Hollywood goddess Angelina Jolie is the July 2009 cover girl for Harper’s Bazaar’s. Here are some snippets from the lead story “Why Women Want Angelina Jolie’s Life” via essayist Naomi Wolf:

The qualities she has that makes her so attractive to most is also the qualities that some hate. I guess if I’m one of those with so much insecurities, I’d feel threatened as well.
Has Harpers Bazaar run out of money? They use an old, albeit gorgeous, photo taken by paparazzi to put on their cover? What happened to a fashion magazine setting up a photo shoot?

PT is right. HB is just jumping on her bandwagon to sell their mag. Or if this is not the photo they used on their print edition, it is even worse in that it is being used just to get hits on their site.

What is it with these homely women in this type of movie? I Haven’t seen this movie but unless it’s about some gorgeous Greek trying to score himself a Green Card then there is no way that guy would give her character a second look. I thought My Big Fat Greek Wedding strained credulity a bit. Make it all about their hair and they become delusional. Maybe they should consider casting a male co-star who would make a believable partner.

Nia should make and star in a bio Christina Onasis rather than these implausible fantasies designed to boost the deflated egos of unattractive women. Christina! Now that could get her an Oscar nom - or at least a Golden Globe.

yes, the trolls as you call them got here first. maybe, that’s because they see angelina for who and what she really is. she is a beautiful actress i will give you that. but i would rather see someone with substance, someone who holds real power on the cover of magazines. someone like michelle obama who helped her husband become president of the united states. or someone like nancy pelosi who, using the power of her office, can stop the president of the united in his tracks. or hilary clinton, who using the power of her office, can make it clear to the leaders around the world the way it will be. none of the which angelina can ever do because she doesnot have power.

obssessing much on Jolie’s wild days? i think she is so much better now as a woman, an actress, humanitarian and a mother. who cares if she kissed and married who? atleast she owns up to it and never denied anything. she has let go of her past, you !d!ots should too!

I really like the color of the lipstick on this cover. I don’t think it was the one she was wearing at the premier. That one looks a lot paler. What do you guys think? I’d like to see her wear a color like this more often since it looks fantastic, but all she seems to wear is the pale pink lipgloss or the bright red lipstick, which I don’t like on her and she even said that she doesn’t wear it (red.)
I think she looks nicer/natural without the red lipstick, but then, she looks great no matter what she wears…she’s the only celeb i know who is still stunning without make-up! some celebs make me cringe when they are photographed without their make-up!

It is really ridiculous that people keep bringing up Angie’s past. That is all they have to say. We’ve all done stupid and immature things in the past and then have grown up and moved on. It is all part of the growing up process and maturing into an adult. What is sad is people who never grow up.
Why do so many of us admire this woman? Some of the reasons are articulated in this article.
She was stunning at this premiere. Absolutely glowing and beautiful.

1. She is a very successful Actress with an Oscar to boot.
2. You don’t know how well she takes care of her kids, so don’t lie. By all accounts, she is a very hands-on and attentive mother.
3. She never ‘made out’ with her brother, at all. All these silly little tabloid myths have been debunked over and over and over and over and over and over again, so I don’t know what you think you’re achieving, by posting well-known LIES.
4. She never had a ‘vial’ of blood, it was a tiny, tiny speck, a pinprick droplet on a locket. No big deal, unless you are small-minded and redneck, like you appear to be.

She should look at it this way - she was able to book 900+ more theaters than X…and her movie made 9X what X’s did the opening weekend. So the next time they get together at Rita Wilson’s house Nia will have bragging rights that her movie bombed less than X’s!
Talking about Jolie’s pre 25 days again? Same craps from the same sickos, only on a different day and five years later, and all because one man who was and is supposed to be worthy of despise for accepting his wife’s wish to divorce.

No matter how you desperately try to spin it, there was NO tongue, it was a QUICK kiss ON the lips. Your LIE has been debunked so many times, so save it.
