Robert Buckley Replaces Chad Michael Murray
Former Lipstick Jungle hunk Robert Buckley will replace recently ousted Chad Michael Murray in the CW series One Tree Hill.
According to THR, Buckley will play Clayton, a brash young sports agent who represents Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and has become a close friend, ally, business partner and advisor to him while also enjoying the spoils that come from being a wealthy, handsome single guy.
Buckley filled in for Brian Austin Green, whose deal for the role fell through.

@Jill: i have have seen the vid and i’m not too sure whats up with that but chad has wanted to leave since s4. i really dont think that he would have re-signed for more money. he turned down over a million with no movies lined up (that we know of) so i really dont think it was for money. chad left because he did not like it. i dont see the crime but thats just me.
i for one will not be watching
adding a hot actor is NOT going to save the show.
The show is done and has been for a long time. They should have ended it in season 4.
Do we really need another season filled with pointless characters and recycled storylines?
He was on Privledged with current girlfriend Joanna Garcia. I wonder if they got canceled? I’m sure they’ll put their characters together somehow. On other sites “fans” are already using the phrase “How long before Sophia jumps on this one?” for certain topics. She’s pretty, single and ready to mingle with other single guys. Whats the harm? Let the girl have some fun! I’m sure this will be the last year of OTH. Hope its a decent season.

Alot of new stories to tell my ass…if they do another time jump it will be like what year 2013 or whatever year it is in TH..???Yeah OTH timeline makes no sense just like the stories they are going to TRY to sell…This guy is hott but not hot enough to endure the 40 min. of boring that is going to be playing…

Regardless if Chad stayed he would have been hated on just like he is hated on for leaving this damn show…Chad haters will always doubt and try to put down..When an article appears on him, they go and say negative things and think the worst as always…it’s there first reaction that is why they are callled HATERS. Also, it is soooooooooooooo tiring to read the same **** over and over again regarding him and Sophia…that was a long time ago..Maybe some should follow in the people they look up to meaning Chad/Sophia and follow there footsteps and be polite, but I guess that’s too much to ask for? Chads reason for leaving are justified for me. I don’t need any damn excuse as to why he made that desicion. It’s his life obviously he knows whats best for him and I do not question it. You come on here to read about people you like and all you see is negative things sometimes, and it’s just a shame that people really stoop that low and say nasty things when they do not personally know Chad at all.
Actually plenty of people who do know Chad personally don’t exactly have nice things to say about him either. Buts thats all I’m going to say on the matter because it’ll just open up another can of worms.
Moving on, next season should be interesting. Looks like a lot of things will be changing so lets see what happens.
Thank you^, the same Chad vs. Sophia thing is so old. If Chad and Sophia can let it go, why can’t there fans do the same? I agree Ash, Chad did what was best for him and that enough for me as a fan. I personally want to see him do something he is passionate about and if that meant leaving OTH then so be it.. Chad has done many good things with this show and has been to many of the charity events and tv shows to promote the seasons but many people don’t comment on the good he has done instead they focus on the negative…it’s ridiculous. Chad did what every good actor would have done, he brought his game in the last epis. he had left, when fans came and visited Wilmy in his last week or two he was there ALWAYS signing and taking picture with fans..You can see how much he truly cares about his fans. He did everything he could possibly do, I am proud of him. He walked away from something he could have easily more or less done again meaning season 7 but he felt it was his time to go…and for that I am happy he did.
Personally, I don’t give a crap what Chad does in his spare time. If people who know him personally don’t have nice things to say about him, then why are they still talking to him? Obviously they are being hypocritical. All I DO care about is what Chad brings to the table. If he is committed, passionate, and loving what he is doing meaning his job as an actor then THAT is what matters…All that outside stuff that gets tossed around in these conversations are pointless…Everyone who claims they have sources and know people who claim to know things on Chad is dumb. It’s the internet anyone can claim they know somebody who knows something about Chad or any other cast member. It’s quiet disturbing, do they not have a life of there own in which they have to then find out personal stuff about an actor or actress, like really are you serious?

I HATE Chad. So its a relief I won’t have to see him on the show next season.
And judging by what I’ve heard and seen about Robert Buckley, it looks like he’s definitely going to bring something refreshing to the show.

I don’t want to stir anything up but the reason that people focus on the negative stuff about Chad more than the positive is because he’s given reason to over and over again.
Yes, he’s been nice to his fans lately, especially in the last two seasons. And although you and others may have had really nice experiences when meeting him, they’re are plenty of people including myself who haven’t. Normally I would just chalk it up to him having a bad day, but lets just say he wasn’t so nice the times I’ve met him. And the same goes for my friends and other people I know who’ve met him too.
All I’m saying is that if you’ve had a good experience with him , then don’t make it seem as if everyone who’s ever met him has had nice encounters with him as well. I hate when people basically jump down someones throat just because they see some people saying stuff they don’t like and basically sit there and say how nice or whatever that person is. You don’t these actors personally, so unless you hang out with them all day long doesn’t mean they’re nice all day, everyday to other people.
loved him in lipstick jungle its a not so bad replacement i’ve always just out up with chad he got annoying but noone can replace peyton thats the real loss!!! They need to bring back Rachel(daneel harris) i’ve always wanted to know where she is and she can be the friend to brooke because hayleys always stayed absorbed in her own litlle family so she can’t.

your kidding right?? please go watch/read some of Hilarie and Joys interviews. They always say how great Chad is. Joy even refers to Chad has her little brother.

oh and james lucas scott is the most cliched character that their trying to make perfect (athlete, smart witty) come on how many people know little boys like that……. It was okay in season 5 but season 6 i had too skip his lines cause their so blaaaaaah

I enjoyed One Tree Hill until this last season. Chad was just phoning in the part. He just used this show to form his own private harem and now all the girls are on to him What happened did his head get bigger than the part? Not like he’ll be going on to bigger things, He should have rode this train to the station. Good bye Chad. Next we will see him on where are they noiw.

Come on, are you serious? Some of you really believe that the show will fail without Chad and Hilarie? We don’t know anything yet, at least watch the first couple of episodes and then decide if it’s bad or not. Look at show like ER, the show was on forever and there were always new charathers that replaced the old. The show didn’t get low ratings or went bad because of that.

I honestly don’t know what reason Chad has given time and time again to dislike him that somehow involves us jumping down his ass. Please don’t say the Sophia issue and other outside stuff that is his personal life because that basically is none of our business. Of course I don’t know them personally, and I am sure Chad is human. If you did not have a nice encounter then I am sorry, but that doesn’t mean he is like that. The same could be said for every Cast member, you think they are nice all the damn time??? For example, take Sophia, at the last charity game the Brooke/Lucas fans gave her a present and she signed it with Lucas/Peyton or something to that effect ummm some where not happy at all… Also, have you looked over this page? People jump down other’s people’s throat if Sophia is brought up in here in a negative way. Besides your basically jumping down my throat because I said Chad has done nice things and so on…? Whatever I’m out.
The show- DOWNGRADE
Robert Buckley- NETRUAL. He is just another pretty face, so what that’s nothing exciting. It’s laughable that the CW/OTH are trying to get people like BAG or in this case Robert B. onto the show, can you desperate much? Are they trying to buy the audience with hott guys? Last time I checked that doesn’t bring up your ratings, stupid CW/OTH.
