Last time I check you don’t bring in ratings because you have hott people, you get good ratings with the story you are trying to sell to the audience. No main charater aka Lucas no story to sell. Wasn’t this story/show based on Lucas/Nathan/Dan, well mostly Lucas Scott? I thought that was Mark’s vision. Sheeesh Mark what happend to artistic integrity? One Tree Hill shouldn’t be called One Tree Hill anymore, it’s being taken over by characters who did NOT get OTH to a 7th season. The reason why OTH has fans was because of Chad/James/Hilarie/Sophia/Joy. You know the main five. The one who created these characters we all love and hate at the same time. Now they talk aout reinvention? WTF, are you kidding me this is not ER, Law and Order…This show can’t survive with two of the most love/hated characters gone, no matter how many pretty people they try to bring in, OTH will never be the same E.V.ER.

everyone is used to chad thats why its hard to replace him, but he overacts everything and was getting kind of annoying towards the end. he and peyton were set and that storyline was going nowhere so they were expendable.

as for rob, i watched him in lipstick jungle and he is amazing. theyre both too pretty to be serious actors, but rob is much more believable than chad

Of course he would say that he got told to leave because they wanted to save money but if you believe that you’re kind of an idiot…Why would OTH fire Chad and hire someone else?! Chad wanted to leave, he wanted to act in movies, he felt like he had done everything he could on OTH, he figured it would be the last season however it wasn’t but he CHOSE to leave!! He was not fired, they did refuse to pay him more money but w.e all in all Chad chose to leave the show..

And they couldn’t have Chad leave and keep Hilarie around, why because well Lucas without Peyton is impossible and can’t be done-i mean sure they could have killed Chad but I am sure that would have pissed a lot more people off…So since Chad wanted to leave it was time for Hilarie to leave too…

It sucks they are leaving but this isn’t CHAD show!! Sure this show started off as a boy trying to fit in and discover himself aka Lucas but the show has grown so much more and has become more about other characters and no not just the core five, don’t forget about Mouth, Skills, the parents, etc- This show may have started off about Lucas but it is not CHAD show..

I am a die hard fan and I love this show and I will not stop watching or boycott because Chad DECIDED to leave the show. I will continue to watch because I personally love the show and I think Robert will bring a lot of spice to the show… and P.S> IT A TV SHOW!!! IT NOT REAL GET OVER IT!!

Yes, Chad CHOSE to leave the show, and yet people belittle him for it? Honesly, if Chad had stayed with this show for another year, I would have been disappointed in him because his heart is not in it anymore and all of us know that and if HE would have stayed it would have THEN been for the money and not because he is doing something he loves. Chad did right by walking away and in my opinion as a viewer of the show there is really nothing left to tell. They way season 6 ended wrapped up everything pretty great, although I think Mark did that because he knows season 7 will be totally different. Still, people are going to talk about Chad regardless of why he left, we honeslty can’t say that he left based soley on money, if so please post proof of this. Anyways. the whole debicle with CH departeture was handled poorly by both parties. Yes, that includes the network too. When I read Ostroff interview regarding CH departure I could not belive this woman runs a network…she sounded petty and just nooo….Anyways I love Chad and I thank him for the 6 years he gave and the charity events he did with it…. and this guy is no way a replacement for him because A) you can’t replace a main character with a secondary one sheeeesh….

next season will have lots of new stories to tell. I heard there will be a one year time jump so they’ll be able to explain the lost cast members. I saw that vid that was put on the web where Chad was asking fans to blog so he could keep his job. Both Chad and Hilarie played chicken with the CW for money. We all can see how that turned out.

Also, it is soooooooooooooo tiring to read the same **** over and over again regarding him and Sophia…that was a long time ago..Maybe some should follow in the people they look up to meaning Chad/Sophia and follow there footsteps and be polite, but I guess that’s too much to ask for? I personally want to see him do something he is passionate about and if that meant leaving OTH then so be it.. Chad has done many good things with this show and has been to many of the charity events and tv shows to promote the seasons but many people don’t comment on the good he has done instead they focus on the negative…it’s ridiculous. Chad did what every good actor would have done, he brought his game in the last epis. he had left, when fans came and visited Wilmy in his last week or two he was there ALWAYS signing and taking picture with fans..You can see how much he truly cares about his fans. He did everything he could possibly do, I am proud of him. He walked away from something he could have easily more or less done again meaning season 7 but he felt it was his time to go…and for that I am happy he did.

Ally are you serious? You compared OTH to ER? That is like laughable. First of all, ER was way more popular and actually had good writers, so it did not matter that main cast members left. OTH is nothing like ER. When Dawn said that in her interview I died laughing, and the funny thing is she actually believes that OTH can do good without your MAIN character on this show which like I said it’s nothing like ER. With ER you could come up with so many stories because there was so much to tell unlike OTH which is based on these five character lives and has run out of ideas because the writers are just repeating storylines…ZZZZZZZZ.

And maybe these new characters and new storylines might actually end up working and new people tuning in might like them. So who knows? Its still too early to say that season 7 is going to pass or fail.

i wouldnt call people ‘morons’ for their opinions. chad is one of my fave actors and he has scenes where he is extreamly good as well as ones where he is not so strong. i think he is a good actor, he has things he needs to work on but he is good. i don’t care if you hate him or love him or hate his acting or love it. its your opinion but he by far not the worst on TV, heck even on OTH.
