Robert Buckley Replaces Chad Michael Murray
Former Lipstick Jungle hunk Robert Buckley will replace recently ousted Chad Michael Murray in the CW series One Tree Hill.
According to THR, Buckley will play Clayton, a brash young sports agent who represents Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and has become a close friend, ally, business partner and advisor to him while also enjoying the spoils that come from being a wealthy, handsome single guy.
Buckley filled in for Brian Austin Green, whose deal for the role fell through.

Ally are you serious? You compared OTH to ER? That is like laughable. First of all, ER was way more popular and actually had good writers, so it did not matter that main cast members left. OTH is nothing like ER. When Dawn said that in her interview I died laughing, and the funny thing is she actually believes that OTH can do good without your MAIN character on this show which like I said it’s nothing like ER. With ER you could come up with so many stories because there was so much to tell unlike OTH which is based on these five character lives and has run out of ideas because the writers are just repeating storylines…ZZZZZZZZ.

Don’t jump down her throat just because you don’t agree with what she said. I agree that OTH is nothing like ER. And of course ER was a more popular show. She wasn’t comparing the two shows…..just saying that ER had been on the air for years with a million characters coming and going. Yet, it still managed to stay on for a very long time. And just because two of the core five on OTH are leaving doesn’t mean the rest of them on the show should just pack there crapp and go because one of them(Chad) no longer wanted to be on the show. All I’m saying is that if he wanted to leave, then who cares? Some people are acting like the shows producers and the network told him to pack his bags when thats not true because he wanted to leave. His decision also caued Hilarie to say good-bye. So just because he wanted to leave doesn’t mean the show is “over.” This show hasn’t been about Lucas Scott in a long time so its not a big deal.
And maybe these new characters and new storylines might actually end up working and new people tuning in might like them. So who knows? Its still too early to say that season 7 is going to pass or fail.
Season 7 is going to fail this is common knowledge, and I definitely won’t be tuning in. Dawn, One Tree Hill, and Mark can suck it!
Hey dimwits, stop blaming the CW for Chad leaving. They didn’t force him out….HE bolted from the scene. Geez. He’s a two-timing prima donna, anyway. Stop building him up to be something he’s absolutely NOT. He was the weak link on OTH, and life will be SO much sweeter with him in L.A. groveling for a job.
And all you Brian Austin Green lovers (why?): No need to blame the CW for HIS losing the role, either. He chickened out like a little puss. So there you have baby Chad and baby Brian, each offered roughly $1.65-million for a few months work in lead roles….and they turned it down.
Welcome aboard, Robert. You seem like a nice guy who will bring a new degree of professionalism to the set of OTH. And for all those little whiney girls who say “I’ll never watch again!,”….good riddance. Go watch The Moment of Truth on Fox or something. Just stop talking. You’re some of the most annoying people in America.

i hve heard nasty things about all of the cast members from people who know/work with them. no one is every loved by everyone.
chad was extreamly popular in the first 3 seasons and is IMO the only reason the show is still on the air. his fan base then saved the show. everyone hates him now and bashes him for no reason.
i will not watch. i’m sorry i love chad and thats why i was watching it. plus i really dont see how there is at all a chance that they will pull this off after the last two seasons.
OMG.
All of these stupid idiots whining about “I’m not going to watch now” are so fckin annoying. If you don’t wanna watch, -THEN DON’T. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to watch the show next season.
And if you not gonna tune in, then so be it. Because I know plenty of people who will and are actually excited for the new season.
All of these whining idiots just make everyone else who reads there comments just laugh.

Ummmm Lisa…..I have no idea where you’ve been living these past few years or whatever. But Chads fanbase isn’t what saved the show during the first three seasons. Thats actually pretty funny if you really believe thats true. You want to know what saved the show from being canceled then??
It was actually the fans of OTH in general. Its was the fans of each character and actor/actress on the show including the fans who just really loved the show in general without having any favorites(I actually know quite a few people like that). All those fans put together is what has kept this show on for as long as it has. It wasn’t just Chad fans who kept the show on air. Don’t disregard the other actors and actresses on the show who have large fan followings and have kept the show from being canceled.
@Mary: if you really believe in the beginning LIKE I SAID any of the other actors had half as many fans as he did? uhhh no. and they did. if you go on any forum half of the members say “well i started watching for chad, but…” chad has given this show and these fans a lot and all anyone does is bash him.

Actually the other actors and actresses DID have more or less the same number of fans as he did. I think I would’ve know since I’ve been watching the show for six years now and have been on forums related to the cast and show for long enough to know that A LOT of people had different reasons for starting to watch the show…..and NO, it wasn’t because of Chad. I’m not saying that their aren’t people out there who didn’t start watching because of him because their are. But I also happen to know A LOT of people who started watching for other reasons. So don’t just chalk it all up to him. I’m not bashing him or anything….I’m just saying what I’ve seen and know from being a huge fan of this show for years.
But this post is about Robert Buckley coming to OTH and thats all. If people will watch the show or won’t watch the show then its entirely up to them. But whats the point of sitting there and saying “I won’t watch” and stuff? If you won’t watch, then fine…..theres no need to advertise it. Especially since we all know that no one really seems to care. This is a blog and people don’t really care.

one tree hill is the worst show on tv. it should be a day time show and play during the soap operas its so bad. sophia cries all the time because she thinks it makes her look talented, james is boring, hilarie burton is just dreadful with her gapping mouth. chad and joy are the only good ones. so glad chad left the show and will be doing movies now.
thank gawd hes in… so much better than chad…. way hotter too….. cant wait for him on OTH…

Oh so now since Chad has left OTH, you think that its the “worst show?” Give me a break you moron. You probably weren’t saying any of that sh*t when Chad was still on the show. If you really believe that Chad was one of the “good” actors on the show….then you clearly don’t know what acting really is. Do you have any f*ckin idea how much a lot of people dreaded his scenes, especially after mid-season 4. It turns out that fans of the show aren’t the only ones who think he doesn’t know how to act. I’ve seen some lists on certain sites that have ranked him as one of the worst actors on television. All he does is squint and bores people to death in his scenes. But hey, if thats your definition of “good acting,” then suit yourself.
I like CMM and Hilarie Burton. But, I stopped watching OTH b/c of the Lucas and Peyton pairing. For those that will stop watching OTH b/c those two left, there will be those tuning back in now that they are gone and fans of the new actors and actresses. I would be so sure that OTH will tank. I do wish the best of luck too CMM and Hilarie Burton.

i wouldnt call people ‘morons’ for their opinions. chad is one of my fave actors and he has scenes where he is extreamly good as well as ones where he is not so strong. i think he is a good actor, he has things he needs to work on but he is good. i don’t care if you hate him or love him or hate his acting or love it. its your opinion but he by far not the worst on TV, heck even on OTH.
i dont understand why you feel like you have to call names and swear at people for what they think.
all the actors have good and bad scenes.
and while you have found chad on lists of the worst actors on tv he has also been on the ones for the best on tv.

- Um… because Dawn is *ucking idiot she thinks just adding a good looking guy to the mix will magically replace two main characters leaving and increase the ratings. Robert is nice to look at , but I don’t give a *uck about him being on One Tree Hill honestly. Just another pointless character in One Tree Hill land.

Yeah he sucks so bad that is why he was the only OTH cast member to be submitted for an Emmy nominee…yeah go look at the list even if you all think he sucks, and maybe he won’t get picked for an EMMY nomination, at least he was submitted by the network or Mark thought he was good enough for it….SO ALL OF YOU WHO THINK HE SUCKS CAN GO SUCK ON THAT!!!! I love how people think he is going no where in his career LMAO like they can predict the future…ummm helloo obviously people think he is a great actor that is why he has been in movies and won awards GEEZ…
I was happy to see Chad got submitted for an Emmy Nomination this year…Even IF he doesn’t get chosen to be a nominee at least he was submitted by the network or creator…that says alot right there.

The only reason he was probably submitted for an Emmy nomination by Mark was because this is his last season. He’s gone for good. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen someone who has finished their character on a series get nominated for an Emmy nomination.
And Annie…..just because Chad has been in a few teen movies where he was constantly overshadowed by his co-stars like Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan, or won an award here and there(mostly for his looks) doesn’t exactly make him a “great” actor.
^ here come the reason as to why Chad was submitted…oh lord. He can’t be submitted bc he is a good actor, no it has to be for other stupid reason. give me a f*cking break.
