i hope that NONE of that money goes to animal testing
animal experiments hurt humans as well as the animals who are burned, shocked, starved, cut open, and killed.
Alternatives to animal tests are efficient and reliable and, in most cases, take less time to complete, cost only a fraction of the animal experiments they replace, and are not plagued with species differences that make extrapolation difficult or impossible. Today’s most forward-thinking scientists realize that we don’t need to choose between human health and compassion for animals. There are some medical problems that can probably only be cured by testing on unwilling people, but we don’t do it because we recognize that it would be wrong. We need to extend this same concern to other living, feeling beings, regardless of what species they may be.

WHY WHY wHY would any-one in their right mind say anything bad about this donation. Even if you don’t like them. if you read what this money will be used for, it is fantastic for the kids of the area and beyond. The Jane Pitt Pedatric centre sounds excellent.
MOON-I believe Doug Pitt had an interview with the local paper about the donation, so don’t make assuptions that Ange rang any-body!!

I agree that testing on animals should be kept to a minimum through the use of alternative methods, which are being developed. However, like so many choices in life, its not a case of choosing good vs bad but a case of choosing between 2 goods or 2 bads and working which one is the better choice.

I’m for animal testing if it means keeping me and my family safe when taking medication.

Brad has said that Angie is extremely generous, and I have no doubt that she has influenced him to be more generous too.

Everyone’s name was mentioned accept the homewrecker. Pitt is distancing himself from his babies’ mama because he knows her fauxmanitarianism is being exposed. Look around the net people, the public is on to them and Pitt wants no part of the sh!tstorm that’s about to take place. By the way, when is Mickey’s or Andrew’s book coming out?
It´s great that Brad, Angie, Doug & Lisa PItt and Julie & Rob Neal donated money for the hospital in their hometown. And what makes it even more special is that the wing will be named after their mum Jane PItt. Jane and Bill Pitt sure are very proud of their children and their families. No matter what the tabloids say Angelina and Jane Pitt certainly are very close to one another.
@melissa Malcolm: Angie’s movie comes out in 2010. Brad comes out in late August, this donation will be forgotten by then.
i’ve heard that andrew’s book is being published by st martin’s press in the united states next winter. but i would be willing to be they”ll try to have it out for xmas. as for the book by the other person; i don’t know. what i want to know is what brad pitt’s family is going to say. i don’t think it’s any secret that his mother does not like angie. all you have to do is look at the few photos angie and his mom together.
angie is all smiles and mrs pitt just eyes her with hostility. i don’t think brad’s mother will ever forgive angie for breaking up his marriage to jennifer. mrs pitt is more than likely too smart to talk to andrew morton directly but i’ll bet she’ll find someone to do the talking for her. if that happens, angie had better run for cover.
