.
Thanks Jared for rising above the negative.. Thanks for printing someithing on your site that is not only enjoyable for fans, but truely newsworthy.

What ‘W’ could be accused of is agression (for invading Iraq) but first, I understand, agression has to be defined as a war crime. Next year in Kampala, Uganda, there will be a conference to decide, among others, just that. Only then can the ICC go after Bush.
This is one of the reasons why Angie dethroned that quarter-of-a-century-older-heavy-weight-not-good-looking-one in the Forbes Most Powerful List.

If/when agression (invading a sovereign country) becomes a crime, it will be hard for the ICC to catch Bush, because the US won’t cooperate. The US does not recognize the ICC. The only way to catch Bush would be if he leaves the country.
Remember Pinochet? He was lucky to have Margaret Thatcher help him. I doubt Bush would have anyone help him!
If I remember correctly, I read that Henry Kissinger loves soccer, and used to attend every World Cup, but he missed the one in Germany because he was worried about becoming another Pinochet. He knows there are people after him.

Thanks for posting the time article written by AJ. AJ is a very inspiring work and has remained committed to her UN work and charitable projects.
