Of course he didn’t mean to kill himself, but what an a s s to do that. The chance, like a drug overdose, that you could die should have made him stop and think that if he needs to nearly die to get off, maybe he has a problem.
Now his entire life is overshadowed by how he died. All anyone can think of when they hear “David Carradine” is that he was a sick, sex-crazed, selfish weirdo. And his family and friends have to live with that humiliation. What a self-absorbed jerk.
