Jennifer Aniston: Omnipeace Pretty
OmniPeace founder Mary Fanaro and friends Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Sheryl Crow sport their favorite Omnipeace “Stamp Out Violence Against Women And Girls Of The Congo” t-shirts at a Kitson-sponsored dinner held at STK restaurant in Los Angeles on Thursday night (June 11).
Twenty-five percent of the proceeds from the sale of the Congo shirts will be donated to Unicef and V-day Foundation to build the City of Joy, a leadership and healing center and safe community for Congolese women and girls who have been victims of brutal rape and violence.
Back in 2007, Jen was spotted wearing an Omnipeace tank.

This is just kind of sickening. How Hollywood. A terrible problem that is reduced to these drag queens wearing t-shirts. For 25%. The maker meanwhile getting rich off all the stupes who buy them. I see things like this and it is just so discouraging.
Wow, glad to see Jennifer is doing something for African charities, even if only wearing a t-shirt and appearing in a fund-raiser. And they said she gives quietly. So even she could put the spotlight on causes like the best of them.

Not her biggest fan but its nice to see her supporting a good cause.
She may not be “beautiful” but she is pretty with a healthy body. Jennifer is very loyal and it shows by the friends. My brother always said you can tell a lot about a girl by how many good female friends she has. If she doesn’t really have any…(like some one else we all know) she is lacking in values.

Jen gets along very well with other women and women friends. She gets along well with her dad, and apparently has reconciled with her mother. Everybody who works with her always have good things to say about her. I hope someday she finds the right man, although I do believe that life for a woman does not have to necessarily have to include a man or children to be worthwhile.

That made me laugh. Perfect description. I just don’t get how Aniston thinks this look works for her. Okay, she’s had that frick’n hair style since Carter was President but the tanning has destroyed her skin and just aged her. It’s catching up to her now. She’s addicted to it.

I have to admire Courteney and David’s consistency. They have been supporting this charity for awhile now, and have done their share to shed some light on the problem. I don’t know how effective their work is for the Congolese women, but at least they are doing something, and have been for a while now. Can’t fault them for that.

They have, really? By posing in t-shirts because that’s all I’ve ever seen them do. I haven’t seen either of them visiting the Congo and/or on television discussing the problems in the Congo or getting politically involved.

I know what you mean, but at least they are trying to do something, even if only posing with t-shirts to raise awareness. I would rather they do more, but maybe they don’t have the time or inclination to actually go to Congo. I think it takes a special kind of person to actually GO there.

Don’t cry because I call a spade a spade, litle girl.
The prettiest of the bunch is that gal Mary, followed by Courteney (who is always gorgeous, but she does need to lay off whatever eye work she is getting done). But Mary & CC are really pretty.
Sheryl and Jennifer are in good shape for their ages, but their skin is overly tanned and orangey and looks damaged now so the faces are so-so. I always found that Sheryl and Jennifer could be sisters, they book loo alike, both are girls who have done the best with what they got (long chins, big foreheads, mannish kind of looks), but overally they are girls who had to work it to look good, not natural beauties.
Mary and Courteney are best friends for over 20 years, and yes Courteney and David have really done a lot of work for this foundation. Mary is the founder of this foundation and at the beginning of this year she has given Courteney an award, because she of all celebrities does most for people around her, and charity, too many to even name them all here, why? because she really cares. She could have given it to anyone, but she didn’t because as she said; Courteney is the best friend a girl can wish for, and while Mary was battling cancer herself nobody was so there for her as Courteney was. So instead of hating on a wonderful person, go do something for the world yourself. You are talking about something you don’t know anything about, obviously.

As said Jennifer and Sheryl too orange (especially JA) and ruined their skin. One year later 2007 she sporting an Ominipeace t shirt? I think Omnipeace is wonderful organization and no matter the motives or the intentions of some. Money will be donated to the woman of the Congo. With Courtney she seems to be “real” with aniston I have never gotten that vibe due to all the contradictions she has put out their in the media thru interviews. Maybe if she opened up and got REAL instead of hiding behind her HAIR, her friends, and her pr created image she would come across differently, I don’ think Aniston is a horroble person but she SEEMS at times to be more concerned about PUBLIC IMAGE?HOLLYWOOD than being invested in what is REAL. @helen: What’s the big deal about NOT having a man? Having a man does not define a woman. If Aniston or any of these woman wanted one, they could walk into just about anywhere and pick one. Maybe they enjoy being single. There’s a whole lot of freeedom in that. Did you ever think of that?! Nice intention. But it’s not working girls. Let’s see them travel to the Congo. they certainly can afford it. Oversee structure and organization. Provide jobs to the women. Where and Who started the negativity?
That is the question you should ask yourself, not only the negativity on blogs like this one, but the negativity in the excerpt that I posted above. Aniston has spent almost five years now(most recently a couple of months ago) putting pitt and jolie on trial with the help of the media, and throwing around the very same insults in a public forum that her fans like to complain about. Two wrongs don’t make a right it would be nice if her fans would at least acknowledge the part she has played (with her own words) in the negativity and “war” that she helped in rallying her troops.
Aniston complains about things but never acknowledges her own faults and things she has done to contribute to “the triangle” she has know problem using or helped create in my opinion.

just my two cents, knowing the economy is in turmoil right now , if you are making enough money then maybe you can spend extra bucks for that expensive shirt they sell at kitson as the 25 % of the sales will go to the omipeace that would benefit abuse women- YOU MUST BUY THAT EXPENSIVE SHIRT. why should buy that over- priced shirt, if i can just donate my money directly to the organization?…..why do i have this KITSON STORE RICH?…..i can buy a cheaper shirt that almost looked better than that for a fraction of price. my point is if you want to donate, please do so ,whatever amount rather than buying a shirt that make this kitson store RICHER than EVER. also for jennifer et al……….it’s nice intention but POSING WITH OVER-PRICED shirts. Prettyisaspretty does, I for one can’t stand the company of alot of gossiping naggy females around who complain about their kids, dissing other females, work and men. I don’t know about the rest of the females here but I can only tollerate a couple of my girlfriends. I have many but if that means I have no values then be it. I go happy and leave happy. And I simply hate women who just talk and talk about how crappy their lives are. Okay enough about that, I think abuse against women and children is wrong and any charity trying to get the word out is great. Enough is enough and tougher laws need to be passed to prevent this.

CONSPIRACY THEORY-you’re absolutely right. i remember reading that interview article of Jennifer Aniston and I realized then she didn’t care. She stumbled all over the place, because she had no genuine care or concern for charity projects. Her actions and words have never supported those less fortunate. I find her actions to be all for show instead of genuine concern and care. It’s very sad because she is a person of status, power, and wealth that could contribute so much more than she has.

Jolie is a very busy woman and clearly does not have a lot of downtime to frolic unless her firends are in the same circle of influence. Hence, she is friends with Marianne Pearl, Gwen Stefani to name a few. Do you see amibtious, accomplished women who are leaders frolicking around with a lot of women, ever? The answer is no. They use their time wisely. Hell, do you see many of the actresses, in general, run around town alot with a bunch of girlfriends? The answer is no.

You think Aniston is emotionally stable? She has made a string if bad choices in men since Tate Donovan, her fiance before Brad. We are now talking over 11 years and counting. There are NOT that many actresses today that have had the bad luck that Jennifer has had with men in a long time. An emotionally stable woman would be willing, motivated as well as capable to make smarter choices to become emotionally and romantically involved with men. You cannot keep blaming the men in your life when the outcome still turns out the same.
This is truly, indeed, one of her weakest areas. Successful in business? Yes. Successful in a requited and sustaining love relationship? Hell no.
