Times are tough for Hollywood actors too, maybe they have to take any and every script offered to them, Gerry is not exactly A-Llist, he was touted as the next big thing, but it hasn’t happened yet.

This movie does not look promising either for him if you consider the actress (Jennifer Aniston i.e Rachel Green in every movie). I agree, if she is playing a gal on the run from a crime, I just can’t see it. She’s more vanilla than vanilla, blah. The only crime I can imagine her committing is not putting enough hair conditioner in her hair. Plus the director has directed some crap awful movies Hitch (one of Will Smith’s few bombs), Fools Gold (total bomb that stunk and had critics cringing at McConaughey’s career choice). Only Sweet Home Alabama was so-so (only because Reece plays Southern so well). But the rest of his directing track record is terrible.

What happened to him, he is no longer cute, looks rough now all the time. Guess 300 was the one-and-only time when he looked good, since then he has looked awful, no longer a fan, hasn’t done anything decent since that movie.

To Post #26 - Hitch was not a bomb for Will Smith. The movie had a 68% fresh rating on RT site and the Box office for the film was $179 million domestically and Worldwide $368 million.

And If this film does half of the box office of Hitch it will still be a success.

Hollywood studios nowadays seem mainly interested in action/thrillers, comic book pre/sequels, rom-coms, animated ones, frat boy/immature adults ones. Serious movies are seldom made because audience just want to relax and get a cheap laugh at the movies. Sort of escapism from hush reality I suppose. My guess is these are the kind of scripts GB are offered and he doesn’t have much choice.

The Hangover did very well at the openning weekend and that just proves it. State of the Play which is about journalists and politicians and political intrigues starring Russell Crowe did poorly at box office.

Someone said show business is more about business than show. Whatever movies fill seats will be the ones get made.

Wow Aniston taking a stab again at something that might have some meat in it. Now if they don’t mess it up by making it a syrupy happy ending, that would be great. I have my reservations about the chemistry..don’t think it will be there but it is JUST ME. In the scope of things, I think this on-screen coupling is a good thing. It means a move from latching aniston to Brad and/or Angelina and proving her BO on her own. Did not prove it with Management, the other new titled movie, we will see. But her Baster and this GB collaboration will make or break her ambition to be a movie star.

I don’t think he has a bald spot, but the dark hair in combination with the puffy cheeks and the botoxed forehead looks just terrible. As someone else said, this hair color makes him look much older. He looked really good at the hangover premiere last week, as he usually does when he’s in between movies. But as soon as he’s about to shoot he’s doing something to himself that makes him look weird.

He seemed happy enough to be seen out with her and probably felt it was nobody’s business to have to acknowledge her as a girlfriend. He defintely had a GF in New York last year(Jasmine??) as there was that guy who blogged about the Kareoke nights at Cipriani Upstairs and when asked why he had not come one Sunday Gerry said he was not allowed and joked something to the effect of “honey can I go out to sing with my mates and some hot models”. It was probably well known within certain circles who he was dating.

IMO unless he is really serious about someone he will not be seen at public events with them. I do believe he probably has alot of on set flings that end when filming stops and has women all over the world where he goes that quite happily know they are not exclusive but hey there is nothing like great sex without the emotional attachment. Whether we like or dislike what we hear , know personally or have witnessed I bet Gerry is very open about what he wants from these women and nobody is forcing them to get involved with him. I do think it would be easy to fall hard and not mean to so expect there are a few who maybe hope for more and are left dissapointed.

I’m not surprised at all that he said that he has a girlfriend. Although, the way that article is written, it is difficult to tell whether he is talking about past or present. What a great sentance to have a typo in! LMAO.
I have suspected all along that he is with someone and that a lot of this stuff about him is bullshit.
There was also a blog that came out of India that stated that he did have a girlfriend meet him while he was there. He was there for almost a month so there was obviously time for someone to come and visit after his friends left. Now the question is, who is it and why does he keep her hidden? When you look at the actual footage of TMZ most of the videos are much ado about nothing. What we see on camera is nothing but a show as he knows where the pap hotspots are. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s not manwhoring but if he does it’s not on camera. The only time he was really comprimised was at the pier and that might have been a show as well.

When you look at the bashing that has happened whenever someone came forward with a personal story about him, you’re not surprised that his flings prefer to keep quiet. Besides, who would want to share the humiliation of having been dumped with the whole world?

The only reason TMZ likes him is because they can make a catchy promo jingle about him.

It was right after Phantom is when he got the taste of the high publicity life and has never been able to top it and that is why he’s so bitter about his career.

Although the Times of India seemed to cover his whole trip with tons of articles, we only read in one obscure blog about this alleged girlfriend and they even believed her to be Cheryl Burke. And he still goes clubbing all the time with various people. Why would a steady girlfriend sit at home while he’s out and about? I completely agree with you. Clearly Gerry does not have the same confidence in himself that Daniel Craig has - that is quite obvious on many levels. Hiding whomever he is dating from the public eye (which he has now admitted to) is just one example of his major self esteem issues.

ITA about his reference meaning past relationships and, let’s face it, he’s not incredibly well-known. Yes, it’s ramping up but even when 300 was a hit he still wasn’t overly known, so it was possible for him to have relationships without anyone knowing not because he was hiding it but because no one was looking.

He’s always been “secretive” about his relationships, even way before 300. He never dated anyone openly. I remember several interviews I believe around the time he was doing TR2, in the first one he said he had a girlfriend but kept her out of the public (mind you, he was a total nobody back then) and in another one some months later he said he’d just broken up. And that’s how it’s been going all the time. Once in a while when he was specifically asked he said there was someone (that nobody ever saw) and as soon as the next movie premiere was ahead he had conveniently just broken up.

The Norwegians were a hoax in terms of what they made up and out of their brief encounter with GB. They accidentally ran into him at this karaoke show (that’s why they have the video which I don’t doubt is legit), but everything else they built around it was a fraud. The tweets and posts here about this alleged relationship with him, the blog story (for the most part), the alleged booty call, all the posts here under false identities slamming him. Maybe they thought it was “funny” to jerk around with the fangurls, or maybe they thought with all the recent hype around him they’d get their own 15 minutes of fame out if it. Or maybe he behaved like an idiot that night and they wanted to pay him back. I can only speculate about their motives. But they were a hoax.

As for the Philly blog, it’s strange that the “herding” thing was deleted because if he had a real girlfriend methinks he would have been more interested in having some other parts deleted, LOL. From what I remember of that blog, the herd was dismissed anyway after a short conversation with him. @no surprise: Just stay right here in the JJ threads and do just a little bit of flipping back to pictures from about 2 - 3 weeks ago. If you check out his lovely and more natural look - the real Gerry is under there.
What he has done is have his eyes injected in such a way that (THIS IS EASILY VISIBLE) his crows feet stop BEFORE the outside corner of his eyes - that is what you are noticing. This look is seen all over Hollywood, but usually on older people. Crows feet are natural and friendly laugh lines and they wrap around past the outside corner of the eye and extend to the side of the face. Some here have mentioned his “dead” looking eyes - check that out - that’s what it is. The “tired” excuse is laughable - if you’re tired your crows feet don’t disappear from half of your face.
Don’t get me started on all the Botox and filler he’s got on that skating rink of a forehead. It is expressionless and zombie-like and it is actually scary to me because I love his beautiful face and think he’s made himself grotesque here. He’ll never be noticed for his acting if he compromises his face like that. Oh well, he’s already compromised himself doing an Aniston film - so who cares.

I read the nordic chicks blog on gerry about 2 weeks ago. The comments were hysterical. It is down now so something happened in just the past couple of weeks to make them take it down. I personally don’t think it matters if the story they told is true or not (though it’s very plausible from all the other stories and videos out there). Gerry’s definitely the guy in the video and he did have his arm around one of the girls. What matters is that gb looked ridiculous, somebody wasn’t happy with it and had it deleted.

I’m not psychic, but there’s been alot of talk about Gerry having someone in the wings. My feeling is, and I don’t know where its coming from, is that he does and because she is young, he is very protective of her. Their relationship has developed over many years into a strong bond and a great connection. For now it is what it is, but I believe soon all will be revealed. I think it is Emmy Rossum, sh’es 23 so she fits his amo, she sings, he loves to sing. If you watch any of the video’s of them together being interviewed you can tell there is something there. She’s not so famous yet and thats an nice equal balance for Gerry, I don’t think he’d want to be with anymore more famous or A-list than him. They may have kept in touch all these years and had quiet private get-to-gethers. It never ceases to amaze me how people come on here and post information about Gerry as if they have some inside scoop on him. Yes, people judge him pretty harshly on here but for the most part they state it as their opinion. They dont know him and dont pretend to. I’m only talking in general here, not knowing Butler. But in my experience men who still don’t acknowledge their girlfriends after several months never will. Because by then they already know she’s not “the one” and they just keep dating out of convenience. When men meet “the one”, they know immediately and can’t wait to tell everyone they’re an item. I’ve seen this happen over and over again. So if it’s true he’s been dating someone for quite a while now I think she should indeed check if he’s really that much into her. Especially with a reputation like his. Granted we don’t know if or what of all the gossip is true, but given the fact that he’s really not that well known, I don’t think it’s been all made up. The Aniston, Diaz stuff, yes, but all these other stories might have some truth to them.

Well whatever Bianca was to him she did at least get the Personal Appearance treatment at a few Golden Globes and Elton John Oscar Parties a few years running.

I do not believe he has the kind of career where the studios would dictate to him that showing up at a public event with female in tow would harm his career so I am of the opinion it has been by choice - probably too much of a headache to choose which FWB to take LOL and which ones he is happy to lose by it not being them and him getting kicked to the kerb LOL.

I would expect a few well publicised non personal appearances here and there with the same female to get the buzz out there that he may be dating before showing up at a PA with her to make it official.
