Jennifer Aniston arrives at the Women In Film 2009 Crystal And Lucy Awards at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel on Friday (June 12) in Century City, Calif.
The 40-year-old former Friends actress paired her strapless Prada mini with simple Azzedine Alaia heels. Jen accessorized with Fred Leighton diamond earrings and ring.
At the ceremony, Aniston was awarded the evening’s top award, The 2009 Crystal Award. WIF is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women within the global entertainment, communications and media industries and to preserving the legacy of women within those industries.

If you look at these photos you’ll see that they’re in very soft focus. The other pics on the net of her tonight aren’t . She’s really, really harsh looking and you’re right about her skin. #42, Domino, no she is not beautiful in these pixs. She did not look very good in the Management NYC premiere pixs, too tight dress and too short but she looked better then than she does here. The dress in NYC needed to be a little longer and bigger and would have been fine as it was a great color and style on her, but this dress can be bought at Frederick’s of Hollywood.
She looks cheap and trashy, a term that I did not in the past associate with Jen. Last year for premieres and events she wore a series of great little black dresses that I loved, this year it is like she has lost her way.

The last time she looked half way decent, was at the Marley and Me premiere in LA. That LBD was nice, I will give her that. But it seems that as soon as the big 4 0 started looming, she became desperate, and pulled out all the stops. Unfortunately for her, all her attempts were busts. And as much as she made a big deal about turning 40 and feeling fabulous, it’s obvious it was all a lie.

It is amazing how brave everyone gets while sitting at a computer with no one looking at their picture. Jen and Angi are both beautiful mature women. Please just respect that Jen puts her self out there, unlike all of you who sit bravely behind a keyboard. I’m sure you all wish you looked like Jen or Angi, jealously is not becoming.

Hey Jade, I can give credit where it’s due. She’s in good shape for a woman her age. She’s not overweight or underweight. She’s got some things going for her. Her big problem is she doesn’ t know how to use her assets. She doesn’t know how to make them work for her. If I was her stylist, I’d give her the following advice (and if she didn’t take it, I’d quit as her stylist):

1) Stop wearing minis. No matter if she has good legs, she looks like a damn fool wearing dresses designed for 25 year old women. Wear something more elegant that makes her look poised and glamorous, not looking like a desperate cougar out to hook any young man she can get.

2) Change that damn hairdo. It’s old, dated, and ridiculous. What works for you when you are in your 20s and 30s doesn’t work any more once you hit 40.

3) Stay out of the sun. She’s going to do some serious damage to her skin and possibly to her health if she keeps tanning like that. It’s bad enough she has skin like cured rawhide already but the health consequences can be devastating. Basal cell carcinoma is bad enough. Melanoma is a killer.

4) Wear some clothes that fit. Nothing looks more ridiculous than a woman stuffing herself into a dress two sizes too small. She looks like a sausage about to bust out of its casing.

All great advice. For some reason Jen is wearing too small and too short clothes and why is anyone’s guess. She used to look quietly understated and wear clothes that fit her well and showed off her good body. But no more. I know she is in competition with 20, 30, and a few other 40 somethings for roles, but stuffing your self into too small and too tight clothes is not the way to roll, her boobs are even sagging here. Ugh!! I am sure her stylist dresses her as she dictates but someone needs to take her aside and talk to her. This dress tonite is terrible, the color is bad on the orange skin, she is beginning to remind me of Donatella V who is bright orange all the time.

One thought I have lately is that the studios do not have much faith in Jen’s ability to sell a movie just on her name without AList costars or without a built in audience like Marley and Me which was a best selling book for months, so they change the names of her films at will. Gerry Butler is not AList and his last rom com was terrible and went down the tubes instantly.
Jen is not offered any of the big rom com roles like with Ben Stiller or Adam Sadler or even Jim Carrey anymore, and that is ageism to me. She is never offered roles in anything but rom coms. And unlike Sandra B who produces all her films Jen’s production company formed over 2 years ago had not been able to get a single film out of development. Reigning and younger rom com queens CameronD and KateH are now in dramas and giving interviews in which they say they are aging out of rom coms.
Now where does this leave Jen who at 40.4 is older, not as pretty, not getting the roles others are scooping up at will? I don’t know what Jen will do when she has to fact the fact that she can’t play rom coms anymore. Jen’s strength was showcased in an ensemble, Friends, and I do think that is where she shines. But all she is doing these days is B/C films to me that do not point to longevity in a film career. I hope I am proved wrong. But I am really beginning to think this way. She maybe stayed in Friends too long.

I’ve always been a fan of Angelina’s, Brad only when they became a couple. Didn’t really care for him before because he was just another pretty face in HW. It’s not that I want Jen ran over by a bus but she just irritates me because she plays a weak victim and I hate weak women who play that part when it takes two. I believe Brad was just as devastated his marriage didn’t work out, he simply adored Jen in the beginning. Angelina didn’t break into Brads house and steal him, didn’t pack his bags for him did not make him get divorced. It was mutual between Jennifer and Brad. Jen filed for divorce apparently it wasn’t worth keeping. Again why do you insist more hate should be pointed at Angelina? Vince who worked on the set of MAMS didn’t see anything inappropriate between them and didn’t change the story even with Jen. It doesn’t add up that Angelina was behind it. Seemed Brad found the courage to end an unhappy marriage where they both grew apart. I say being bitter and nasty towards Angelina is just as wrong. If Jen fans can go to Angie and Brad threads we can do the same to Jens.

I think she has the body for that dress, but she still shouldn’t wear it because it’s not appropriate for a 40yr old woman. She should dress more like Halle Berry. Halle wears fun and stylish stuff, she looks hot, but it’s appropriate clothes for a 40 year old.
I think women age best when they just eat good (but not to extremes), exercise, and take care of their skin….moisturize, facials, and just a light tan for color. All this Botox is messing up everybody’s faces, and being to thin like Angie doesn’t look so great either. I think both Jen & Angie are gorgeous, but I think they both go a little extreme and those are the things that detract from their beauty.

Despite all the verified cases of skin cancer caused the sun, I still see people laying around the pool by my co-op barbecuing themselves in the sun like hot dogs on a grill. Old habits die hard.
Her body is not bad for a 4O years old woman but her face is really showing her age ,as a matter of fact, she is looking more and more like Dustin Hoffman, despite chopping her nose to a smaller size.

I think she bulked up for Lara Croft. She’s probably got a metabolism that is off the charts and burns calories like a tornado. If you have a naturally small appetite and a very active metabolism you have to eat like a horse just to maintain your weight. Once you hit middle age your metabolism goes south and your weight goes north. In 15 years time she’ll be piling on the pounds and dieting to take them off.

No you don’t! I had that metabolism and it was awful. When I was 30 I weighed 107 lbs and I’m 5 feet 6 inches tall. As I got older I got to be a healthier weight. Now I’m 128 lbs and feel good.

I think Angie’s been under a lot of stress filming an action movie and having six children to look after and the oldest child is seven and the two youngest aren’t even a year old yet. She’s a very hands-on mom but there is only so much any mom can do. I hope she takes a couple of years off to just kick back and relax with her family. And eats a lot.
Gorgeous as usual. She looks amazing for her age. Great skin, figure, and fashion sense. Jen has so much to envy, but she seems sweet so you can’t despise her for her beauty.

I too was divorced in 2005, filed myself as Jen did, thought Jen and I were sort of alike, but we are totally not. She seems to be frozen in time, she is not like me at all. Things did not work out for me, the ex and I moved on, and that was that. You know, real life and all.
Some of you here are very strange people to act as you do over a divorce not your own that happened going on 5 years ago. All with a brain knows that to announce a separation in the first of January means the actual separation happpened long before that. My ex and I were really through 5 months before we told anybody, it was our business and we had things to work through first.
I keep thinking that those who do are either mentally defective or age 12 and under, you just have to be in one of these 2 categories. No other explanation is plausible to me.

I don’t know why Maniston was more afraid about Nicole but my theory is maybe because first, though Nicole has a sweet image, she was also deemed as a ‘homewrecker’ back in the day when Tom and her fell in love during the ‘Days of Thunder’ shooting and had an affair leading to Tom’s divorce.

Well isn’t Jen absolutely beautiful it was so nice to see her when I went on. I love her dress I think its gorgeous her hair her beauty. Now thats some leg to put out there. I don’t see anything wrong with her dress nor her age she such a young looking forty. I don’t even think forty is old. I believe its how you feel about yourself. Drury University broke ground Friday on the O’Reilly Family Event Center and revealed that Springfield’s Pitt family has donated $600,000 to pay for the center’s Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design Gold certification.
The 65,000-square-foot center will be the first Gold LEED-certified arena in the country, according to a Drury news release. The Pitt family - which includes actor Brad Pitt and local businessman Doug Pitt - made the donation in honor of their father, William A. Pitt. The playing surface of the 3,100-seat arena will be named the William A. Pitt Court.
The original arena design called for a minimum of Silver LEED certification. Features will include low-flow water fixtures, a dedicated recycling area and a solar-reflective roof and pavement materials, the release said.

Yawn….once again I come to JJ and hear that a woman is worth nothing without a man and children….yawn again. Some day you ladies will figure out what is really important.
