OlderJennifer Aniston Talks Love Life
Jennifer Aniston poked fun at her love life on Friday when she accepted the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film.
Host Chelsea Handler presented the award to Jen and first made this funny: “You have increased the visibility of women in film, and we thank you for that. You’ve recently decreased the visibility of John Mayer, so we thank you for that.”
Aniston then joked, “I’m trying to be more careful than I have been in the past about the titles of movies that I choose to be in. It’s funny – I kind of noticed something a couple years ago that there seemed to be this strange parallel to the movies I was doing and my life off screen.”
“It started with, well, The Good Girl,” she explained. “Then that evolved into Rumor Has It, followed by Derailed, and then there was The Break-Up. And then on the lighter side was Friends with Money, which I felt was a bit on the nose. So if any of you have a project titled Everlasting Love with an Adult, Stable Male… that would be great! I’m at table six, and my agents are at table 12.”

I would have taken that as an insult if someone had said that to me about a man I had dated. This is a man she thought of highly enough to take him back after they split up. What did that say about what people were thinking behind her back. Like LUCY8 they are laughing at her not with her.

I think it is very cool of Jen to be able to laugh about it, I mean, everyone else in the world is taking her life so seriously so why should she bother,lol! She is sitting back and enjoying the ride :-) Good for her!!!

Love Jen’s ability laugh at her love life. That’s a great approach.

#32 doesn’t realize that people are laughing AT Jennifer Aniston, not with her. She can pretend to be the funny girl but after the past few years of blabbing about her ex and her bad choices of boyfriends (rolls eyes), she’s turned out to be the joke.

I have a title “A woman who took her marriage for granted and when her hubby finally could not take the neglect,he left. The woman then whines about her perfect marriage being spoiled by another party. The wife then decides to take out a hate campaign for nearly 5 years,even tho her former husband and new lady have 6 kids.

#22 I understand where you are coming from re-negative JA comments, but really saying stuff about Jen’s hair&clothes and body are nothing compared to the filth that is posted on B&A threads. It is very frustrating, OK they got divorced, but why are they still so closely put together. Tabloids, that’s why! Even today, I read on another site that the Pitt family are donating $1mil to open a kid’s cancer centre in Brad’s hometown, Anyway Jen was mentioned in this short article. WHY? If, Jen donated the same, why mention the Ex. It would have nothing to do with him and the same should go for Brad/family. Most people are victims of tabloids and believe every hateful thing written,even when proved over&over that it was not true!!

what is wrong with you people? i think she is beautiful, talented, and gets the joke. she can not help that the tabloids are obsessed with her personal life. she doesnt go out and get drunk at clubs, she doesnt shop on robertson waiting for the cameras to find her, she lives a relatively simple life with her friends (including courteney cox). In the last year, she proved she is one of the 3 top actresses when it comes to box office (the other 2 are reese witherspoon and angelina jolie) and she got amazing reviews for Management, a movie that clearly shows she can act.
the joke is funny to all people, but nor funny to those who are walking- Jennifer Aniston- encyclopedias.
I really dont know that much about her personal life, other than the story that even my dog knows about, but i thought she was funny. i think someone who can laugh at themselves is someone who doesnt take life so seriously and has fun, and also someone who wouldnt care if people laugh at her or with her.
her dress is hideous though, it looks like made with aluminum foil. she actually looks like an award herself.
