Jennifer Aniston arrives at the Women In Film 2009 Crystal And Lucy Awards at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel on Friday (June 12) in Century City, Calif.
The 40-year-old former Friends actress paired her strapless Prada mini with simple Azzedine Alaia heels. Jen accessorized with Fred Leighton diamond earrings and ring.
At the ceremony, Aniston was awarded the evening’s top award, The 2009 Crystal Award. WIF is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women within the global entertainment, communications and media industries and to preserving the legacy of women within those industries.

Hey Jade, I can give credit where it’s due. She’s in good shape for a woman her age. She’s not overweight or underweight. She’s got some things going for her. Her big problem is she doesn’ t know how to use her assets. She doesn’t know how to make them work for her. If I was her stylist, I’d give her the following advice (and if she didn’t take it, I’d quit as her stylist):
.
1) Stop wearing minis. No matter if she has good legs, she looks like a damn fool wearing dresses designed for 25 year old women. Wear something more elegant that makes her look poised and glamorous, not looking like a desperate cougar out to hook any young man she can get.

2) Change that damn hairdo. It’s old, dated, and ridiculous. What works for you when you are in your 20s and 30s doesn’t work any more once you hit 40.
.
3) Stay out of the sun. She’s going to do some serious damage to her skin and possibly to her health if she keeps tanning like that. It’s bad enough she has skin like cured rawhide already but the health consequences can be devastating. Basal cell carcinoma is bad enough. Melanoma is a killer.

4) Wear some clothes that fit. Nothing looks more ridiculous than a woman stuffing herself into a dress two sizes too small. She looks like a sausage about to bust out of its casing.

The movie has already been renamed “The Bounty”, its 4th name already, the name “The Bounty Hunter ” is no more.
Travelling is now “Love Happens”, after name chance to “Brand New Day” was discarded. 3 name changes not a good sign.
A real fan knows these things. All rom coms as usual.

Look again, if you think she has long legs. The heels of her sandals are 1/3 the length of her lower legs. Without them, she would be really short and stumpy. Trying too hard, Jen. FORTY. FORTY-ONE soon…..

What? There already is a movie called The Bounty, but it was about the Bounty mutiny. It was the third remake of Mutiny On The Bounty, and probably the worst.

All great advice. For some reason Jen is wearing too small and too short clothes and why is anyone’s guess. She used to look quietly understated and wear clothes that fit her well and showed off her good body. But no more. I know she is in competition with 20, 30, and a few other 40 somethings for roles, but stuffing your self into too small and too tight clothes is not the way to roll, her boobs are even sagging here. Ugh!! I am sure her stylist dresses her as she dictates but someone needs to take her aside and talk to her. This dress tonite is terrible, the color is bad on the orange skin, she is beginning to remind me of Donatella V who is bright orange all the time.
And you and I agree about the hair, long past time for a change. Same same same.

It is amazing how brave everyone gets while sitting at a computer with no one looking at their picture. Jen and Angi are both beautiful mature women. Please just respect that Jen puts her self out there, unlike all of you who sit bravely behind a keyboard. I’m sure you all wish you looked like Jen or Angi, jealously is not becoming.

OMG, poor Donatella is a mess. Skeletal arms and legs and fake boobs like basketballs, and that orange skin that looks like shrunken leather left out to dry. And that is exactly with Aniston is going to look like five years down the line if she doesn’t start using sunscreen and staying out of the sun now.

One thought I have lately is that the studios do not have much faith in Jen’s ability to sell a movie just on her name without AList costars or without a built in audience like Marley and Me which was a best selling book for months, so they change the names of her films at will. Gerry Butler is not AList and his last rom com was terrible and went down the tubes instantly.
Jen is not offered any of the big rom com roles like with Ben Stiller or Adam Sadler or even Jim Carrey anymore, and that is ageism to me. She is never offered roles in anything but rom coms. And unlike Sandra B who produces all her films Jen’s production company formed over 2 years ago had not been able to get a single film out of development. Reigning and younger rom com queens CameronD and KateH are now in dramas and giving interviews in which they say they are aging out of rom coms.
Now where does this leave Jen who at 40.4 is older, not as pretty, not getting the roles others are scooping up at will? I don’t know what Jen will do when she has to fact the fact that she can’t play rom coms anymore. Jen’s strength was showcased in an ensemble, Friends, and I do think that is where she shines. But all she is doing these days is B/C films to me that do not point to longevity in a film career. I hope I am proved wrong. But I am really beginning to think this way. She maybe stayed in Friends too long.

When she and Owen were promoting “Marley and Me” over in other
country’s,the dresses she wore were classy. Yet a lot of people
commented, they didn’t like the outfits, Even the long elegant light blue
gown. I like the way she looks in these pictures.
