OlderTaylor Swift is Crazy For Country Music
Taylor Swift performs at the 2009 CMA Music Festival at the LP Field on Sunday (June 14) in Nashville, Tenn.
The 19-year-country cutie just loves creating and performing music, and never finds time to complain. “I get tired but I don’t get tired of it,” she told the Tennesean. “When I was a little kid I remember sitting there thinking how lucky I would be if someday people cared about the words I wrote, and when you spend so much time daydreaming about that, I don’t complain. When I go to a restaurant I know a line is going to form in front of the table, but didn’t I used to wish for that? I’m not going to be that girl that wishes for something her whole life and then complains when she gets it. I’m not going to be that girl.”
“For me writing, I sit down and the process doesn’t involve me thinking about the demographic of people I’m trying to hit or what genre of music it falls under,” Taylor said. “When I sit down to write a song, the only person I’m thinking about is the person I’m writing a song about, and what I wish I could say to their face, but am going to say in a song instead.”

I saw this girl in concert Saturday night with Keith Urban and I’m sorry, but I couldn’t wait for her set to be over…it was so theatrical…not like a real concert. She just slung her head and hair so much that it got annoying and I thought one time she was having an epilectic seizure on stage. She had a wardrobe change that took away from the flow of the concert. Maybe it’s because I’m older, but I don’t think I could sit through a headlining show of hers. Now Keith was more my type and he had that arena going wild and everyone on their feet and Taylor did not! Oh yeah, that performance of her beating on the drum cans….what is that all about….not needed in my opinion!

From the photos, Taylor’s stage presence has really grown. All those years of touring have started to pay off.
The meteoric growth of her fanbase parallels her growth as a song-writer,musician and live performer. Yet she still manages to remain humble and approachable to her fans.

I think Taylor Swift has an amazing voice and her performance at the Music Festival was one of her best. I can’t wait to see her live concert.
I saw Taylor with Keith Urban on June 7th and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed her set. She knows exactly who she is and what she is all about. Taylor puts on a show that she knows her fans will enjoy. There is so much honesty in her lyrics and her voice and it shows with each song. She shows why her fans love her so much and why they will continue to do so as her career goes on.
#6 Keith and Taylor are two totally different performers and styles. I loved Keith just as much as I did Taylor’s set. Keith wouldn’t have brought her on if he didn’t feel she would do a great job. Taylor Swift is only going to get better and better as she goes on.

Won’t Country Music just go away…….it is so lame and so depressing….IT SUX!!!!!! I use to be a country music fan when Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were big but since the teenagers took over…..country music has really gone down the tubes!!!!!
I saw the keith-Taylor concert also. Taylor uses props to cover up her lack of vocal ability. She just plain cannot sing live at all. I am sure her tween fans loved her-but I was annoyed and wishing it was over and Keith would perform. I will not go to another of her concerts and I definately will not buy another of her albums.
Taylor may not sing just like Carrie or Martina, but she does have vocal ability it just isn’t soaring. When she sings her songs you can tell she means her words. Bob Dylan wasn’t the greatest vocalist either, but his songs always came across with meaning because they were his own lyrics. Taylor Swift is a talented girl and has a long road ahead of her. I can’t stand people criticizing her just because she can’t hit high notes or doesn’t have the perfect voice. One thing that I really love about her is that she doesn’t lip sync like so many other female artists now a days. Taylor is famous for her own right and not skimping around on stage half naked and lip syncing.
